Where'd you get that torch? I use a butane flame lighter, because like you said its directional but I like a handheld one better. Would make life alot easier. Nice lanyard design too, if you actually used the wall knot instead of bringing up your strands in part 2 you could of left them thru the loop and u could of hid the singed ends so they wouldn't be seen. just a thought.
Thanks for making this tutorial. It answered several knot questions for me. The only thing that I'd suggest is to clearly speak or even spell out the proper names of those ball knots. In case I'd like to look up more info on it/them.
Also, besides a clip or carabiner - you could also terminate in a bracelet catch (the plastic 'squeeze clasp') and then a short attachment to your keyring or phone (or whatever) and it will be easily detachable from the lanyard.
Thank you I am down to making the knot on the end a friend asked me make a neck lanyard and you are the only one I found on youtube again thank you very much for all the hard work you put into the videos I will take a pic of mine I always take a pic of the stuff I make if you are on facebook look me up Christopher Gallagher I will post the pic there
Excellent job man. Iv been trying to make one for three weeks now but am finally on the verge of figuring all out. Tough to film that vid bud. Thanks for your hard work and dedication.
Its super awesome... i stuck with it the entire way... but i enjoyed the tutorial even if it was in three separate parts. Thank you. I'm definitely going to make myself one of these.
I like to use the handle of a all stainless knife to flatten the molten Paracord with, makes for a nice, clean look.
Except for one special kind of Paracord, with both GID and reflective tracers. When you try and singe that, it pretty much always start to burn, especially the tracers, but even the regular Paracord is difficult. Guess all Paracord ain't the same.
looks pretty cool but you might want to let people know if they get hung up on this while its on their neck that their neck will break before the cord will if thats what it comes to. Paracord neck lanyards should always have a quick release snap on them, same for cat collars
