I was listening to this for the 1,000th time and yeah realized today it was their last show ever. Michael even hinted that it was their last show for, uh, a long time.

I think the fact they threw in I Believe was a great thing, then followed by a terrific Country Feedback made it even better.

Ending their last concert ever with It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) would have been too predictable, so they chose to end it with a pretty significant verse. "Nothing is cool". Yes. Nothing is cool without REM. So sad they've split and quit the bussiness, they will be missed =(

Great show and REM are brilliant as always, but i'm not overly keen on the excessive cut shots and arty graphics. It would be nice if we could actually see the band when they are singing, rather than the 12 frames that are floating across the screen.

But they've played a huge variety of songs on this tour, so I still don't see the problem. Some of the people paying £45 for a ticket might want to hear Losing My Religion! If you simply don't like them anymore that's your prerogative of course, but they're far less lazy than many other bands living off their hits.

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better band that's been around 25+ years and still relevant. Certainly not the Stones or Aerosmith. At least they're not rehashing greatest hits albums like most bands their age.

I wouldn't go as far to say REM=shit, but I will say that they have declined in terms of the # of good songs per album, and in terms of concert quality compared to the concerts of Tourfilm. Michael does more screaming and off-key raspy-voiced vocals rather than the actual singing from before. They've also become the Democratic Party Band, rather than focusing on art music. But, I still listen to their older stuff (and some newer stuff) on earphones at night- it's still amazing.
