I had my daughter at 24 weeks gestation and weighed 1lb 5oz, the doctors had said she looked more like 23 weeks but left it at 24. She had a host of medical issues but is now a very healthy, intelligent, happy, beautiful 4 year old little girl. I wish you all of the best, I cannot imagine going through having two born so early, one was hard enough for me. Always remember God only gives you what you can handle.

My younger sister is facing giving premature birth right now at 23 weeks....this video was so touching and inspiring. I have been doing research all day and this was about the sweetest thing I have come across. I was wondering what health issues they were still facing? I tried to go to your blog but it said "invite only"
This made me cry... so amazing, for sure. I thought that they didn't try to save babies born before 24 wks though? I remember they told me I would for sure be having a preemie after the ultrasound and I was put on bedrest for the rest of the time. Once we got over 24wks I felt so good because I knew now they would have to save my son if he came. Perhaps there are different laws in different places? Or maybe the nurse was trying to scare me? Wow I am so happy to hear that babys can make it that premature I had my son at twenty three weeks and one day he weighed one lb two oz 11 1/2 inches long and the doctors just handed him to me and said they were sorry that there was nothing they could do to spend what time I could with him he lived two and a half hours on his own but I am happy that you didn't have to go through that and they survived they are so cute congrats
Reminds me of the Nicu. One day I'm put together a slide show of my babies. I too was 23 weeks and 5 days. But I had triplets who were 1lb 5.5oz a she is a super star not to many problems in the Nicu: 1lb 4oz b our angel she wasnt to make it out the delivery room she did live 14 days and c who was the biggest 1lb 10oz here we are 4 surgeries late we have our good days and our bad but he's alive. Grade 3 and 4 brain bleed. But he's alive. They are 10months old now.

what an amazing video... through the tears i smiled. i gave birth to twins at 25 weeks+1... my waters broke at 19 weeks and i sat in hospital for 6 weeks trying to ward off infections. our first born survived for 3 days (due to having really sick lungs) and our second born is now 10 months old and home... and happy and healthy. i hope your two miracles are bringing you nothing but happiness and are thriving!
This video gives me so much hope. I just had my son Josiah on 8-6-10, who is a preemie and was born at 25 weeks and 5 days. My water broke 10 days prior to his birth. He is doing remarkably well, and is no longer using oxygen but is breathing on his own. Your twins are a Miracle and so is my son. Blessings to you and your family!!

Gorgeous babies! I'd love to see them now, as toddlers. My oldest was a 33-week preemie, and I can tell you now that at 17, you would never know it. Not a trace of any of the complications mentioned. He is a strong-willed kid though. They told me if he survived infancy then he'd grow up to be a fighter, and he is, in the sense that he doesn't give up easily on anything. I'm so glad these twins made it through those perilous first months:)

Hi... I was just wondering how the babies r doing? i gave birth to my sonat 24 wks n 3 days he was 1lb9oz 12inches long& i ws told that he wld not make it. BUT he got to come home after 4 months in the NICU he came home on oxygen& all kinds of stuff. he is a healthy 7mo old now he is 14lbs and 23inches long :) i havnt met any1 around my area with micro preemie so i dnt really have a idea on what to look forward to? other than a happy bubbly baby :) im glad things r well! ...... good luck
This is beautiful and such an inspiration! I just gave birth to a baby girl two weeks ago and she was born @ 23 weeks and 4 days. She measured at 21 weeks though. She weighed 13 oz. She is beautiful and I am just awaiting the day I can hold her and take her home.

I'm so happy for you that your babies made it , I've had 2 miscarriages ! They were twins ! I Was 2 months pregnant and I had lost the first one and a week later my other came ! I just pray to God that it won't keep happening ! I'm so happy for you !

I was so touched and it brought me to tears of how strong those little ones are. They are so lucky to have a loving parents like you guys. I am actually 22 weeks pregnant right now and turning 23 this Thursday and as I saw how tiny they are I was imagining my baby's gonna look like them too in 23 weeks... they really are a miracle...God bless...

they are both so beautiful!!! thank you for sharing this! i had my son at 25 weeks and 5 days, he is still currently in the NICU because i just had him last month but i know he will pull through just fine! i'm glad you and your family were strong for your babies because at the end of the day after all their treatments and things thats all they need is your love and strength!!!

I am almost 23 weeks now, I cant believe how much I love this baby growing inside me already.. I cried when I saw your babies at 23 weeks, OMG you guys were there strength. Thank you for sharing this, I didnt think it was possible but I love this baby growing inside of me even more now than ever.

That is amazing I had a baby at 23 weeks and he did not make it because they did not have the techonology back then to save them. I am amazed how far they have come and it is awesome to see it. 15 years ago this was not possible they just laied them in your arms to pass away. Thanks for sharing this

what an amazing video... through the tears i smiled. i gave birth to twins at 25 weeks+1... my waters broke at 19 weeks and i sat in hospital for 6 weeks trying to ward off infections. our first born survived for 3 days (due to having really sick lungs) and our second born is now 10 months old and home... and happy and healthy. i hope your two miracles are bringing you nothing but happiness and are thriving!

This video gives me so much hope. I just had my son Josiah on 8-6-10, who is a preemie and was born at 25 weeks and 5 days. My water broke 10 days prior to his birth. He is doing remarkably well, and is no longer using oxygen but is breathing on his own. Your twins are a Miracle and so is my son. Blessings to you and your family!!

Gorgeous babies! I'd love to see them now, as toddlers. My oldest was a 33-week preemie, and I can tell you now that at 17, you would never know it. Not a trace of any of the complications mentioned. He is a strong-willed kid though. They told me if he survived infancy then he'd grow up to be a fighter, and he is, in the sense that he doesn't give up easily on anything. I'm so glad these twins made it through those perilous first months:)

Thank you for sharing that - it is amazing and God's gift. My little girl was born at 29 weeks after my waters went at 26 weeks - scary isn't it but wow they are worth all the tears, heartache and pain. God bless.xx

Hi... I was just wondering how the babies r doing? i gave birth to my sonat 24 wks n 3 days he was 1lb9oz 12inches long& i ws told that he wld not make it. BUT he got to come home after 4 months in the NICU he came home on oxygen& all kinds of stuff. he is a healthy 7mo old now he is 14lbs and 23inches long :) i havnt met any1 around my area with micro preemie so i dnt really have a idea on what to look forward to? other than a happy bubbly baby :) im glad things r well! ...... good luck

This is beautiful and such an inspiration! I just gave birth to a baby girl two weeks ago and she was born @ 23 weeks and 4 days. She measured at 21 weeks though. She weighed 13 oz. She is beautiful and I am just awaiting the day I can hold her and take her home.

My daughter is 20 and my son is 17 years old. I remember my 1st baby's 1st smile: Incredible. To this day I sherish these memories. ENJOY parenthood to the max as it goes by soooooooooo fast. It's amazing how every day in the womb counts. I gave birth to my twin girls at 22 weeks and they only lived about an hour. You're so lucky and they are beautiful!

Wow. Brought tears to my eyes. I almost lost my daughter as well, I was very sick through my pregnancy with her and even though she was full term she only weighed 4lb. She is now a happy and healthy 2 year old. Your video brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful. My favourite picture is at 4:00 min with you holding you 2 babies on your chest. Absolutely gorgeous. First I want to say Congratulations parents!!! Also, your babies are just beautiful!!!! I have 4 kids myself and can't imagine having babies that small.
