This solar heater works OK on the side of a small building and probably saved me 50 gallons of LP. This was my first experiment with solar heaters, but the next project will be larger for the house. Stay tuned...!
Good job! I would try to run a higher CFM fan. Your maximum temps might drop some, but I think you would get more heat into your home over all. I hope your efforts bring you years of savings. I would like to build a solar heater similar to yours but with a very finely corrugated aluminum sheet, then staple down the aluminum sheeting in a pattern that resembles beer can heaters for maximum surface area. I think it would also work well but not as labour intensive as using all the cans.
