Ichigo's bankai is a bit underrated in the recent episodes, especially the speed aspect of the bankai. His bankai does not look too special anymore. I really want to see again how Ichigo outmaneuvers his opponent with his insane bankai speed.

to be honest i just think the author is slacking a bit... all ichigo does now is bankai, hollow mask, flash step getsuga tenshou, then he kneels and starts praying that he killed the opponent and yeah ichigo's bankai now seems more like a change of costum than an improvement to his attacks tbh. That idea of fusing getsuga tenshou with a cero sounds great ;p

While I do agree there is a definite lack of variety of techniques with Ichigo, he is still pretty new to being a Shinigami. In the canon he has only been one for maybe a year, while every other Shinigami has had 50 to 100 years of training under there belt. That being said if Ichigo continues to fight that way it will start to get pretty boring.

I personally think that Ichigo's combination of bankai and his vizard mask makes him an extremely strong shinigami. His bankai augments his speed while his mask enhances his strength and his getsuga tenshou.
