Michael, please spend some time looking carefully at these choral composers & their examples: Ockeghem (Requiem), Des Pres (Missa Pange Lingua), Machaut (Missa), Dufay (Missa Sine Nomine), Michael Praetorius (Puer Natus in Bethlehem), Sweelinck (Hodie Christus Natus Est). You are only scratching the surface here with this!
@jevalles Yes I agree, there should be difference between the Kyrie Eleison and the Christe Eleison ......for the use of unexpect modulation I would advise to listen also to Schubert and Bruckner.
I enjoyed listening to this but found the harmonic language very "samey", ie lacking in modulation. There need to be more climax-points and some exploration of counterpoint. Keep writing - it all gets there in the end!
