@makedonia9 yeah you have it all wrong. spend all that money on the decks and other stuff and completely skimp on the mixer, not the best idea. Believe it or not pioneer is not the answer to everything. Do some nice research.
I agree with Ingasno8. If you're on a budget, there are really good companies that make great mixers for that purpose. Pioneer doesn't make a budget anything. So if you wanna save on a mixer, you're better off getting a nice second hand mixer or checking out some others.
questin...i have been researching some stuff...and i was wondering why buy that pioneer turntable, when you can buy behringer DJX 700, they look exactly the same, so do they have any different functions ? i was thinking about this because behringer's turntable is cheaper :) please reply
yeah look at the mixer at the middle...i know the difference between a player and a mixer...and i meant that the Behringer djx700 and the Pioneer DJM-800 are very similar...almost the same...so why put alot of money in a pioneer when you could have behringer and have the same things ?
@kosec321 hi mate. i've got a behringer. they're quite good for basic mixing of tracks, but the bmp counter is shite. you'd be better off counting the beats and looking at your watch. secondly, the effects aren't all that clever. with a pioneer, you can hear the changes with each effect, and can programme them to last so many beats. the behringer effects all sound like variants of an echo to me. hope that helps.
The djx 700 is not a turntable...behringer djx 700 is a mixer, which is the hardware between the players you see in this video. (the black one, the djm-400). Also, the pioneer is not a turntable it is a cd player. And concerning the prices, the difference in price tells you the difference in quality. Pioneer always make quality stuff that is why they are expensive but i think they are worth every penny. I would recommend pioneer if you want to buy a dj set.
Great vids dude, i have a set of 800s too, how do i get a cd album to play all the way through without it auto cuing and stoping after every track ?? BAFFED
Technology allows so many different angles to be creative with your mixing. 2 the turntable die hards.........I feel u a bit but dem tables r 30lbs each as opposed to a lighter load with a lil more available creativity.
hey wuts up man i got a ? where cann i get a cdj-800mk2 fo like a low price?? not like cheap either bu not soo high u know....like do u know a website i can go to?? please write back thanks
these are great tables. i have 2 brand new ones i got from the local dj shop in town.. should be here monday. whatever u do tho just dont buy those crappy technics sl-dz1200s
I liek it I actually loveit good tip I will be making a video as soon as I get a mixer it's been forever since I have been on here hoe to talk to you soon
your opinion is useless... it doesn't even relate to the trick. just because ellaskins had an idea he wished to share, doesn't mean that all tunes require 'inane effects' now days. in any case, i doubt the song he was playing was anything recent - fucking dolt.
hehe lol. yea i was playing with some effects too on my mixer. might make a vid about it. :D perhapsi can do something similar... tho as u know with the djm400 those same buttons wouldn't be as friendly to being pressed that way - they're not as smooth
thanks!! its right!!!! :-D

is the cdj 800 mk2 good to start of with? because im getting my first set! and it comes with these
2x CDJ800 MK2's + DJM300 Mixer + Korg Kaoss Pad 2
could someone tell me if its good to start of with? thank you
makedonia9 1 year ago
@makedonia9 The Decks are good to start out with, but this mixer is total crap.
For 150$ you should instead get just a "Numark M6 USB" that you can hook up with your computer.
The kaoss pad is all right, but I would rather save a couple of bucks to get an EFX 500 from pioneer IMO.
THEN post a video of your gear when you've got it :)
(and let me know)
