U have to all remember something, This game came out way before MJ was accused of what he did. It wasnt in peoples heads at the time that he had issues or was a pedophile. He did alot of work for sega at this time, he even did almost all the music for Sonic 3. And I know everyone says or said he was a pedophile, but that wasnt ever proven. MJ grew up very stict and from that he wanted children to live happier lives unlike him.

Castle of Illusion was a much better choice though, I would have lead with that and chosen something other than Moonwalker. I didn't think it was that great even when it was new. Also, I wasn't comparing it to the arcade, I didn't even find out about that untill years latter.

Moonwalker was one of the original flagship games for the genesis before Sonic came out. Also, Michael Jackson was kinda big back then, and they already had a popular arcade game, which is what the genesis version was slightly based off of.

A lot of people's first genesis game was Moonwalker, as well, cause it was the first game where you could play as a celebrity.

As a young lad i would always have to wait about two years later for the new systems as they where expensive. Was lucky to get more then one game every 12months if that. Them days we used to get a game and no matter what you would learn to enjoy it. None the less it was still the golden age of video games

Nintendo had StarFox and Sega had Streets of Rage 2. I played both for about five minutes and new completely that I wanted the SEGA! I never regretted that decision in the least.
