My parents had German bombs dropped on their neighborhoods as children, my grandfather fought Germans in WW 1, my uncle fought them again in WW2, and I think I would have done the same, if unlucky enough to be alive at that time. But I'd never blame Germany for the world's bigots. Skinheads/neo nazis are just ignorant, lost sadsacks who want to be told what to think, and in the simplest terms. Such losers live in all times and societies.

@doctorw2 Re: "simply ticked off": sorry, I know its been 6 months since u last posted, but there is an enormous difference between Hohenzollern and Nazi motivations: surely we all know that the flash point for the start of WW1 was an assassination and the then objective of the dominant faction in the Austrian administration to destroy Serbia as a state. Both Czar and Kaiser were in intimate and heartfelt communication seeking to avoid war, whereas Hitler deviously plotting it :-)

That's why I HATE American documentaries. The narrator is always so tacky and unbearable to listen to; plus American 'docos' tend to be like a cheap D-grade action movie, whereas British docos focus on the strategy and politics, and all the good stuff.
