  • This solar heater works OK on the side of a small building and probably saved me 50 gallons of LP. This was my first experiment with solar heaters, but the next project will be larger for the house. Stay tuned...!

  • Good job! I would try to run a higher CFM fan. Your maximum temps might drop some, but I think you would get more heat into your home over all. I hope your efforts bring you years of savings. I would like to build a solar heater similar to yours but with a very finely corrugated aluminum sheet, then staple down the aluminum sheeting in a pattern that resembles beer can heaters for maximum surface area. I think it would also work well but not as labour intensive as using all the cans.
