Secondly its about half the speed of badminton... Doubles player Boon Heong hit a 421km/263mph smash, which is a lot faster than Andy Roddick's 155mph.

Thirdly I guess that from your list of sports you are american and I used the UK as an example, where it's the most popular racquet sport to play so you sound quite stupid saying it doesn't "matter". My argument is - put it on tv and it will get followers

You know what's really sad... In the UK, in terms of people playing, badminton is the most popular racquet sport - by a long way over tennis. It's also a far faster game with much more trickery and action. The games also last around 30mins (normally) compared with 3 hours for tennis.

WHY OH WHY isn't this shown on the BBC or even sky?! I think it'd do really well, yet we're stuck for just tennis. I'd be happy with table-tennis on tv too - amazing stuff. TV rights wouldn't be expensive. Agree?

@whowes1 tennis is a much faster pased sport also its much smarter sport. most other sports that matter like hockey, football, soccer, basket ball all take around two and a half with commericals. badminton doesnt have a big enough following to get on tv either.

If most Asian won the tournaments, less Europeans will succeed defeating them. Europeans will loose their attention in watching badminton because of this. @whowes1 I think its because its not as dramatic a game for TV as tennis. The shuttle is harder to see when its moving fast and smaller and less...yellow. The distances are smaller so the cameras can't get in face-on as easily either, tighter angles.. That's my take (I mean, I think the basic reason is good, not sure on my detailed "why" thats the case). Thoughts?
