It was a terrible season, but this is because a different studio worked on it. Watch seasons one and two instead, they were great.

I have no idea what you mean by "it doesn't look like Medabots anymore," though. Sure, the art in Spirits is lackluster, but everything and everyone still looks the same.

loved Medabots, but when the next season arrived, you know, after they fight in the giant Metabee, the transformations looked kinda stupid to me, I mean, they look like dogs, and it was useless IMO, and I liked METABEE'S old look way more, the first season was the best for me, also, was it even explained how...ehm, what was his name? the rich guy's medabot, the one with the claw, that yellow one, is it even explained how did he manage to use the Medaforce in season 1?

The third season doesn't show Karin and Koji, the medabots have some sort of a car function, and rokusho and arcbeetle are replaced by stupid new medabots who look almost the same!

Actually the first season is until the championships.

Also, you should better know that medarot began not as an anime series but as a videogame. This season is based in medarot 3, and the first one in medarot 2. And yes, medarot 3, 4 (gbc) and navi (gba) allows you to perform a medachange in certain medarots. Metabee, in this season, is actually based in medarot 3/4's "Psykachis" (whose kabuto medal is named by default "Metabee")...

Rokusho and Arcbeetle aren't "replaced" by them, really. "Replaced" would imply that they're new but similar characters who at least try to serve the same purpose in the show. Roks and Arc-Dash aren't and don't. In fact, S3 has an entirely different story line, and cast of characters to carry it. Those two look like newer model versions of Rokusho and Arcbeetle, but the similarities pretty much end there, IMO. *shrug* I too missed the original characters, but... I came to love the new. :)

Actually yes. Roks is a new model of Rokusho, Arc-Dash of Arcbeetle and the new Metabee is also an upgrade to Metabee. If you have played Medabots Infinity you will notice the new Metabee is supposed to be called Saikachi.

Eh, Sprits realy lacked a lot of what made the first series good.

Ironicaly, Sprits was animated at Production IG and the orgional series was done by Bee Train. Usualy, the scales of quality are the other way around (looking at you, Tsubassa: resivour cronicle)
