Brothers...There will be no war in near future. We have some time so study hard, learn more and show the world that we are the best. These technologies are nothing and its time for a big jump.
Every time military buys high value systems from an indigenous source, the money goes to an Indian company and it's employees, who spend it on food, housing, clothes, cars etc. It has a multiplier effect. So if 2% of GDP is spent on defence and most of it goes to indigenous companies, we are talking about at least 1-2 % of additional GDP growth a year. It will also give Indian private companies general technological expertise.
@parthsna love that analysis :) and its also true to a very large extent but we dont have the infra structure for getting our stuff made up by our companies.and you know our tech guys fly to different countries for more money they dont stay in India.wait..?? am i working in Boeing..!!
Our new air craft carrier is been made in russia. Russians are very sly people. They originally charged 1.6billion and now pushed it to 5-6 billion U$.
@kashsoldier. China spends around 4% of its GDP in military. In 2009 india only spent 2% on military spending. India needs to spend close to 4% of her GDP in military. Pakistan goes begging to USA and China for weapons and money. Thats a different story, pakistan cant afford arms race with india.
India makes weapons and equipments which matter the most. I am talking about strategic weapons like Ballistic missiles, second strike capable nuclear submarines, Long range cruise missiles (work is going on), Hypersonic and supersonic cruise missiles
Not only that, India has a strong industrial base for making conventional weapons, even though the orders are small from the armed forces
India does not have to worry about mass production in an event of war. In the future wars will be fought swiftly and it will be unlike world wars during which manufacturing capability decided the duration of war.
Network centric warfare is the future. Not mass produce junk and abandon them in the desert. Technology would rule future warfares like lasers, stealth, UCAVs etc. Mass production of steel and lead is world war era style.
@chrisdef15 yea but my point was India is light year ahead of Pakistan...and India is getting there, i know they are not a super power yet and that is why we didn't have the second Cold War.
oh wait ...... 3 rd world economy?.i think it india is 2 fastest growing and 11 largest economy?.such crap fact in the video

@nitin1088. India only spends 6% of GDP on infrastrcture. India should spend 9% on infrastructure.

@nishkov
For the five year plan(till 2012) Govt assigned approx $ 411 billion for infrastructure.
The Govt has also pledged $1 trillion to be spent on infrastructure for the coming decade.
Don't know how far i can trust the Govt,but yeah India will be totally changed by 2020.
