they do get ti from fans who arent mindless label lovers, they stay smaller because they dont want every jock or idiot to listen to them who dont understand music or are asshole type people. They made it themselves just available enough so people who like good music can find them but far enough from the mass media so they dont become "the next big thing" (if that is even possible who knows). Its not elitist its just keeping themselves from being whored.
