  • I remember, when studying environment science at college, the UK governments scientists denied climate change. As soon as carbon tax was thought up they jumped on climate change.

There was a medieval warm period hotter then now, the past few years have got colder because sun spot activity, usually predictable has not been so. Look at the club of Romes own writings.

  • Please try not voting, be self employed and only earn enough so you don't pay tax.

  • We need a new branch.of government thats goal is to make government snaller, then three more branch to manage that. Or now government bigger now, I know if we make another branch to......

  • I hate circumcision. It destroyed my sensitivity (feeling), normal sexual function, and resulted in a dry keratinized glans and an ugly scar, as well as physical and emotional suffering.

    I HATE CIRCUMCISION.

  • @Chadolution Me too man, I've gotten in arguments with my parents about it.

  • I don't get the argument regarding slaves. Labour saving devices would make your slaves even more effective just like it makes your employees even more effective. Thus making you richer.

  • @BarrySlisk

True, but the slaves are already considered capital equiptment. The new technology, though good in the long run, would severly hurt the resale value of previously purchased slaves.

  • @Equity213

If slaves + devices means more production then the ownership of both is worth more than only the slaves. That's my thinking. Otherwise why give employees computers and machines? Remember you can also sell the machines if you don't need them anymore.

  • no it will not make me glad that my circumcision will ex post facto be illegal... i feel bad for those who received botched operations, but i had a good one, and i quite like it... i don't see why it should be a crime... its not protecting anything but divisions.

  • @MrBluePsych It's protecting the rights of men to their own bodies, as simple as that. You're happy with your result? Good, but many aren't and wish they had been given the right to experience ALL of their body parts.

  • Scientific American (dot com) has an article describing a 2010 African study which points to circumcised men having a lower incidence of HIV than un-circumcised men. Keywords to search: Circumcision, HIV, Microbiome

  • @OregonCoastGhost Have a look at this

Remove the space after the full stop/period.

  • even stef wont listen to the testimony of a gratefully circumcised man.

  • Stefan, if you can't perceive a difference in your current philosophy, and the philosophy you had a year ago, that may be the reason you are losing friends... a year ago, you sounded way more sane

  • I WILL DEFEND MY CIRCUMCISION TO THE BITTER END!!! I hope it makes you angry... :)

  • you could argue that its child abuse, to allow your child to remember a circumcision...

  • @MrBluePsych If it's child abuse to remember it. Isn't it also child abuse to do it in the first place, given that the claimed advantages for it are pure quackery.

An elderly person with a degenerative brain disease might not remember if you are abusive to them. But that doesn't make the abusive treatment all right. Similarly with a baby!

  • i had a lot of respect for you stefan, but this circumcision battle just proves you fall into the same pitfalls as all other libertarians; there should be a law against it? please don't contradict yourself... it doesn't make you look very smart (which is why i "respected" you. you argue against playing into the State's agenda, but then you say there should be a law against circumcision? Logical Fallacy!!! why not promote not having it done, it doesn't rely on the state to decide what you can do

  • Comment removed

  • It's no wonder you're starting to lose friends over your beliefs... maybe this is a midlife psychosis... Is getting on national television going to your head? did you forget why you started Freedomain Radio in the first place? please don't argue against your own philosophy...

  • @MrBluePsych How would you suggest that murder be prevented without a legal system? Persuasion?

Circumcision is being raped with a knife. I think a legal framework is required to prevent such assaults. Unless someone can suggest a viable alternative.

  • @dalriada842 Right to bear arms... Duh... you wanna come into my house and terrorize my family, well... you should die...

  • @MrBluePsych that's like saying we're going to prevent rape by taking away the right to carry a taser... Huh?

  • @dalriada842 how do you prevent rape and murder? Right to bear arms... Duh... you wanna come into my house and terrorize my family? well... you should die... i would not protect the a rapists right to live... fuck that... process of elimination... most people are good, so to speak, so all the evil people, who have guns anyway (bought on the black market) need not have the upper hand. do you know why the Nazi's never invaded Switzerland? Compulsory gun ownership. thats a thought, compulsory guns

  • @MrBluePsych I'm in favour of gun ownership. I hold the person wielding it responsible for how it is used.

As for rapists, what about the increasing number of women using false rape/domestic violence/child abuse allegations as an instrument of abuse against their partners, or other men. It's reached epidemic proportions in some places, although it's not covered by the mainstream media.

I think the reaction to rape is Pavlovian and overblown.

The Nazi's probably wanted a safe have for their loot.

  • @MrBluePsych Most murderers aren't so obliging as to commit their crime where others can observe it and take action. Who would investigate such cases?

  • wow... you said your friend needed a circumcision later in life do to virility issues... is that not a reason to do it? when you talk about giving the state more power, why wouldn't you make it parent's choice instead of impeding the religious freedom of individuals? the appendix comparison wasn't too faulty, although it's more like cutting off an ear lobe, because you don't have to open up somebody's abdomenal cavity to remove their foreskin

  • @MrBluePsych No, it isn't a reason to do it. You can't know who might genuinely need it. Only about 1 in 15000 have a genuine medical need, reducing as medical science advances.

It should be the child's choice with the default being for the natural state. Who's religious freedom? Your talking about the parent's desires here not the child's. They have no religion.

A better comparison would be cutting out the tongue. The foreskin is a highly erogenous zone. It's far more important than an earlobe.

  • @dalriada842 I'm talking about the religious freedom of jews... i was circumcised at 8 days old, and I'm glad i can't remember it. I love my circumcision, i can (and with regularity) give my girlfriend multiple orgasms... that my friend is a wonderful feeling... if it we're a lot more sensitive (as i hear it is with foreskin), you could almost call it premature ejaculation... thats the purpose among jews... sexually pleasing ones wife...

  • @MrBluePsych It's not freedom for the boy it is imposed upon. There are many, including Jewish men, who object to what was done to them. You can't know in advance who will want it.

Most intact men don't suffer from premature ejaculation. In fact both that and erectile dysfunction have been suggested as being more likely as a result of reduced sensory feedback to the brain.

According to Moses Maimonides it was to reduce a man's sexual pleasure during sex to the minimum required to reproduce.

  • @dalriada842 you a Jew?

  • @MrBluePsych No, I'm an atheist with an intact penis.

  • @dalriada842 I blow huge loads... I'll have no problem reproducing... again, you speak about it like it's illegal to be thankful for my circumcision... sorry you think you can infringe upon my thoughts, especially gratitude... eat shit 1984 guy

  • @MrBluePsych I couldn't care less what you think, as long as it doesn't harm someone else. It's similar to my view on gun ownership. This isn't all about you! Or Jews for that matter, who only make up about 1% of circumcised men worldwide.

  • @dalriada842 if it becomes illegal, it affects me...

  • @MrBluePsych It doesn't affect you because you have already had it done. It stops further generations of boys from having their genitals mutilated. You may think your current status is great, but you have no way of knowing if you might have preferred having an intact penis.

It's kind of like the jobs that aren't created in the private sector when the government taxes them to create fake public sector jobs.

  • @dalriada842 You may think your current status is great, but you have no way of knowing if you might have preferred having a circumcised penis. please don't assume that all of its effects are negative... it is more neutral i suppose... it's not like you had one, and resent your parents for it, and are now campaigning against it... you don't know what its like to be circumcised, talk about ignorance... it's not mutilation, i can show examples of mutilation, like penis head bisection etc.

  • @MrBluePsych A sighted person can imagine what it is like to be blind by closing their eyes. A person blind from birth cannot imagine what it is like to see. You are the one who has suffered sensory impairment.

I know how the different parts of my penis feel, including my foreskin. I have everything you have and more. What you have left is less sensitive due to callousing.

You only don't consider it mutilation because you are normalised to it.

  • @dalriada842 you may be right, but i notice no callous on my penis head (and i know callouses, i play guitar), however, the head of my penis IS dryer. I wouldn't be sure you have more than me, especially when it comes to pleasing a woman buddy... despite your claim, you still do not know what it is like to be circumcised, "callous" and all. you have never had sex without your foreskin so don't tell me you know what it's like to be circumcised... saying you know displays your true ignorance

  • @MrBluePsych The dryness is the dead skin cells that form on top of the mucosa. The extra layers mean the nerves are further below the surface. Thus they are desensitised. An intact man would find it uncomfortable to have his glans rubbing against his clothing, because of his greater sensitivity.

  • @dalriada842 I guess by your logic, you shouldn't cut off the umbilical cord...

  • @MrBluePsych Not only has the umbilical cord done its job after the baby is born, but there are no nerves in it to cause the baby pain. The !Kung tribe in the Kalahari do not cut the umbilical cord. It is not essential to do so. Once again you are failing to look beyond the narrow practices of your own society.

The foreskin by contrast has not even fully formed at birth. Let alone been used for its intended purpose.

  • @MrBluePsych

well did you know that girls in the U.S.A. have been protected by law since 1996 from so much as a ceremonial pinprick down there to draw a single drop of blood

  • @GhostOfJayLeno Good... In all seriousness I'm Glad.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrBluePsych

won't you also be glad when boys are protected too??? it will help keep muslims away

  • @GhostOfJayLeno muslim need to learn to be accepting... It is the biggest obstacle, because it encourages ethnocentrism. i can see why they don't respond positively to being degraded, but you can blame it on the emphasis on muslim domination... if only the Qur'an could be re written to reduce the hate. criticizing their culture to death isn't the right way to facilitate the positive turn around everyone expects from them... why no mission trips, and charity programs? Africa gets a lot of them...

  • @MrBluePsych Moses Maimonides also said that women much preferred an intact penis. This fits with surveys of women who have had sex with both intact and circumcised men.

"It is hard for a woman with whom an uncircumcised man has had sexual intercourse to separate from him."

From the "Guide of the Perplexed". You can download the pdf as it was written in the twelfth century, and is no longer in copyright.

  • @dalriada842 Just like "against abortion? then don't get one" there should not be one more fucking useless law that limits your choice, why don't you raise awareness instead, and maybe convince gentile citizens not to have one done to their kid... it's not like they force the parent to give their child a circumcision, circumcision should not be reason for the "STATE" to interfere with your life... just like an abortion, you should have the right to decide... the fetus doesn't get a choice...

  • @MrBluePsych If you haven't guessed from my comments on this video, I am a campaigner on this issue!

I'm opposed to abortion too. I think the human life-cycle should be protected from fertilised egg to the grave. No dividing line because it is considered 'convenient'. I'm a Libertarian who believes in a minimalist state. Not no state at all. I don't think that is workable. A new gang of thugs would quickly fill the power vacuum.

  • @dalriada842 WOW... i guess I'm not allowed to love my circumcision... a Neuro-sergeon did mine, in the basement of my synagogue... very talented with a knife... i would thank him in person if i ever run into him... i am quite satisfied with my penis the way it is, i wouldn't trade it for gross have to clean it with a Q-tip foreskin...

  • @MrBluePsych You might wish to seek some guidance from your Rabbi on your attitude to circumcision. You are not supposed to be so fetishistic about it! Is this why so much of the methodologically flawed junk science that claims 'benefits' from circumcision, originates from Jewish doctors? This and the billions of dollars they make doing it, of course!

You don't use Q-tips. This is just parading your ignorance!

  • @dalriada842 dude you're from the UK, Speak English!!! how am i fetishistic about it? is sexual pleasure in even it's most appropriate forms a fetish? i doubt any single surgeon has made it to the billion dollar mark from doing circumcisions... also, the Maimonides quote you tried to throw at me, Probably has something to do with "the rule of Onah" The rule says, if a man cannot sexually please his wife within the first year of marriage, then by jewish law she can divorce him, thats why its done

  • @MrBluePsych The fetishistic nature here is sexual pleasure associated with a type of amputation.

Circumcision is the most common operation performed in the US. They make a fortune from doing it!

I'm not going to try and quote the text in these limited posts, Google it. He was pointing out that the purpose of circumcision was to reduce pleasure in both the man and woman. This is the same reason the Victorians adopted it. Their sexual prudery is why the US still does to a large degree!

  • @dalriada842 It is possible that Maimonades in his pre-inquisition time period, may have defended it in such a way however, you are not a jewish scholar... furthermore, my girlfriends favorite part of my erect penis is the shape and size of the head. It definitely doesn't detract from her pleasure...

  • @MrBluePsych He was considered one of the finest minds of his age. Respected by Jews, Christians and Muslims.

  • @dalriada842 It's less maintenance for a woman to clean herself... they dont have to dig in there with a Q-tip to prevent a urinary tract infection... I beleive that abortion is the woman's choice (assuming she's not too far in)

Why make it illegal? especially for reason's of religious freedom.. that means i wouldn't have had my beautiful Nero-Sergeon Circumcision, even though i am a JEW... one thing i don't stand for is my right to call myself a Jew, being infringed upon I Love My Circumcision

  • @MrBluePsych This sounds like you are in favour of female circumcision. If there were any merit to male circumcision, then the 'benefits' would most likely also apply to women. Cleaning intact genitals is quick and easy. I take much longer to clean my teeth. Should I have them extracted to save me the time? This is demented reasoning! Why are you trying to fabricate justifications when your real motive is religious?

Call yourself anything you like. Once again, it is not all about you.

  • @dalriada842 I am hardly in favor of female circumcision... that is completely different, its not like they cut the head off your penis... male circumcision, without female circumcision, levels the sexual playing field... and I am very glad i was circumcised... does my gratitude piss you off? If my motives are religious, I'm not trying to impose my beliefs on other people, I just want the right to my religion, which just so happens to be written into the FIRST AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION...

  • @MrBluePsych Most female genital mutilation doesn't remove the clitoris. But even when it does, it is incorrect to compare it to the head of the penis. The nerves in the clitoris that give women sexual pleasure, route to the foreskin in the male. So you have had your functional equivalent of the clitoris removed!

If you want you can worship Cybele, and castrate yourself. As long as you don't try to do it to your son, I don't care.

The 1st amendment doesn't give the right to impose it on others.

  • @dalriada842 i just said i am not imposing it on others, did you read my comments? i want the right to circumcise my son in a jewish ceremony, he'll be grateful for it later in life... I'm definitely not trying to force it upon your child... are you a doctor? cause some of the things you are saying make no sense medically...

  • @MrBluePsych You are trying to impose it on your son. How do you know he'll be grateful? I've seen testimony from Jewish men who objected to what was done to them. What if he grows up and decides he is an atheist? Technically he is still a Jew even if he isn't circumcised as long as his mother is Jewish.

What makes no sense to you medically? I've been campaigning on this issue for some time now. I've read the bogus research that circumcision-addled doctors from the US keep churning out.

  • @dalriada842 oh no!!! you mean parents decide things for their children? heaven forbid

  • @MrBluePsych If it wasn't for Jewish and Muslim lobbying, this vile practice would be illegal. Parents aren't allowed to cut off healthy tissue from their children, with this one obnoxious exception!

  • @dalriada842 why do you get to decide if my son is circumcised?

  • @MrBluePsych "why do you get to decide if my son is circumcised?" For the same reason that I get to decide that no one should kill him, or otherwise cause him harm! Without a compelling medical reason, it is outrageous that anyone, let alone a parent, would contemplate cutting healthy living tissue from their child.

Even though they won't remember it later in life, it's still excruciatingly painful at the time!

  • @dalriada842 that you're convinced circumcision is equal to death or any other form of torture, is extremely farfetched... it's really not grievous at all...

  • @MrBluePsych It certainly causes torture and in some cases death. About 200 boys die a year in the US from it. Many more in other parts of the world with less developed medical facilities.

  • @dalriada842 I'm not advocating the availability of botched circumcision... for example, during a "Briss" wine is fed to the baby through a handkerchief to numb the pain and reduce shock... it's not done without some form of pain killing method in the jewish culture... the purpose is not to torture, that's why there are practices in place that reduce the trauma associated with it... i agree that botched circumcisions are evil, but not the circumcision itself... bad surgeons are EVIL people...

  • @MrBluePsych Wine or sugar water only affect the baby's facial expression, not the degree of pain they feel.

I thought you might like to see this video by a Jewish man on the matter of his circumcision. His mum speaks in another video on the same channel.

    /watch?v=6dOG13C5mrA

You have no guarantee how circumcisions are going to turn out. Your son could be like Jason Paige, or worse!

  • @MrBluePsych It's interesting that you should claim protection of the constitution when you are so anti-government. I'm the Minarchist here, who believes that minimal government is necessary! Also I live in the UK, so the constitution has less impact on me as an argument. Especially since I know how often its provisions have been breached!

  • @dalriada842 because you live in the UK, this is eerily similar to the british occupation of the american colonies... why do you get to decide how legal my religious observance is from halfway around the world? I wish the supreme court had not mutilated the constitution. will you not admit that you don't know what it's like to be circumcised? the only people that have a right to argue against it are those who had it done and wish it hadn't been... who knows, you might prefer a circumcised penis

  • @MrBluePsych Moral issues transcend national boundaries.

Should only those who were slaves in the past have been able to argue against slavery? It's an absurd argument to say I can't argue against such abuse because I never suffered it!

I like the exquisite sensitivity of my foreskin and frenulum. I think I'll pass on the knife! This is why they do it to children. They know most adults would never accept such a loss of sensation.

  • @dalriada842 Um.. Fredrick Douglas was a successful opponent to slavery for that very reason... he was once a slave...

  • @MrBluePsych I'm not going to reply after this.

So what! There were many others who were important in the fight against slavery. If they hadn't spoken up, it would still be a major part of the world today. Instead of being more subterranean and rare. Excluding our bondage to the social elites, that is too subtle for most people to see.

  • @dalriada842 I'm just gonna step back and let the quack make a fool of himself...

  • @dalriada842 also, yes the reasoning you just demonstrated is demented... I never said any of those things, and since it was you who said them, my reasoning seems a little more sound...

  • @MrBluePsych Your arguments are rambling and semi-literate at best. You were suggesting that circumcision was so much better than the cleaning that women have to 'endure'. I was pointing out that it could be interpreted as being pro FGM.

Bodily contact between new-born baby and mother combined with breast feeding are the best ways to prevent UTIs. If an infection occurs antibiotics are available. No knifes required!

Your reasoning is skewed by religious superstition and cultural bias.

  • @dalriada842 Your reasoning is skewed by anger, and a lack of experience with having a circumcised penis...

  • @MrBluePsych Your reply is non-responsive to most of my post.

  • @dalriada842 did i not just say that i don't agree with FGM? wow... I'm starting to think you can't read, or listen to the testimony of a circumcised man unless it fits with your preconceived ideas.

  • @MrBluePsych I was pointing out how your comments could be interpreted. I'm aware of what you wrote.

I think it's time I terminated this 'delightful' conversation. I see more posts in my email inbox from you. I'll reply to them and then call it a day. I have other things to do and we've monopolised this video comment section enough.

  • There are a lot of stupid angry people commenting on this page...

  • Look up 5 Reasons Why Christians Should Not Obtain a State Marriage License. You do NOT need a license for anything. You are paying King George III his tax fees for everything from getting married to driving your car. There is NO FREEDOM in America./ As for circumcision, just remember to keep the little fella clean if you have not been./

  • Anyone interested the climate change debate should look into the work of Peter Taylor a hugely experienced analyst and enviromentalist. His lecture Climate Change an Alternative View is excellent.

  • to disrupt the natural order and the natural law is to destroy ourselves. if we can not defend our land base, we're not worth it. go ask every indigenous culture that has ever walked the earth, we call them savages and we think we're civilized cuz we eat food out of boxes and have ID cards. crash the slaveship! ahoy mateey!

  • We reflect the world we grow up in - not just the web of relationships and encounters, but also our bio-chemical surroundings. A damaged environment is bound to affect one’s development and health. It is just one of the reasons why non-agression has to be extended to all living things.

Of course believers in an unregulated Free Market Economy prefer to continue on, without the slightest sense of environmental responsibility…

  • Whats with the Star of David on your bandana Stephan ? Just Curious. It really sticks out @ 14:09 on a full screen.

  • And remember this in the days of circumcisions beginnings, there was no knowlege of microscopic animals and plants that were introduced by cutting of the body and thus so infected. The practice caused millions of deaths from blood born desease in those days. The only reason it does not cause desease today is the surgical field the proceedure is done in. It is a perverted religious cult practice

  • Gotta say that using scientists' past predictions and beliefs about climate change is a total non starter. It's like saying that the theory of evolution now is incorrect or less believable because for awhile people believed this guy Lamarck. The argument is in the evidence, as it always should be. I think the "scientists predicted an ice age only a generation ago" argument is one of the hurdles we need to get over if we want honest and serious debate.

  • I am cut and have no problems. I do not emotionally miss my retractable skin nor feel somehow repressed or feel like I am missing out on some "sensation". My penis does look better in my opinion (and my partners opinion) and I've had a great sex life. I support whatever the parents decide. To conflate that foreskin is an arm or leg is f#cking laughable!!! If your issue is consent then that is debatable.

  • @TheBigHo111 I'm also circumcised. Ditto about my penis, sex life, ....

However, how do I know what the alternative would have been? I don't.

When my son was born, he was not circumcised. Why? Even though Stefan makes a valid point today, my son was born 25 years ago. For me it was simple, I wasn't going to take a knife to a baby. Especially since it could always be done later in life, when he was old enough to make his own decision ( he did ).

  • @TheBigHo111 But can you understand that some people (namely me) are very upset that they were circumcised and I wish with all of my being that it had not been done to me? I'm happy you like your circumcision. You could totally have had it done to yourself, just like you can get a piercing or a tattoo, when you were old enough to make a rational decision about it, but would you kindly extend the same choice to me? What would you think of a parent that had a big tattoo put on their baby?

  • @TheBigHo111 You don't miss what you never knew. Especially if you live in a culture that provides positive reinforcement for this practice. People tend to like what they are familiar with in their culture, although there are always going to be exceptions. You may have a great sex life. But that doesn't mean it couldn't have been better with more erogenous tissue. Would you support the parents if they wished to sacrifice their child to an Aztec God or deny a life saving blood transfusion?

  • @TheBigHo111 The glans clitoris of a woman is a homologue of the glans penis(head), in the sense that they originate from the same tissue. However, in sensory terms, the glans clitoris plus the female prepuce(clitoral hood and labia minora) are functionally equivalent to the male prepuce(foreskin). The nerves route differently in men and women. Men and women denied their full genitalia can usually still enjoy sex, but in a diminished capacity.

  • Here is a scientific fact: global warming and cooling have been going on for decades--no centuries-no millenia. There are 4 known ice ages--which means that there must have been warming to melt the ice. So the million dollar question is--if warming and cooling are a natural phenomenon, how does warming now become the result of human intereraction which requires the displacement of billions of taxpayer dollars? The fact is that human interaction in climate change CANNOT BE PROVEN

  • stefan, while i agree with most of the things you say, i do believe that it is not govt policy we should be focusing on right now, its the character of human beings, because its easy to blame hitler for the holocaust but its a lot harder to look deeper and realize that ordinary people were turned hateful and murderous.

  • cars and oil are obesolete techology hybrid are not the anwser to are problems the key is transporter techonology like on startrek I know I sound crazy but I think its possible we can develop tranporters. there clean safe and would fix alot of the worlds problems there the key to are future transporters.

  • @burntvalve86 Even if such technology could be made to work, the energy requirements would be astronomical. Doing it with a sub-atomic particle is one thing, doing it with a living human is quite another!

  • i have a question, is language an impediment to understanding emotions? I guess I'm thinking of things like poetry and songwriting that attempt to connect the viewers to the feelings and perspective of the artist. It seems like no matter what, there's always something of a disconnect that can't be overcome by language. (maybe it's bridged with music). I don't know, do you get what I mean?

  • objective morality....

Can not be formed from within a constructed of soceity.

Collectively subective morality ~ State Law

Other than that I'd say a generalised hybrid all religions and statism is ur best bet. lol

  • The problem with your understanding of climate change is that you've read a lot of media article. For some reason the media spills a lot of bullshit on the topic of climate change and seems very inconsistent. If you read and take time to understand the actual science you will see no such inconsistencies. Don't refer to the media about scientific topics.

  • People who want to escape the state are probably Al Qaeda.

  • Food is energy. What energy do you give your body?

  • So good!

  • sometimes you're in a situation where you rely on people who support the state and it can take years to fully free yourself of those people.

I need my parents and government support while I attend university

  • @stefbot How will ur solutions work if u keep on cutting off people from ur life who think differently? What does this achieve?

  • @liwymi He only cuts off people who want to use violence to solve problems. He cuts them off because there's no point trying to reason with someone who will just punch you in the face when they don't agree with you.

  • @karthadastim thanks for the reply but I was actually asking for stefan's opinion.

  • Hmm.. actually, I donated $80 in a hope for hearing a Stephan's explanation. I have one of mine, proven, but I'm very interested if our conclusions will be the same. The conclusion is, [of course] that Satan or Ring of Power (superpower in biotic or abiotic form) exists. Otherwise, then anarchy would be here for a whole history. See, how idiotic libertarians are? :)

  • bitcoin address! Where is it?

  • @egokick

Its in the description of this video: v=ygoqDBfjimM

  • Btw, what is the argument against free rider (because government is the biggest free rider)? (And I have not donated.)

  • Like+, as usual.

  • what they call circumcision is pedophilia .... all cultures that do that are in a constant state of war-disease-famine & death ......

  • you can marry without legal documents .... common law

  • This is my first time watching one of your videos. I found it VERY interesting, and I appreciated your perspectives on each of the different issues.

I tend to have a bit stronger views about climate change; while I agree with you that we can't know for sure, except that many predictions in the past have been wrong, we can be certain that we're not helping, and the damage we're causing the planet is VERY real.

I also appreciated you speaking out against circumcision -- A VERY important message.

  • Stefan, I would recommend that you do some reading into what scientists have to say about climate change today, rather than 10, 20, 30 or 40 years ago. Essentially, you're admitting to being intellectually lazy. Also, a few select statements about potential catastrophic effects of climate change doesn't really say much about the actual science behind it (as in, why the predictions were wrong).

  • Hello Stef, As always, great video. Your ideas and your ability to express them are impressive. But some of what you said is not entirely clear to me. Are you saying that pacivism is always good and violence is always bad? Are you saying that pounding signs and participating in political battles is a waste of time? Are you saying that in a political battle over competing values, the people who surrender are wiser than the people who fight? An elected leader is no better than a tyrant?

  • All of my old relationships are shot :/

    parents, friends

But my wife is still here, and my kids. Fuck all them other motherfuckers.

  • @gradiu3rox I am dealing with this right now. Skip them! Its time to get ready for the revival!

  • @SuperPhdiva lol. I don't like that word but yeah. I think, I don't know what the future holds but, I think that once the dollar falls all of those idiots will have to either become more violent, starve, or start to think. It's probably best we break ties just in case they go with the first. We can't hope to have a satisfying relationship with them until they choose number 3 anyhow. I think most of them want number 2 so they can meet jesus. We shouldn't waste our precious time on them.

  • @gradiu3rox They will find out soon enough. Its happening quite quickly. I like the word simply because of its actual meaning not the imposed one.

  • Well said on circumcision it it pure child abuse and if done badly leaves the man disfigured should be banned

  • Thank you for putting some many of your books up for free download.

  • Stef, thank you very much for answering my question about circumcision in this video. I'm still a little unsure how I feel about it. Foreskin does have some nerve endings specific to it in the penis, but I've heard that sexual complications with foreskin can also reduce sexual gratification and be very painful. Still contemplating. Thanks again.

  • @roysensei I don't think you're quite connecting with what Stef is saying...maybe this example will make it more clear - "You know if you cut off a baby's lips it will make sure that they can't get any herpes blisters on them later in life." Does that sound like a reasonable thing to do? The foreskin is just as important for proper sexual functioning as lips are for speaking correctly.... Just like you don't cut out a babies tongue to prevent them from getting tongue cancer..

  • @roysensei

Whatever benefits there might be the decision to remove a healthy part of someones body should never be made by another person and certainly not when they are a helpless baby. If you decide that circumcision is a good idea then persuade your son of that when he is old enough to make the decision.

  • @roysensei If you are referring to a non-retractable foreskin. This is usually caused by Phimosis. The following is only applicable to adults. You shouldn't attempt to retract a child's foreskin. Doing so can cause damage!

It is best treated with gentle stretching exercises combined with the use of a topical corticosteroid cream. If that doesn't work after a reasonable period of time ie 6 months, an operation called a preputioplasty is available that conserves the foreskin.

  • I personally like the idea of being married without a certificate. I mean, why have a paper telling me who i want to spend my life well.

  • When Stephan says that if a determinist practiced what he preached he would never bother arguing about free will; would a determinist not just reply that it is what he was determined to do?

He cant help but try to convince you because he has no free will, and you cant help but not be convinced.

I dont see how that argument disproves determinism.

Sorry for rehashing this old debate, but I agreed with everything else in the video and have no other comment.

  • Circumcision is a old cure from the Middle East around the time of the prophets. In those days sand could get stuck in your penis and get infected to prevent that they would cut some of the skin. The prophets just wrote it in their holy books because that was the right thing to do at that time. Now I see it as Child Abuse. Please reconsider flaming me about my English because it's not my native language.

  • @Oitheworld1 The sand in the foreskin argument is just mythology I'm afraid. Why didn't they also cut off their eyelids? Circumcision dates back to pre-history. It's true origins are lost in the mists of time. It pre-dates the Jewish religion by thousands of years.

My guess is that it was intended to brutalise and de-sensitise men, in order to make them more effective killbots(Stefan's term)!

  • You can regrow foreskin btw.

  • @PaperSoapy You can't replace most of the lost functions of the foreskin, particularly the lost nerve endings. Foreskin restoration makes you look as if you are intact and allows the glans penis to become more sensitive. But it's no substitute for the real thing. Medical science is still a long way from being able to properly fix things. Despite what some say on the internet about miraculous new treatments!

  • @dalriada842 Sorry, I didn't mean to make someone it was the same as never being circumcised. You are absolutely correct, of course. It may not be the same, but it is better than nothing, I feel. Anyhow, thanks for expanding on what I said, I don't want anyone to be mislead.

  • Well said! Thank you for speaking frankly about circumcision, a severe and popular form of child sexual abuse. Time for this abuse (sexual surgery without consent) to end.

  • Holy crap, that stuff about morality being the last thing that becomes objective is one hell of an insight.

  • I dotn understand the hate towards circumsicion but I do agree arbitary imposition thereof is poor judgement. I been circumsized at 13 for medical reasons and feel much better for it.

  • @wistfane Yes, but you are coming at it from the perspective of someone with a medical problem. Had you been completely healthy and still had it done. You would probably be regretting the loss of sensation, as others have done in that position. Legitimate medical problems that justify circumcision are fairly rare. The doctors in some countries are 'circumcision happy'!

  • @stefbot as for arctic ice.. there's a difference between 'area' and 'volume' watch?v=UGVgrRAyQmw

if you've got some time watch the rest of greenman3610 's vids. He does a brilliant job of untangling the on-line mis-info war on climatology.

watch?v=XB3S0fnOr0M is relevant to what you said too.

otherwise... keep up the good work :-)

    btw I'm in my 50s

  • I likey your solutions!!!!

  • I remember being circumcised as (a little older) baby... :( I agree with his point of view about it. Can you believe they don't (or at least didn't) use anesthetic?! Add vaccines to that and... well, it took me a long time to figure out why I had health, emotional and sexual issues.

I am, however, doing well now. Living quite free in fact! :D

  • @blapgat Just to clarify, your mom apologized when you were 18, not your mom had you circumcised when you were 18, right?

  • thank U 4 ur moon/daughter story. It was a beautiful and enlightining way to begin the discussion on the preciseness of language.

  • Why aren't I allowed to make arguments if I'm a determinist?

  • @npeffer You can make arguments and you can keep preaching but under the determinist view it would be as relevant to argue with a rock as it would to argue with a human being. Anyone who would argue with you past this point would be arguing with a man who is just as insane as a man who argues with a rock.

  • @slaughtz But what if the determinist arguing with people, is a necessary part of the deterministic playing out of the 'universe's destiny'? Isn't choice an illusion in a deterministic universe?

  • So you're saying because predictions about the climate change, the whole concept of anthropogenic global warming is a hoax? That's the same line creationists use against evolution and it's blatantly anti-science; science is constantly changing.

Of course long term predictions of what will happen to the global climate are going to be inaccurate. Do you expect perfection? This does nothing to take away from the body of evidence we have for what is happening and has already happened.

  • @npeffer You acting as though we are bitching and moaning about the predictions being off by a degree or two, did you know that in the 70s the big clamte prediction was "global cooling"? We were going to have an ice age!(they said)

When you consider what politicians are trying to get done under the pretext of global warming you should be able to see that its all, or mostly, a lie in an attempt to grab more power and money, while regulating business in favour of politically conected corporations

  • The fun part about golbal warming is that even if it happens plants have the ability to clean the atmophere and would increase food production. Yet it can be disproven i believe in gobal warming as much as i believe in the goverment as a good instution ( never in anyones mind) thanks

  • Because your 'solutions' aren't solutions. And your argument that just because political action hasn't worked in the past, and so it can't possibly work in the future, is a ridiculous argument. If people used that line of thinking in the past we wouldn't have ever put a man on the moon or created airplanes to fly. That is simply a ridiculous and imo, dishonest argument.

  • @DeathMetalPatriot

Putting men on the moon and creating airplanes was a continuation of something that works very well. Science.

  • @FlailingJunk There were many failed attempts at human flight, before success.

  • @DeathMetalPatriot An excellent point.

  • I always tell my mom "thanks for not having me circumcised!" on my birthday

  • LOL, I love how he owned that climate change dude.

  • Google:

A complete list of things caused by global warming

(it's a blue background page with (unsurprisingly) of list of things allegedly caused by global warming .... with links to sources)
