@riverstrat They are legal in most states. Boyfriend recently purchased one and it was 600 dollars for cage, food, toy, heat lamp, heat rock, etc. It's a marsupial and it's an omnivore. They live 12-15 years. They do best in 72 to mid 80 degree temperatures. They are from Australia.

the baby is scared move slower and talk lovingly to it and hold them close to your heart and slightly squeeze them. that one is also trying out to see who is the dominate one is if you don't show them you are the dominate loving leader you will forever be following the whims of them. i have four of these guys two are a year old two are 8 months

the loud one reminds me of carl he also continually tried to bite me though, he is such a cuddle bug now but the first three months were hell.

This is great! I have 2 twin sisters and they are the same way. One is super sweet and one is super crazy !!! It's the only way I can tell them apart, as soon as you open the pouch one goes nuts and the other just looks at you with loving eyes :)

Aww cute. My hedgehog I used to have made noise like that one sugar glider once. The issue it turned out was it didn't like Old Spice "Red zone" it would poop and make noise from it. Very smell sensitive.

what i have learned from seeing sugar gliders is they all have different personalities you really can't group them together and this is a perfect example the little girl crabbing is really just doing it cause she loves attention if you notice she is calm as can be when be handled and loved and the other little girl just wants to figure out whats going on she is all about doing her own thing

@xGingaWarriorx Be carefull about feeding your glider moths some have poison in there body from eating poison plants while caterpillars and some butterflies too.Some moths have sharp neetle like barb on legs that could rip a gliders insides up.They go nuts for bugs thats what they do in nature.They also will grab lizards in trees in your yard but even lizards can carry tape worms and mites every now and then but not often.

MsZoologist1-they do make good pet, they are just like any other indoor pets. they usually live for about 12-15 years (same as a dog). they are actually one of the cleanest pet...they are very affectionate and can bond with anyone in your house including your other pets.

@aznxonfire Its actually a very bad idea to have your gliders around any other pets. Even though your cat or dog may seem to like the gilder, they can kill it easily. The dog may just be trying to play with the glider or the cats natural instincts can kick in and then you have a dead glider. Yes, they are clean but they do get smelly sometimes :)

The baby is scared because its still a baby. It takes a couple weeks for them to get used to the person. Its normal, its not bad for it or hurting it. Its just scared mainly because of the scent. Once it learns and gets used to the person's scent, it will be EXTREMELY loving and devoted to that person
