@mithuzmadeira I think what he wrote could be a possibly interpretation. In the film they talk sometimes about god. E.g. when Poe says to the diabetic "I'll show you that god exists" and so on. I think you both are right. It's because the girl knew how to reach him in her young innocence, but god could be playing a role in here, too

@shgfe3ay That girl is probably the daughter of the killed dude in the tower at the airfield. So the girl was just playing there alone because she didn't know that her dad was dead at this time. And the reason why Garland was singing with the girl is because he is a cannibal and he wanted the kill her, but he didn't. Maybe he didn't kill her because she treated Green like a normal person. At the end of the movie we see that Garland Green became a normal person ;)

No, he didn't. As the plane leaves, the girl is seen waiving to it as they take off. She appears completely unharmed. My daughter was just born when this came out and when I saw this scene for the first time, it really gave me the creeps!
