I have the Super Sonic and would like to know if you have some close-ups of the motors and installation of the components from that kit that are in this one. I really liked the supersonic because it was RF instead of IR and has much better distance.  I'd really like to try what you have setup but would like to see some more pics for doing it. Thanks!

I think he used RC buggy motor, and just direct drive from the outer port.

@the2eyedcyclops that gear would connect to the differential in the original model, since the diff has been replaced with a motor, it is not needed :P

The sets are old, but If you want to look for them, they're:

SuperSonic 8366

HotFlame 8376

RaceBuggy 8475

Those are the only ones with the Receiver/Battery/AUX 'box' and motors used in this vid

I'd recommend hunting them. Good power, functionality, and great control range.

i have a suggestion for you, i do love the video and what u did with the offroader but u titled it lego 8297 so people r gonna think this is the original you should have titled it something like : lego offroader rc or cool lego 8297 rc mod or sumthin anyway check out my vids i really love this
