No, it's not too fast IMO. In fact it's usually played faster. Furtwängler needed 2:50 3 minutes for it (inranrJuiHE) while Toscanini's version (InPRlxxOpOc) is 3:10 and who are we to know these things better than them :D.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the tempo is a bit fast...but this is an energetic performance!
