  • love oasis olddays .great tune !

  • The 2nd best band in the world

  • reminds me of liam's voice nowadays lol

  • LOVE IT. XX

  • You can't beat the real thing!

  • What's this song called?

  • what year was this?

  • corre la leyenda que el era el vocalista cuando liam salía pedo al escenario..bueno si no el hubiera salido siempre jaja

    oasis rules

  • excuse me... but what's the name of the song?

  • @fersho223 It's: "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" originally a jingle from a Coca Cola advert, sung by The New Seekers, and then re-recorded -- by the same band -- as an eventual hit single.

Presumably this tribute band covered it, tongue-in-cheek, due to it's similarity to "Shakermaker".

  • the guitarist has a real early oasis, Noel-style guitar playing. He plays, looks (despite facial appearance), and sounds like the man himself. It sounds really good. and the singer is good, but is trying a bit too hard to be like liam.

  • Very nice, check out my cover of Some Might Say if you get a chance, cheers mate!

    watch?v=vHL9_Tfv5P0

  • why is he wearing shorts?

  • @jhwoasis93 Cos Liam nicked his kecks

  • haha i actually really like this song.

  • They talk about Oasis v. Blur... in their heyday, Oasis had tribute acts singing their songs like Nowaysis and Mike Flowers Pops...Blur had.......em.. well....noone.

  • an oasis coverband plays on top of the pops,

thats how huge oasis are, even their clones can get big...

  • @sunj5976 haha exactly.

  • lolz....people noway sis is the first name oasis used to their band hahahahahha

  • @niwreuq go and fuck off and go .. whish away boy

  • No its not they were called the rain!!

  • yeah bcoz u know fuck all b4 oasis liam had a band named the rain then noel joined and they changed it to oasis get your facts right b4 u comment shite

  • this pretty funny and cool at the same time.....it reminds you how big oasis actually were in their heyday. lol.....who else has got so big that a coverband of the real band went on top of the pops cuz the REAL band was so big and unaccessible hah.

  • this is disturbing

  • yeah is a fkin crap they try to be like oasis ..... -_-!! hey come on invent your style don copy COME ON!!! OASIS FOREVER !! DONT COPY U BIG FAKE !!!

  • shut up der a tribute if u wer such a big oasis fan lie i am u wud knoe noel likes dem and has seen a few gigs of them

  • what a load of shite,fkin crap

  • what a cunt!!!

  • such as rip off of shakermaker

  • @lookie1992 yeah agreed

  • @lookie1992

Which was a ripoff of a 70s coca cola ad.

  • @bigmuffexpress mate thats only like the first few seconds so...

  • @bigmuffexpress that was the whole point!!!

  • ur a twat

  • the singers a twat

  • like the real thing then

  • Oasis Will Live Forever

  • this is better than most of the shit out there.

  • People who get pissed because they're copying Oasis need to lighten up.

  • i dont think so... its a terrible fake so ...... agg!! xD i dont like it

  • This won't be a popular comment, but I don't actually believe that Oasis ever did anything original. Everything they put out had echoes of songs released years before. That's not to say that Oasis never did anything decent. So before all you Oasis fans get on here to slate me, I suggest you listen to The Beatles, The Kinks and a few others to prove my point. (Even the exaggerated tension between the brothers is nothing new!)

  • It's ridiculous of you to assume that Oasis fans haven't listened to the Beatles or the Kinks. Most people have grown up on that music, especially the Beatles.

To say that Oasis simply copy the Beatles is a statement that ignorant people trying to pass themselves off as music fans have been saying for years.

  • I'm as much as a musician as I am a fan; I think you'll find that many Oasis fans couldn't even name a Kinks song; (to the majority of you that can, I apologise,) but to reiterate my point, please name for me a single Oasis number that doesn't rely heavily on another tune? Again, I am not saying that I don't think Oasis are any good- they got me into the guitar-what I'm saying is that they have NEVER written a completely original song.

  • Yeah, because "You Really Got Me" isn't a ridiculously well known song at all.

For a fan, you sure parrot the exact same thing as popular music media.

So besides the obvious ones, tell me, what other Oasis songs are completely unoriginal?

Who does Slide Away steal from? Shout It Out Loud? Angel Child? The Hindu Times? Gas Panic!? To say that they've "never" written a completely original song is ignorant.

  • What was Slide Away a rip-off of? Married with Children? Hindu Times? Sad Song? Shock of the Lightening? Falling Down? Song Bird? Cast No Shadow? Aquiesce? The Masterplan? Wonderwall? Stop Crying Your Heart Out?

I mean...if you are going to make a blanket statement (like Oasis has never written an original song) then you have to be expected to be pulled up on it!

I haven't even gone into obcure tracks...I think almost all of these are on Stop the Clocks

  • Er, didn't George Harrison have an album called Wonderwall? And Married with children is Oasis' "Woman is the n***** of the world" by Lennon. Please don't mistake me for you regular Oasis hate on here......I genuinely used to like them when they first came out, MsAngelChild, (I believe you were 9), but I soon saw that they were more of a tribute band than a band in their own right. I mean, you guys can't really believe that Liam would've worn those glasses and that jacket if it wasn't for Lennon

  • YOU my darling are a moron.

Nigger of the World is about the cross-cultural submisiveness of women to men.

Married With Children is about feeling trapped by a relationship...taking some time but knowing that you will probably be back with them anyways.

They don't sound ANYTHING alike AND have different themes.

And yeah...Gallagher stuck a word in a song that was associated with obscure Harrison project. The song sounds NOTHING like any Harrison song.

  • LOL...if you are going to accuse Oasis of being a tribute band in @ least have some MUSICAL basis for your arguement and not pure semantic. So based on the name of one song (not even a Beatles song) and a NONEXISTENT connection (either musically OR thematically) between a Lennon and Oasis song (again NOT a Beatles tune) Oasis are just a Beatlese cover band?

  • @MsAngelChild tribute band may be a bit harsh, but Noel Gallagher had been sued 6 times for plagiarism, so they must be "tributing" someone, if not the bealtes, and theres no saying that if John Lennon wasnt alive he wouldnt have sued over don't look back in anger

  • @MrEwant1980 Where are you pulling these figures out of? Noel has only been sued once or twice by Neil Innes for Whatever and The New Seekers for Shakermaker. John Lennon would of sued for Don't Look Back In Anger? Noel deliberatly put the piano bit at the start and I quote "50% taking the piss and 50% to create publicity for Imagine and make kids go out and buy it"

  • @FSX39 Stevie Wonder sued on the pre release of Whats the story, the original album contained Step Out, Wonder heard it and sued for the chorus of Everybodys Alright (Uptight) Judge awarded 10 % of royalties, so it was removed from the final album and replaced with the swamp song. Paul Gadd (Gary Glitter) sued for co writing hello for its use of "its good to be back". Neil Innes sued, New seekers sued, coca cola commenced procedings. george Harrison started, but later dropped

  • @MrEwant1980 Stevie Wonder never sued, he just wanted 10% royalites for Step Out. Can't blame him really haha

Neil Innes sued, New seekers sued, coca cola commenced procedings. george Harrison started, but later dropped for supersonic

  • @MsAngelChild that doesnt make any sense at all

  • @dean87bwfc yes it does, you just cant work it out, the point is they are much more than a beatles cover band, I agree thats just crap.

    Oasis are amazing

  • Considering their inclusion on best albums of all time lists that come out around the world people WILL be listening to Definitely Maybe and WTSMG in 40 years. They inspired many bands of the late 90's into the 00's. You are just too cynical and stuck in the past to care.

  • I heard Chris Martin say that the word yellow from "Yellow" was nothing except that he looked around his kitchen while looking for a two syllable word and saw a yellow pitcher. Does that make the song a tribute to a pitcher?

As for Wonderwall. It actually makes a TON of sense. The song is about salvation through love. Wonderwall was the soundtrack to an unreleases film about the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Essentially it means that worship of the woman you love as some people worship religion

  • Liam openly embraces Lennon's image. It's his tribute to him, in a way. Every rock, pop (...) has its roots somewhere. Doesn't make them any less talented.

  • Uhh... okay. So, because Oasis admitted that they took something from the Beatles or The Kinks, does that mean no one else did??? Have you listened to Badfinger? That's more Beatle than anything Oasis' released.

  • sad to say this but its a caatchy fuckin tune!

  • Therefore, the single is a tongue in cheek poke at oasis and specifically noel gallagher's alleged plagiarism.

  • No Way Sis are a tribute band to Oasis. This video is not a cover of shakermaker, but a cover of "i'd like to teach the world to sing" by the new seekers. It also includes elements of cigarettes and alcohol, which has been alleged to be similar to T-Rex's Bang a gong. Oasis were sued by the original composers of "i'd like to teach the world to sing" because their single shakermaker was judged too similar in verse and melody.

  • shakermaker!!!!! what the f..... is this!!!! omg!! i love oasis !! this is a horrible fake omg!! and oasis say anything? :S

  • Are you retarded? This is the ORIGINAL song that Oasis borrowed to write Shakermaker. This sond was in the charts long before Oasis formed. Please do some research.

  • If you've actually read any interviews from the 90s with Noel, he called them "the second best band in the world."

  • you know nothing

  • Its ok to cover oasis song, but this is ridiculous, if you are gonna write your own songs at least have an own style for godsake! And the worst thing here is that the songs its a totally cheap copy to Shakermaker.

This is song its like a "Frankenstein song", its made off with a lot of oasis songs (cigs & alcohol, shakermaker, columbia, etc)

  • eh oasis rip it off the coke ad , they are sing the ad version,

  • Spot on man.

  • Wait...Nowaysis was on Top of the Pops?!

  • twice

  • THIS IS NICKED OF A CO CA COLA T.V AD

  • hah! ever listened to Shakermaker??

  • does anyone know when they went onto top of the pops?

  • hey, what's the name of the song?

  • I'd like to teach the world to sing

  • wow, the vox is very similar, but.. the "pose" isn't.

    anyway, fantastic band!

  • jajaajjaja nice show

  • no offence to liam coz he will always be the king of rock and roll...but this geeza can actually hold the notes really well...alot like how liam used to be

  • Haha, brilliant!

"You can't beat the real thing"

  • I have this song. It made the top 10.

  • Ok it didnt. No 27. like it say's at the top at the begining of the video.

  • Gerry Mckay, what a legend!! lol nowt wrong wuth bein the 2nd best band in the world eh?

  • I thought this was quite good tbh. =]

  • what the fuck are yous playin at!! theres only one oasis!! No-wankers!!

  • It's a big joke, alright? The Oasis had been sued for coping The Seekers - "I'd like to teach the world to sing", in Shakermaker... Then the Oasis tribute band record this song "in a Oasis version", yes, because the original version is a little hippie... It will be cool if they record Beatles - Octopus Garden, but with arragements of "Whatever"... (sorry for the poor English fellows)

  • It's the coke song!!!

  • its basically shakermaker and cigarettes and alcohol mixed in together. sounds good though.

  • is I'd like to teach the world to sing, the song that inspired (a lot) Noel for Cigarettes & Alcohol

  • Shakermaker, sorry

  • ive never heared bout this nowaysis thing ever! whats the deal??

  • Shit song.EOS.

  • are they still around ?

  • yes

  • thats shocking youd ask that

OASIS are the best band of all time.

NO WAY SIS are about 5th.

  • "Just be yourself, thats whats really cool" Starsky/Stiller

  • How could anyone not like this?

  • mightyliverpool is shit!

  • no this is well shit!

  • liams twin brother!!!!lol

  • however naff being in a cover band is, you gotta admit that as cover bands go these guys are pretty fucking good. Especially the one doing liam

  • Oasis is only ONE.

Be yourself, no more imitations. Its ridiculous

  • oh and they are from scotland not america

  • wow not bad

these mates give oasis a bad name, but its still not bad

i hate oasis cover bands though

  • but to be fair its a pretty good rip off haha!

  • fuckin yankees! my internet is runnin slow just cos of you cunts gettin up at mornin u bastards!

  • all oasis wannabes and cover bands are really really stupid and ridiculous....

  • its like shakermaker, cigs and alcohol and some might say all in one LOOOL

Shows what an impact Oasis have had!! a tribute band on TOTP

  • They still play? What they did?

  • For all those out of the loop -

This is No Way Sis, the Oasis tribute band. The song is I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing by the New Seekers, a cheesy song that was remade into a Coca-Cola ad in 1971. Oasis then supposedly stole the rythym for their song Shakermaker (Noel claims he actually stole it from the Beatles song 'Flying') and Coke threatened to sue. So this song is facetiously a cover of a cover of a cover of a song. Hope that helps.

  • shakermaker included the line ' id like to buy the world a coke' but noel took it off when threatened by legal action

  • ..and this, boys and girls, is why it is so fantastic

  • i knew most of this , i remeber this band , oasis apparanty saw them a few times , rumor has it that now nowaysis are a verve tribute band,

  • whats the fuckin point in lying on the internet you dick

  • Please.. citizens.. Please don't be so fuckin' nervous!!

  • WHAT THE FRIG IS THIS

  • They did the same song on the same show twice? WTF? And its a ripoff of a song that was a ripoff of a song that was a ripoff of a commercial. English people are fucked up. Makes me feel so much less like a mindless american consumer. Limeys will buy anything.

  • This song is not a rip-off, it's a cover. Noel's was the rip-off, this was merely a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Oasis. Maybe being American, the joke kinda flew over your head...

Oh aye, and the band are not English.

  • who fuckin' are they??sorry for my english

  • Can someone tell the lyrics I Can't catch them

  • vocals are marvelous . sweet song

  • Great footage.

  • nice
