Of all the chants and slogans to come out of Occupy Wall Street, none stinks more than “We are doing this for you.” Taking over a public park is not an act of generosity. Likewise, unemployed college graduates demanding student loan forgiveness for themselves so everyone else has to pay. And costly general strikes, encouraging businesses to shut down, or asking police officers to defect from their jobs. Or demanding higher taxes on others so they can be redistributed in their direction.
I'm not saying that these arrested were fair, but the filmmaker cut out a lot. There are scenes that just skip to the arrest. I can't say if this was fair or not because I honestly don't trust people who go out there hoping to film something unfair in order to legitimatize a cause. I don't know what they were doing in between those shots, and I can't hear what they were saying. My friends at ows say it's been quite peaceful in new york, so this seems strange to me.

Of all the chants and slogans to come out of Occupy Wall Street, none stinks more than “We are doing this for you.” Taking over a public park is not an act of generosity. Likewise, unemployed college graduates demanding student loan forgiveness for themselves so everyone else has to pay. And costly general strikes, encouraging businesses to shut down, or asking police officers to defect from their jobs. Or demanding higher taxes on others so they can be redistributed in their direction.

I'm not saying that these arrested were fair, but the filmmaker cut out a lot. There are scenes that just skip to the arrest. I can't say if this was fair or not because I honestly don't trust people who go out there hoping to film something unfair in order to legitimatize a cause. I don't know what they were doing in between those shots, and I can't hear what they were saying. My friends at ows say it's been quite peaceful in new york, so this seems strange to me.

A good amount of the people talking about what is going on in the park have not even been to the protest. They get their information from the media. Well most of the media isn't for OWS. People can put anything in a newspaper n make it look like the protesters fault. However if you have been down there or follow the protest through the proper channels you will see that any claim against OWS is either not real, or not that serious.
