Tijuana is an hour drive from Bonsall, Ca. Something probably happened to them there? What have the Mexican authorities said about their presence there, if anything?
It sounds as if he took his family there and planned on returning home with the dogs not being fed and food left out at home?
I hope they find some leads soon about there whereabouts. So sad when kids are involved too.

Whatever it was they had to get up quick and leave, families hide things from each other even if they think they are tight and so close. You can never know for sure someone isnt hiding any secrets

By Feb of 2010 the economy - and especially the housing market - had tanked. No huge demand for custom fountains, I would think - yet almost $100k in the bank (after buying a new house)? $100k that hasn't been touched? Definitely a drug related killing. They went to pick up a stash and something went bad. His mom made reference to her son being involved in drugs on the Disappearance program, so I'm not sure why the brother is acting so clueless. It's very sad, but they're most likely dead.
These people are clearly gone. Out of the US and out of Mexico most likely in south America or the carribean. Either joseph owed alot of money to a drug dealer, or maybe the gov. They planned this out very good, if it was an abduction something would have came up, mexicans aren't that slick. Or they could be in the witness protection but why? Geraldo just cut to the chase didn't he? Drugs and all that.. and his brother looks like he is ready to punch his lights out. People can and DO involve themselves in things that we find UNTHINKABLE. IT could be drugs who knows. Pretty plain to see that they ran with the searches they did on their computer. They may never know why this family ran away. I don't think they were kidnapped at all.

That search on the computer not long before the time they left and the car found dumped doesn't seem random coincidence. The dogs seemed like they thought they'd be back, or taken, or told to come fast or would miss something, or told emergency, or contact they knew to just leave food items on the counter. These ppl dipped out, whats the thoery on this-surely by now there are some crazy conspiracy theories.. how much cash did these folks have? no one takes their kids TO illegal activity-I am going with they are running from the gov't or the gov't has hid them but I dont believe for a second they stayed in Mexico.

@RandiSierra i have come to the conclusion they were trafficking something. Drugs, people, merchandise. I believe they went to pick up either money or a load and were diposed of. I believe the father unknowingly lead his family to death. The best way to get rid of the father is to eradicate the whole family. I believe the father thought they would be right back, and this time whoever he worked with,or was meeting had other plans..
