The Blade also found that the Ohio Department of Taxation placed a lien against Joe because $1,183 in personal property taxes had not been paid. To pile on, the paper disclosed, based on divorce records, Joe's 2006 income — $40,000, hardly enough to qualify for the tax hike he's so concerned about.
Joe Wurzelbacher doesn't even have a plumbers license. He's never put together a business plan to take over his boss Al Newell's Newell Plumbing and Heating Co. of Toledo. Newell has never cleared $150k in a good year.

If business makes $300k only $50k is taxed 3% more than the already 36%. The difference between $18K (36%) and $19.5K (39%)under Obama. Excuse my sarcasm "is 1.5k really going to break a business on hiring employees". FYI US minimum wage is $3/hr less than that of Canada. McCain voted 19 times against raising the minimum wage. Bull; here's why. All of those people sitting on the top don't pull a thing. They make their money off of their money and spend the rest of the time running multimillion/billion dollar companies into the ground. Some of Obamas ideas may be socialist, but our government has been a capitalism/socialism mix since before you were born, and I guarantee it's served you well.

NOTHING is free! Taxing companies to give to the "poor" will cause these businesses to raise prices and force the working middle class to pay these higher prices. Companies will not lose a dime!! If they can't raise prices, they'll cut jobs. Bottom line? The working middle class, who can't just get a pay raise whenever they want, will ultimately have to pay for all this "spread the wealth" tax plan. Just look at who's paying for the Fannie Mae free housing now!!!

I think I'll keep my sympathies for those who work just as hard as Joe making minimum wage and facing the tough choices of food, health care, college for the kids, gas, and housing. Hard work does not always translate into wealth and success - ask any farmer. Tax relief for those who need it is what Obama's plan is about. It's not a hand out, it's allowing 95% of Americans to keep more of the money they've earned so they can buy what they need to keep their families and the economy going.

The amount of extra taxes Joe would have to pay would be more than offset by the business of just one new customer. If the middle class is not able to buy existing homes, new homes, update their kitchens and bathrooms, then Joe AINT GOING TO GET ANY CUSTOMERS! He just plain isn't rehersed enough to be a plant on the one hand, and on the other, his question was far too well formed, and far too fair, calm, and rational to have come from the McCain camp in my opinion.
I don't think that the McCain people are organized enough or intellegent enough to do this intentionaly, and I don't think the question would have been about taxes if they did, it likely would have been about acorn or some other bullshit.
