Historically Thanksgiving is the day we celebrate the period when the British settlers in Massachusetts and Virginia and the Native Americans came together to celebrate the settlers surviving the cold winter (its in November, so cold weather hasn't really started yet? I never really understood that). The Native Americans gave the settlers food and they were marry together, celebrating life and harvest.

On Thanksgiving (the third Thursday of November) we make tons of food: turkey, stuffing, rolls, potatoes of many forms. We watch football, drink, and eat pumpkin pie. It's pretty traditional for families to get together and for everyone to say what they are thankful for.

Then we go to bed early and get up at about 2 am for Black Friday. Haha.
