This is why we sleep soundly at night, in a warm bed. This is why we can walk outside of our house and feal relatively safe. This is why we can live the "good life", or "live it up" here in america. So next time you see a little kid playing in the street, smile on there face with out a care in the world this is why. Remember these men next time you and your friends are at the movies etc; bcuz it is soley becasue of men like this that you can do that in such a care free manor.
@danrox127 Dude. Seriously. Read it. He's nowhere near as poetic and soulful as he seems in the show. He just fucks around and causes trouble. The show puffs him up a little too much.
@ninjasore Hows he shit head? he's an amazing writer and he fought in the greatest human conflict ever ..what have you done ?... your a bit if shithead
To the brave men of the 1st division, men and women of the Marines, and U.S. military who "did their bit." Thank you. May Mr. Bob "Lucky" rest in peace.
In the part where Leckie arrived home, his parents, especially his mother, seemed to be indifferent to his returning home. His mother's only concern was that he didn't give them any notice. They treated him like he was a stranger instead of their son. I guess they, like a lot of folks, didn't realize the hell he went through over there and how lucky he was to make it back alive and in one piece.
The japs probably would've had a chance if they did this thing called not run into machine gun fire. That, and not rush people armed with guns with only katanas.
@snowstorm9091moua the point is the japs never have been defeated in battle so to them we were not worthy opponents so why not just over run us and make us feel like nothing but the problem they didnt see was that they were coming against guns that could shoot more bullets then they could send
''It was dark, but I dared not close my eyes, lest the darkness crawl beneath my eyelids and suffocate me.'' A line, from His book.
