  • 2:38 Doesn't even stop at the stop sign. I appreciate you that you are ridding to work, saving gas, and being healthy. Drivers should be more considerate when there is nowhere else for you to ride than on the rode, and they should think twice when passing. I hope soon there will be more laws put in place to help bikers out, but until then, I wish you safety and the best of luck.

  • Not riding your bike to work could cost you your life.

  • Hes a crazy idea get the fuck off the road

  • @darthuhlenhopp - HERES a crazy idea. Stop the cycle of inbreeding in your family and learn how to speak english properly!

  • heh. i share your pain

  • You're a lunatic to keep doing this. Get off the road if you value your life. I'd also like to see you put a brick through their windows !! Maybe they'd think twice about being pricks.

  • It never ceases to amaze me, how many motorists are so arrogant,

Even to the point of risking a head-on collision just to pass a cyclist.

That semi-truck driver should have their license pulled. Total BS.

  • @DystopianEmpire01 if you dont risk anything you are not living life, ok you can lock yourself up in a closet, so that nothing will murder you, but whats then the point of living?

  • There are some pretty bad drivers out there, but one thing: Should vehicles not pass you on the left and buck over to the other lane to accommodate you? I ride my bike in Atlanta and people pass me all the time and leave me a nice berth and I appreciate it, to be honest.

Wish there were more bike paths, though.

  • I love how the all the cars break after speeding up to what must be well above 30 mph. Where are you riding? It's pretty.

  • Great video my friend. I commute to work via bike much of the time. Seems like you have a really nice road bike, I still ride a mountain bike because I'm afraid of getting flats. I feel your pain, this kind of shit happens to me all the time.

  • you need the airzound.

  • I hope you get hit by a car and lose both legs, maybe then less assholes like you will get in my way on the road.

  • @Mookie4721 Dude that's not cool at all, you need to get out of that fatmans lazy vehicle and ride to where you need to go, and get in better shape. Plus being the jerk that you are, I pray that gas prices soar to $20 per-gallon.

  • @Mookie4721 I hope you don't get herpes from all the fat dick that you suck.

  • i do this kinda route at 1pm & 3am daily sans bike lane, & i learned

zip tie 2 handlebars together & cary them on your back as "spares"

    picture it! ,,,

  • I'm considering getting a cam as on my commute home from Manchester to Salford is a fuck1ng nightmare. Traffic generally doesn't give a shit where I am, even when I'm in the cycle lane...

  • The only road rage I have is every time some asshole saids "USE THE SIDEWALK" when they pass me. These dumb asses have no idea what the laws are in Illinois especially Chicago which is a heavy bicycle city with bike lanes up the ass in most places. The places that don't have them are the problem. Fucking people don't know that bike riders can get fined for riding on the sidewalk not to mention the damage that can be caused by hitting a walker at 30 mph plus.

  • @traingp7 I don't think there should be a law where they can ride. I'd much rather see a pedestrian hit by a bicycle than a bicycle hit by a car. I'll be the first to admit that I can get a bit impatient in my car when I get stuck behind a bicycle, but I know the bicycle is just obeying the laws, and I'm not going to endanger anyone's life to get around them.

  • You're braver than I am on those backroads. I'd get creamed by people who can't stay in their own lane when they take those turns.

I'm likely to take to the sidewalk at times, in my experience there are parts of town that are more than just treacherous on two wheels. Honestly, if I yield to pedestrians then I don't see the big deal. Course here at school you're not even supposed to walk your bike on the sidewalk.

  • In Seattle they wouldn't be bad drivers, they'd just be typical drivers... But driving has nothing to do with it, they behave just as rudely and thoughtlessly whether they're behind the wheel, walking, biking, shopping, swimming or standing in line at the checkout... It all boils down to the fact that they are clueless and inconsiderate.

A local news show recently found that 2/3rds of drivers could not pass the standard written driving test, and it's likely that proportion holds across the US.

  • Thank you for sharing this video. I've been a full time bicycle commuter for almost 20 years and have seen some really scary stuff. I've had things thrown at me, vehicles try to make right turns through me, and even had a school bus loaded with kids try to brush me off the road while the kids screamed: "Ride on the sidewalk!" I am non-confrontational and try to be as courtious as possible to all vehicles, but some gasholes are just threatened my us.

  • drivers treat cyclists and horse riders the same; some moron knocked his wing mirror off 'cause he hit my leg so hard when he was driving past my horse and me! the jackass then got out of his car and screamed blue murder at me for the damage done to his car when quite frankly he shouldn't have been driving so damn close (enough to hit me!) in the first place! I took his plates and reported him for it.

  • Oh look, a cunt in a gass guzzler, who'd have thought it?

  • I noticed your riding on some pretty dangerous roads. I know the speed limit isn't too high but there are plenty of blind curves and not much of a side of the road to ride on. My step father always honked at cyclists and it would make me angry that he would do that but sometimes it's just inconvenience to drivers. I myself will wait behind a cyclist till it's safe to pass.

  • i have this a lot, i guess ive gotten used to it... but it is a problem nonetheless...

  • What kind of camera do you have on your helmet?

  • 3:56, that truck scared the shit out of me and I am sitting safely at home!!!

  • If that trucker had the 'cyclist' as a H O R S E there, he would have certainly given the horse a wider birth.

  • Think about how much gas your wasting

All those people waiting behind you then they have to gas it to get passed you

  • @TheBbergner86 - Ity never ceases to amaze me how incredibly stupid some members of our society have become! You are clearly a perfect example of someone who is need of a third grade level education. Is it inbreeding? Too much lead in the water? Fox News?

  • "If you love $4 a gallon gas, just keep scaring cyclists off the road" - classic!

  • This video just made me really mad.

  • Always truck drivers is stiupid......,Nakczęściej kierowcy tirów to debile....

  • @biker889 He only had problems with 2 trucks, but he had problems with multiple cars, so it looks like cars are stupider then trucks

  • Looks like my ride. If it wasnt for the hills I would swear that was Texas

  • thank god i dont live in the states if this is the way cyclists get treated. Its not like this in europe. Having said that you do produce some of the best riders???

  • Your too far too the the right you to take more of the lane and they will use more space to pass you. it really works

  • @teenguy9753 This is true. Stay out from the white line about 3 feet and you all will be surprised to see drivers give you more room than you could ask for.

  • it takes VALOR to ride on crowded streets. ive done so, on my mountain bike, 70 miles on the California PCH . pacific coast highway. although that is like THE road to ride on in SoCal for Roadies... i stick mostly to the mountains. I've gotten a plastic bottle thrown at me by Santa Paula.. I was madder than I've ever been >:{

  • I live in Murfreesboro, TN and they are making our roads more biker friendly by adding bike lanes.

  • I got hit by a car 2 weeks ago, and the worst part was that it was one block from my house, some stupid driver hit me, he just took the car in front of me. He only said sorry didn't see you. luckily for me I only got a big bruise on my leg. Really hate how things work for bike riders

  • Just take the lane man. It's much safer. Fuck 'em.

  • i can understand the semi issue

but some of those people r just STUPID!

  • I started bike-commuting to work a week ago, my job is 30miles round trip and it's pretty ok. I live in FL so I definitely sweat like crazy (I find myself drinking over 2 liters of water each way). I have had a couple of incident already, Idiot people yelling stupid stuff and grazing my handlebars....

  • Keep up the good fight!

I am so happy my parents did the fight for me. Everyday I see thousands of cyclists with cheeky grins as they pass by the cars stuck in traffic. On separated bike lanes.

It is harder today though, because of stuff like bike helmets (advertising especially), making cycling seem highly dangerous (and earning a buck).

If "Fear" is the first thought in peoples mind when they think of cycling, you will never be enough for actual political power. Better roads etc.

  • you have a heart of a saint, i just lose my temper, shocking...

  • I moved in close to work and shopping so I could walk. Hey, it costs a lot less AND it's healthy. I'll tell you, though, drivers just don't have any courtesy for walkers. At the intersection there are three white lines. The first is the stop line and the other two are the crosswalk. As a pedestrian, I get the crosswalk..supposedly. Most drivers just pull right over it. Must be confusing for them. All those white lines..:)

  • @1:16 was particularly bad - he nearly crashed into oncoming traffic just because he HAD to get in front of you. BTW, for the angry "get out of my way" drivers here, try commuting to work casually on a bike for a few weeks, taking it easy without rushing (you know when you're rushing because it makes you sweat!)

After 6 years of commute-cycling, when I'm driving now it's NO PROBLEM to sit behind a cyclist until it's really clear to overtake (without endangering or scaring them).

    Relax guys!

  • @batlin - Thank you so much! I am so grateful to the 90 percent of drivers who still act like mature adults and just cruise by without incident.

  • @batlin I drive on 2 wheels, with a CBR-600RR. Now get the fuck out of the way and we can get along.

  • @tommysch Given your apparent lack of intelligence it is inevitable you will soon wrap your rice burner around a phone pole.

  • @tommysch your a idiot -all is said in your coment

  • @tommysch I have ridden (not 'driven'...) many powered two wheelers up to similar size to a CBR600 and I had no problem getting past a cyclist without inconveniencing or endangering them or myself, sounds like you need some rider training, or do you even have a bike in fact???

socomcorky take comfort from the fact that the health benefits outweigh the risk several times over.

  • I like when Harley rider fags pass me on my bike. They ALWAYS rev their engine when they go pass me... Then I laugh at their incredibly large guts and their future cardiac arrest..... Works fine for me.

  • Seriously dude, I'm gonna give you the best advice you've ever had. Throw the bicycle away and buy a car. You only ride because you enjoy the self-righteousness, and it WILL get you killed one day. Dude, it's not worth it.

    Oh, and learn to spell.

  • @jbrisby - Dude, you have a bunch of teeny-bop Avril Lavigne videos on your youtube channel. Unless you are 13, that is pretty creepy.

  • @socomcorky Hahahah! I must admit Avril is pretty hot though.

  • @jbrisby Has to be one of the most ignorant comments I have ever seen,

  • @jbrisby Serously dude, I'm going to give you the best advice anybody could possibly give and that is to stop telling people how to live their lives. Some people just enjoy riding better than driving a car.

  • Damn dude where do you live?

We have some pricks here but you must live around some asshole hill billies!

  • @zoticus1 - They are major inbreds!

  • fair enoug when you are in you cycle line, or if there is none you are on the road but in this vid i see you ridin on the road where there is 3 ft wide bit a strip beside it, which you could use and wouldnt be on the road

there are drivers who could take more care abot cyclers but there are cyclers who do ryde on road whiles there is space for them beside it without considering how much they are in the way

  • @deemoIII - If you learned how to spell I might be able to understand your comment.

  • I hate saying it because I know how much drivers hate it... but you gotta take more lane on those skinny roads. They can't feel like they can squeeze by you... don't let them think they can. Make them wait an eternal minute or two to pass when it's obviously clear. For your own safety.

  • @daregreatly - I have been riding for 25 years and you used to be able to "take the lane" and even signal a left turn and sometimes they might slow down a bit and let you get over (like the law requires. Not anymore. I dont know why but people just act fucking nuts these days. In addition nobody from the police department can be bothered with enforcing basic traffic laws (except of course Driving While Black or Driving While Latino).

  • @daregreatly - If you try to assert your right to use the road they get ultra crazy aggressive. They would just run over you, keep on going, and the only inconvenience they would suffer would be cleaning your blood and brains off the grill of their pickup truck.

  • Those are flat out dangerous roads for a biking.

  • @DanieljDixon - The roads are fine. The drivers are dangerous.

  • I feel for you. Where I commute, we're spoiled with bike lanes and trails. I rarely have to take the lane. Stay safe.

  • american education system at work

  • One last comment on the video from me...

That semi that passed around 4 mins looked terrifying. I seriously don't blame you for pulling onto the verge there. That's one of the worst bits of driving I've seen from a bike in a long time - and I've seen some howlers.

Approaching a summit, oncoming traffic, near pass and cutting in as he goes. Absolutely terrible.

Glad you got out OK - that could have ended up MUCH worse.

  • While there's some terrible driving, a few of the overtakes seem perfect to me. There's a white pickup at one point, and a black SUV at 3:15ish that both give you the whole lane - I'm not sure what the problem was, though I'll bow to the wider field of vision you had than the camera give us. Maybe they came close while pulling out to pass.

Some of them made me shake my head though. Hooks, cuts, close passes, the works! All very familiar sights!

  • Before the car came the bicycle. Any road that pre-dates cars was travelled by bicycle long before the cars took over and acted like they were there first.

Following the rules of the road as they should, the car drivers would wait for a safe opportunity to pass... not swerve into oncoming traffic or stop short... exactly like they would if they passed another slow vehicle, like a tractor for example.

  • i just take the entire lane when i feel like i am not getting the space i deserve/need. You should try just riding in the middle of the lane.

  • @lolcats1799 - Im commuting because of poverty not enjoyment.. These idiots would not let me enjoy a single mile.

  • you need the "air zound" . im going to get one, heard it, saw what it does on youtube and i can say it will keep you safe

  • @122ffsdd - I just got one!

  • they should give our troops in iraq and afganistan these bicycles. the stealth capability is awsome. it seems to make you completely invisible even if somebody is 3 feet away they cant see you. amazed the cyclist didnt swear more. seriously tho they should send police men/ women on them with number plate recognition cameras so these drivers can be prosecuted for dangerous driving

  • Some people are complete idiots and do not understand that bicycles share the same roads and road rules that cars do. People seem to think that since theyre in a car theyre far superior, which isnt true. I like your videos. Shows how inconsiderate some people are and how car oriented our society has became.

  • I have NO problem with people biking.... NONE AT ALL. but thats when they are considerate, YOU did great and i apreciate that... but the bikers in my city are never in the bike lane when there is one, or they ride side-by-side, or they ride in the middle weather or not they are turning up ahead... it seems like they are trying to make a statement.... IDK they annoy the heck out of me.... i wish everyone biked like you in my town!

  • It seems like when people see you on the bike they purposely run stop signs just to cut you off. People in America are really hateful towards bicyclists for no good reason. I've experienced people yelling or trying to scare me by revving their engines or honking even when I'm on the sidewalk.

  • @SkeksisRule - Its outright targeted aggression. I can deal with careless or distracted drivers but the angry ones who seem to want to intimidate you are extremely scary.

  • I agree. Even when I'm in a car I've had other drivers try to run me off of the road or throw things at me and yell for something as simple as looking at them. People are just scary angry these days.

  • @SkeksisRule

People here in america are just douche bags to people riding bikes...dunno why

  • @SkeksisRule

Same in England....drivers are unnecessarily agressive.

  • @HCWProduction - I dont know what was going down. I think maybe the guy with the trailer had a breakdown.

  • I love the thrill of commuting, but it does come with it's share of risks. Please be safe out there!

Also, what helmet camera are you using?

  • it happends to me constantly either on my bike or motorcycle, 99.999% i just wanna cought up with those a-holes and beat their asses to dust

  • @desmosedicimeccanica - I often catch up to these tough guy rednecks and they roll up the windows and wont even look at you.

  • By holding a camera while you are riding your bike is putting yourself in danger you are turning

around to film cars overtaking you, you wasnt in full control yourself. Please take care for your own safety. Here in the UK bike riders dont have to have insurance but if they are involved in an accident they can claim on the car drivers insurance, but if a bike rider courses an accident they can walk away and not pay a penny!!!

  • @MMUXX - Oh my god I cant believe people still think I am riding around holding a video camera! THE CAMERA IS ON MY HELMET! Here in the USA we have no insurance and no healthcare whatsoever. Rich people run over poor people all the time and laugh about it later at the country club. Poor people sit in the hospital emergency room for hours until they finally die.

  • That is EXACTLY why I left the suburbs.

  • Some of theose drivers suck.

  • The situations your putting yourself in are dangerous, Not the drivers, I mean look at the fuckin roads your on. Single lane roads for one car to go by at a time with zero shoulder. Your giving people the choice of either passing you like "Assholes" Or staying behind you which would make them safe drivers...

  • @jp2691 - First of all its "you're" not "your" stupid. Secondly, it is perfectly legal to ride a bike on public roads excluding interstate highways. Its a free country, love it or leave it. I think stupid people like yourself present a bigger danger to our society than even the most reckless drivers.

  • @gaggotgaggot said:get off the road you asshole and get yourself a car.

I have a car jackass. I ride my bike when I can because the millions of dollars that fat lazy people hand to oil companies goes to Saudi dictators and asshole terrorists.

  • get off the road you asshole and get yourself a car.

  • Back in 1998 I was hit while riding my bike from college classes to my house. I was on the main road and this idiot in a truck pulled out in front of me and hit me and I was on crutches with a broken tibia plateau for 3 months. Most of the time now I ride in a park.

  • @hunhun23 - That sucks. I hope you got some money from their insurance company!

  • I did and it cost them almost $100,000 but the fact is all the money in the world does not help because I now have arthritis in that knee and it hurts during the cold months.

  • Good luck battling those Muppets. Why the hell arent the cops doing this for us and making a killing out of fines? The thing most people dont realise is the cameras we use have wide angle lenses and this makes the clearance look greater than it is.

  • @TheVexatiousLitigant - It seems like everybody (especially cycling advocacy and local government) are in complete denial about the situation yet they continue to encourage people to bicycle commute. Good point about the camera, its a hell of a lot scarier than it looks in the helmet cam videos.

  • get off the road with your stupid bike. dumbo

  • Stop being a smurf fetish weirdo.(Seriously check out this freaks youtube page' really creepy stuff

  • vehicle vs bicycle.....vehicle wins, all i can say is be safe.

  • I hate cycleists! All of them should be stuck in the grill of an F-250 for riding their little clown bikes in the middle of the street!!!

  • Learn to spell you redneck terrorist. You sound just like Osama Bin Laden talking about killing Americans just because you hate their freedom. Its a free country and people can ride, roller skate, jog, drive or walk if they want to. If you hate freedom maybe you should go live somewhere like Saudi Arabia or China!

  • @rollinggold64 wrote :I hate cycleists! All of them should be stuck in the grill of an F-250 for riding their little clown bikes in the middle of the street!!!

  • Why do cars feel the need to rev their god damn engines to simply pass a cyclist? These fucking power hungry bastards, especially that tool in the lifted truck. Humans are not generally good but evil, motivated by self-interest and their big egos. Nothing will ever change. Sorry for my pessimism, but my philosophy in life has been changing every since commuting by a bicycle and observing the stupidity and egocentirsm of drivers. Good luck with the commute.

  • @hungrybanana1234 - Thanks ! I think you are absolutely right! Dont give up riding, dont let the little authoritarians win!

  • Comment removed

  • @43210asdfghjkl - I am sure the people that you work with a t McDonalds feel the same way about your low level of intelligence.

  • You should ride facing traffic. At least that way you'll see what type of auto caused your demise. Hopefully it's something nice like a BMW or perhaps Mercedes.

  • yeah so if you do live then you get sued for damages, fuckin brilliant

  • @everyt1meyoudie - I dont think you would have much luck suing someone you ran over! Bikes have the right of way. Even if they are on the wrong side of the road.

  • Personally I would be too afraid to ride on the wrong side of the road and I am not too sure if that is legal. I will have to look that up in our local state laws but the other night I was pulling out of a parking lot (did look both ways) and I almost hit this guy on a bike (no headlight of course) and he cursed at me! I yelled back that he needed to get a headlight for that bike so that others can see him and that it was the state law requirement.

  • @hunhun23 - Yes there are a great many dumbasses on bikes too! Every bike rider who does stupid stuff makes drivers feel justified in attacking cyclists who are following the rules. I am pretty sure all states require cyclists to use lights or reflectors at night. I never ride at night, drivers are just too careless where I live.

  • Wow - I thought the streets of Edinburgh were bad! Funny that drivers do the same all over the world - just to shave a couple of minutes off the daily commute. Stay safe.

  • @miazizdragon2 - What are you talking about? There is no such thing as courtesy out here on the road. A majority of drivers behave like rabid animals.

  • @miazizdragon2 - Cycleman is right. Cyclists uave the right of way. Period.

  • Not exactly. We have the right of way whenever a car would also have the right of way. For example, no blowing through stop signs.

However, I think it's okay (as in legal) for a cyclist to pass on the right of a motorist when the street is sufficiently wide to do so safely. I hold off when there's wide vehicles on a narrow street.

  • @Ethoxyethane - True dat. Its just a simple matter of physics. A bike rider cant do whatever they want (going through stop lights) and expect to continue living very long. 4000 pound vehicle always crushes 150 pound cyclist. That is why drivers rarely, if ever, yield the right of way to a cyclist. "Cyclists have the right of way" may be on stickers and signs and may be the law but It NEVER happens in my universe. I start to feel stupid when I stop at stop signs and cars just blow right through.

  • OK here's my problem dude. 90% of the passing issues I don't have because I understand people behind me don't want to do 15 in a 35. So stop impeding traffic and get the hell out of the way.

Then there's the stop sign. You are obligated to follow every traffic law just as a motorist would. Nuff said.

You also fail to ride defensively. You had so much opportunity to prevent stuff from even being a close call, but didn't so as to make a point. You're the type of cyclist that asks for trouble.

  • @MyDisciple - No here is your problem- YOU ARE WRONG! I rarely see motorists who feel "obligated" to follow ANY TRAFFIC LAWS AT ALL! The only reason I went through the stop sign that one time was to run away from the aggro driver trying to kill me! So write me a ticket deputy dumbass! Nuff said.

  • Even if you used punctuation that would still make no sense. You should stick to watching pro wrestling and stay away from writing.

  • Frankly some roads are better for bycyling but no matter what your reason you can be DEAD RIGHT under the wheels of a truck.you put drivers in danger riding your bike on such busy and narrow roads. Good luck You certinly need it

  • You certinly nead to lurn how too sppel. Im sure all those drivers in 5000 pound SUVs are really in danger from some guy on a bike.

  • wow the danger factor is x, now youtube vietnam or some asian country and see what cycleists live through

  • LIGHTNinja3U,

I'm guessing you're not even old enough to have a license. Cars are not supposed be passing vehicles in front of them when ever a curve is coming up. The double yellow lines on the road made it even clearer! Those drivers were breaking multiple laws in one fell swoop. Believe it or not, Bikes BELONG on the road.

  • Hi

I ride to work and also use my cycle for when I am at work to get from place to place. I own cars, but choose to use my bike most of the time, it beats the traffic and is quicker that using the car in the city. Hope you have a helmit, it saved my live when I was ran over via a head on crash with a car, who did not stop at a junction.

    Terry (Engalnd)

  • The new helmets are so good there really is no reason not to wear one. I remember they used to weigh ten pounds and have no vents. Be safe. Thanks for the comment.

  • For the 500th time IT IS ILLEGAL TO RIDE A BIKE ON THE SIDEWALK. Cars are not supposed to pass around a blind curve. I am not sure what you mean by "putting danger in the drivers" but all I am doing is riding a freaking bicycle not commiting genocide.

  • wow so many close calls. what a bunch of heartless assholes.

  • long time commuter here, drivers are like black labs chaseing tennise balls. I gotta passem, I gotta passem, oh oh oh I gotta passem. then you catch em at the light.

  • Hi there, a percentage of drivers are dick-heads, some are dangerous dick-heads.

    That's a nasty collection.

I have a comment on your cycling. This obviously depends on traffic laws, but I looks like you cycle too close to the kerb. That leaves you insufficient room when there's a dangerously close-pass, like the Semi @~3.58 that forced you off, or when you got squeezed by the white Hyundai @~ 4.18. It also discourages passing when YOU consider it's dangerous for them to pass.

  • You are absolutely right. That is exactly what the law recomends and it is exactly what the state bicycle handbook says. I have tried it. The drivers just get more aggressive and have even more temper trantrums. Just read the stupid comment left by ff7redxi below. If you do what the bicycle handbook says YOU WILL BE KILLED. They will scrape you off the road and the driver that ran over you wont even get a ticket.

  • lots of people ride their bikes on roads up here, my only issue is them taking up a large portion of the shoulder to where traffic cant safely pass them without being a foot or 2 from them.

  • If you cannot safely pass over 3 feet from them, then just wait it out. Not the end of the world to lose a second or 5.

  • Its pretty ridiculous. Many times I have idiots pass me very aggressively only to catch right up to them at the next stop light. Its completely irrational.

  • some kind of machismo weakling thing. Maybe it is jealousy from staying stagnant in a cage rolling them around while you are out breathing and losing some calories (plus not giving money to over seas oil providers)

  • Learn proper English. Retard.

  • just the trucker @3:57 was it dangerous and very bastard

other was it not dangerous ,and quiet

  • yikes. that truck was close

  • but you are riding in the US most of those drivers has proberly not even seen a bike before!

only there big GMC trucks there shotgun and TV

  • What were you doing at 0:46? You should have read the road far better.

Apart from that, there was some horrific driving but I'd expect very little else from anyone who drives an SUV and can only drive manual transmission.

  • I was making a left turn. I was signalling so I was riding with only one hand when the asshole pulled right out in front of me. Not my fault. I did nothing wrong.

  • he pulled out in plenty of time, you made it look like his fault by moving to the left and crowding his lane. You should have stayed on the right side of the road until your turn. You could also slow down a bit when you feel like you're "scared off the road".

  • I was making a left turn, riding with one hand with my left arm sticking out. He cut me off bcause he was a worthless jerk just like you!

  • Wow. That driver@ 2:09 was a total dumbass. Truck driver@ 2:56 was even a bigger dumbass. Truck driver @ 3:43 was really stupid. You need to report the semi driver for running you off the road. Hope you dont wind up 6 feet under anytime soon. Ride safe man!

  • looks to me like most of them were giving you plenty of room. as for the speeding, the reason they were accelerating was probably because they slowed down so they could safely give you plenty of space and were getting back up to speed (they slowed down for you!...be grateful). I have no problem with people riding bikes, just don't act "holier than thou" because you ride one and I don't. That doesn't help your cause.

  • Looks to me like you are another dumbass! Get some glasses, all that inbreeding in your family may have damaged your eyesight as well as your brain. They were speeding, driving recklessly, and acting like assholes. PERIOD.

  • One other thing: How many drivers did you exclude from your little report? You show very few in that movie and cut many clips.

It seems to me that you're just being a bitch about the situation.

And I do agree drivers are awful; but I don't go taking walks in "ghettos" because I do have a brain. Please see the correlation.

  • The video is entitled "Bicycle Commuter vs. Bad Drivers" . Should I have included 4 hours of people driving well? When operated recklessly a vehicle is considered a deadly weapon. If these drivers accelerated aggressively towards a police officer the same way they did to me, the officer would be well within his rights to shoot them dead where they sat. As for you having a brain... well it doesn't seem to work all that well.

  • Skillmare

It only takes ONE accident to kill a cyclist!

  • Thanks psuedo.

  • The rules of the road for drivers aside--you also violated some rules. Not a criticism. I've been riding for almost 38 years. A bicyclist shares the road but cannot overcome the laws of physics. I've been hit twice by drivers who were using their idiotic cellphones.

  • I ran one stop sign nitpicker. As I explained to all the other youtube nitpickers, I wanted to get away from the guy in the truck acting very aggressively. If I actually followed the rules of the road all the time believe me, I would be the only one. Riding a bike down the road is not illegal.I usually catch up to most of the assholes who have crybaby temper tantrums because they feel that their important lives have been disrupted by a bike rider at the very next stop light!

  • First off, MOST of the video seems fine. Cars are going around you and many are giving you the entire right side lane by going on the opposite lane when no car is near. Secondly, the cyclist also broke a rule near the end of the video by not following the stop sign. You expect drivers to be cautious of you? Are you really that ignorant? Sure, they should be wary of hitting you, but it's YOUR life that will come to an end in any accident, therefore you have to accept it, move on, and ride safely.

  • First off, YOU'RE Wrong! The drivers are speeding and driving recklessly. The speed limit is 25 mph and most of them were at full acceleration doing upwards of 50. The law is very clear, CYCLISTS AND PEDESTRIANS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY. As for the stop sign I went through (after pausing and looking both ways) I was trying to get away from the aggressive driver in the truck who pulled off the road. There are a lot of ignorant people like YOU out here who think they must punish cyclists.

  • First off, I don't care if the speed limit is 25 mph; you're not clocking the speeds of those drivers and you are not a police officer. You sit here and complain about their driving (which may or may not be bad) but you KNOWINGLY ride the street anyway. Perhaps YOU need to take a different route. Fact: No one was even close to hitting you in your film, and everyone was aware (besides perhaps one truck) that you were there. Regardless of speeding, they went in the opposite lane and respected you.

  • Its perfectly legal and actually highly encouraged by local and state governments for people to ride their bikes to work. It cuts down on traffic, cuts down on pollution, keeps people healthier, keeps the air and water cleaner etc. etc. You started off wrong and you aren't going to convince anyone but yourself with your pathetic and stupiod arguements. You sound like one of those Glenn Beck teabagger retards.

  • sorry you have to commute on such crazy rural roads with no shoulders. But i also see a lot of this activity even on what i would consider better roads (less traffic and wider shoulders).

  • I was just in the US on holiday. It's amazing just how backward the view on environmentally friendly transport is there. I've visited 12 countries around the world. The US is the only place where I had to hire a car to get anywhere. Compared to coutries many US citizens would consider third world, US public transport systems are abysmal. On road cycling facilities are non exsistant. And as demonstrated in this video, regard for human life is at an all time low when people get behind the wheel.

  • Its really pathetic. We vote. We protest. Those of us who are not Neandethals fight every day but the forces that keep trying to push us backward always seem to win. All the while the rest of the world blows by us into the 21st century.

  • I remember this one time someone played chicken with me while I was on my bike. SUV vs bicycle. They ended up running me off the road. asses

  • You have a lot of courage. I think it would be suicidal to ride to work from where i live. Drivers on cell phones are the worst. And i hate idiots who yell at me out of car windows. Anymore i stick to the bike path. The US is way bicycle unfriendly

  • Thanks! So many idiots out there. If only we could put them to good use. Maybe if we made all the idiots push a giant turbine generator we could solve our energy problems.

  • I've got to admire you're patience mate. As a cyclist here in the UK, I can't get buy a gun like you can in the US. If I could, I'd be tempted to shoot a few motorists in the face.

    Stay safe.

  • Thanks for the comment. I actually tried to see if I could fit my 12 gauge in my backpack the other day. I think I would probabaly run out of ammo before I got halfway to work! Cheers!

  • I had someone throw a glass bottle at me a few weeks ago. I was minding my own business and cruising along and all of a sudden I see a bottle fly before my face. Scared the living shit out of me. I tried to catch them but they made it to the on-ramp before I could get to them. I couldn't make out the tag number either. I was shaken up for half the day and PISSED! It was my off day too, I just wanted to relax...

  • I ve been riding for 25 years and I have never seen so much aggression towards cyclists as I have in the last 2 years.

  • Some days I have to mentally prepare myself for what i'm about to encounter in the streets. I try to ignore certain things but alot of times the anger builds. Especially me being a black dude in the hood, lol...I had a bunch of thugs yell "who the fuck are you, the black Lance Armstrong" lol...assholes, i guess that's the equivalent to the rednecks you encounter in your area....
