It has little to do with Russia. people rioting showed the opinion of many in Latvia, not just russian-speaking minority. Even though the fact that Harmony Center - a pro-russsia party - decided to join the rally just a day before seems to indicate that their intentions were to give a reason for the russian-speaking radicals to come, it still remains the iniciative of many in Latvia.
