Wow one of youtubes treasures, Gould at a young age. Amazing how the playing is still so crisp clean full of life.He slowed his tempi down with age, but still, wow. Those ornaments. They way he can give 3 voices 3 different articulations. The Corrente, amazing, no one has ever tried to play Bach like this and we all know Bach was a virtuoso. Glenn didn't play Bach like an old lady and it upset people, but the records sold, didn't they? People could feel the life in his recordings, thanks Glenn!

Actually there are dozens of hours of this man on film.People always talking crap without researching.Dummy he had a t.v. show and many of his early young sexy boyhood concerts were film.talk wut ya no bee-bee lizard!!!

A joy and wonderment to both see and hear Gould at this early stage of his life. There are enough audio recordings around, but very little video. This is priceless! He was a genius.

Approx 15 years ago about 15 x 2 hour long laser discs were issued by CBS of Gould playing solo and with others.

"On six occasions in 1956 and 1957, the CBC replaced Folio with the Chrysler Festival, a spectacular one hour variety show broadcast live before an audience of two thousand from the stage of Toronto's Loew's Uptown Theatre. Elaine Grand and Hume Cronyn introduced a wide range of Canadian and international performers."
