This is not a drop kick. A drop kick hits the ground first, and isnt used for field positiion (its used for FGs and XPs, and has been used less then 10 times in tghe past 60 years). This is a sorry attempt at a "torpedo" punt, which end up spinning in a similar fashion to a Quarterbacks Spiral. As some people have pointed out, the ball should be angled inwards.

Personally i dont understand why people dont "drop punt" more. Ben Graham does it and he is a top 3 Punter in the NFL.

To anyone questioning his "ability" to punt:

If you notice, he takes two steps, stops, gives instruction, then kicks. He stops his initial forward momentum so he can explain something. Momentum is required for power...the shortest possible approach is the rocker step and that still requires forward momentum.

Everyone "thinks" they can kick/punt a football, but the truth is it takes MANY hours of practice in order to achieve consistency and power, and even more time to hone accuracy.
