  • Sorry i can't hear you all over the sound of how AWESOME this Song is!!!!

  • Should be a national anthem! so uplifting.

  • A dislike? Sod off Spectrum lover!

  • this is best ocean loader.

  • This is Legendary!

  • Galway rulezzz!!!!!!

  • .....just love it!!....

    beyond awesome is this track

  • brings tears to my eyes, wish I was 10 again playing my commodore

  • I love this Track!!!!! lol no other words seemed right!

  • The loading music from the 80's games should be a religion.

  • Enjoyed zero to end of this track :-)

  • @djspesh82 Yep, the best part of this great track is the bit between 0.00 and 3.43.

  • Absolutely superb!!! better than musical artists today

  • This is a remix of Ocean Loader 2.

The music for the game in the background (Parallax) is also worth checking out. Same composer - Martin Galway.

Great stuff. Modern games need more music like this.

  • Best loader tune ever!

  • magic. takes me back to the old days of sitting waitng on a game to load.

far better than the Spectrum which was just noise! :)

  • I remember both....I miss my C64

  • I remember this tune but not the game.

    very cool!

  • had to come back this is amazing :)

  • Good remix, I get a bit of Moroder feeling, which is quite good and I am a c64 fanatic so I love it.....

  • PPL say music was often better then the game ... that not really true because GRAPHICS did improove over years.... SOUND DID NOT...

SO you can take tune from 20 years ago and its still as good as sounds today or even better...

  • - HANDS UP 4 COMMODORE ! -

    my arms for AMiGA ! ... :)

    ... live long and prosper

  • Awesome mix. Not a big fan of the percussion, but still well done ^_^

  • Good music but i don't remember the game

  • @umpisuoli87 It's from a loading screen that was used in many games. There's no specific one.

  • 1 wanker didnt like this probably born late 90s

  • @dave00dance lol too true

  • AAAAAAAAAAWESOOOOOOOOOOOMEEEEEEE

  • Great remix, for me the percussion is a little bit too intrusive, but this is still very good. The original is unbelievable, a classic.

  • "Oh I wish it would take more than 2 minutes for this game to load!"

  • What the hell??? Where are the rest of the ocean loaders. I *must* have more...

  • wonderful

  • This is a masterpeice!

  • How come no game music nowadays achieve the classic status of C64-masterpieces like Ocean Loaders, Giana Sisters, Star Paws, Magical Sound Shower, Turrican II etc..

The old geniuses like Hülsbeck and Hubbard etc shall live forever.

  • @TheTaskurapu

    One exception: Halo

That is some of the best game music in years

  • I had this on the dixons six shooter tapes :D

  • Epic.

  • Like someone walked over my grave when I listened to this just now. Brought back memories I long since knew I had...EPIC

  • is this off any of his releases?............let me know cheers

  • MUCH BETER!

  • Old video game music ftw

  • god i had this game

  • The music I passed with 250 KM/h on freeway cause I forgot that driving the real car it is not a game....

  • its amazing how we went from game systems like this to stuff likethe wii with movement control or he ps3 with its hardcore graphics or the not so good xbox360 that fries its self....wow

  • yes, we nake really good technological jump... but we paid for it with quality of games... modern "quality" shifts from playability and interest to graphics and marketing... it's so bad =(

  • I'm not so sure, I still love playing a slew of C64 games now that I grew up playing back in the 80's as well as the latest games, but there were some real stinkers back then that were just as heavily marketed, particularly Ocean's movie tie-in games, which were usually awful and tried to be sold on the Ocean name alone.

  • Martin Galway? Similar rhythm as in Arkanoid, but the drums rather are not played by SID chip.

  • FUCKEN A MAN

  • The music that defined gaming in the 1980's still lives! Amazing remix!

  • Nice reworking.

What do people think of one of my own chiptune efforts? Using the Commodore 64 is a composition tool as well as just one of the instruments I came up with this:

CHIPTUNE: COMMODORE 64, HAMMOND B4, ROLAND JD-800; "COOTY"

Have a listen and rate if you'd be so kind.

  • Oh man. I remember this !!

    Great upload dude.

  • Great remix. After so many years I can still remember every individual note of this song. And reminds me of those early days when it took like half an hour to load a game =) with a 1531 datasette. My old C64 is still on my dad`s attic. Last time I connected it (was like 10 years ago) it still worked and I could even get some of those floppy disk games to work on my 1541 disk drive.

  • Order a MMC-Replay an get 2GB of storage space. Loads any game in under a second. It's awesome :)

  • awesome remix as usual

  • oh yes. Martin Galway, Ocean Loader 2 from 1985.

thank you. this was a priceless masterpiece of the c64 era. together with " a man and his droid" I loved those two.

  • awesome!!! :D :D

  • Thanks for the music, have been searching forever for it..

    Greetings from Sweden.

  • Brings tears to my eyes..

  • the music was often better than the game!

  • yeah.. epic.. thats the word. thumbs up

  • if i could go back,it would be then!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another C64 epic track! Fantastic!

  • Classic masterpiece of Martin Galway, the genius behind Wizball.

  • Ahhh the days... :) Super track!

  • Gamemusic was actually better in the old days!

  • on what you can bet!!!

  • Much better! Limited techology braught out the best in these geniuses!

  • @ncry Of course it was.

  • WoW it sounds great !

  • Wish they'd remix every ocean loader. They could make it their next album. Bloody marvelous!
