  • Thats band drive me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont think I've ever heard this before. Excellant ! Thanks for posting it

  • THANK YOU ReigNitemare for posting this! I first heard this song when I was in middle school and immediately fell in LOVE with it. My older sis was really into Zeppelin and I had just bought my first Zeppelin CD (Led Zeppelin II) and my parents got her a box set and this song was on it. This has been my favorite Zeppelin song ever since.

  • Why is there nobody on this planet who makes this kind of music these days? Today its all about .....Got Talent, Idols, The X Factor etc. Man they don't know shit about good music. It really is a cryin shame..

  • @dehulkrobbie Well, thanks to youtube, I have discovered some bands with some 60's and 70's smell, for example The Buffalo Killers. Of course nothing can be compared with Led Zeppelin that came from another planet, but there is still hope I think

  • This song is insane! I cannot understand why this was not an album track and taken off coda?

  • The working title of this song was "A Tribute to Bert Berns". Berns wrote and produced the song "Here Comes the Night" by the Irish band Them with Jimmy Page doing session work on guitar.

  • mga loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove thisssssss

  • это мог выложить только ПЕДИК!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Come on Robert...One more tour !!!

  • this song was found in a dumpster in 93 labeled "yardbirds 1968" even the trash of Led Zeppelin were gems

  • Dont come home baby without weed!

  • I don't think this was intentionally left off the album. I think the story goes the track went missing. Then showed up in a trash bin 20 years later and given back to Jimmy. Something like that.

  • imagine that they left it off the first album, cause the backup harmonies were not good enough. i think the song was too soft for what they were tryin to do at the time. this is one of my favourites. but they all are.

  • american woman has the same riff as whole lotta love. whole lotta love came first. the guess who were mightily influenced by the who (hence their name!) and my GUESS is burton cummings a tremendous! singer was influenced by zep more than the other way 'round.

  • ..why would Led Zep not release a song of such quality back in 68/69 whenever it was recorded? Just goes to show how many good songs they had that they didnt need to release this masterpiece, they had so many other fuckin brilliant songs!! This is a fuckin LZ classic!! Brilliant!!

  • I'll be killed for saying this (maybe) but this song sounds so much like Burton Cummings and the Guess Who ( in the style and phrasing, not the sound) I wonder who influenced who on this one.

  • What an amazing song. Wow, just fucking wow...

  • great post and great song and great band!!!

  • This song is also on the physical rarities album. Track 19.

  • greatest voice in music history.

  • i didn't know this was possible but i just had a eargasm and it was the best feeling ever

  • I visited Lakehurst, NJ, about ten years ago, where the Hindenburg went down in '39. Had a museum with memorabilia, a cage the that couldn't hold a shepherd were sailors spent the night as a trunk tank, old timers telling me how after WWI ex-pilots gave people rides on surplus biplanes for a quarter. I always think about that place when I listen to this song for some reason.

  • It was first released on the 1993 box set 2. It was recorded in 1968. Before then it never appeared on any album. In the box set, the song is on the album Coda. Great song!

  • I just came. enough said?

  • Beautiful!

  • "Sorry no lyrics for this one" "Don't worry! We know them!"

  • im sorry but how the hell did this not make it on an album!!!!!!

  • I just heard this 80,934 times

  • This is some serious soul! Can just imagine Otis redding doing this. Damn, what a duet that would have been!

  • This is a great song!

    I love it.

  • reminds me of Queen.

  • @MrFunkytaste the chorus reminds me of them.

  • @MrFunkytaste ya how?

Each song they have released has just broadened their style.

  • @87joseluis92 Its Only Found In The '93 Box Set (as far as I know) With The Coda Album, There Are 3 Bonus Tracks, Including This One!

  • @ReigNitemare my husband bought me that set for a gift 2 years ago. I cried. greatest gift ever!

  • @ReigNitemare what are the other bonus tracks called?

  • @ReigNitemare wow...I was thinking how did I miss this song???? where did it come from?? LOVE it

  • Anyone know is the name of this album? Or the number of the album? Thanks

  • @87joseluis92 CODA

  • OH YEA!!!! KEEP THOSE GREAT OUTTAKES COMING, JUST LIKE FINDING GOLD, EVEN BETTER!!!!

  • This song is not good to listen when you've just had your heart broken. haha Zep rules though. Fantastic and will live forever.

  • I have the hope that they pressed the unlike button by mistake.

  • how could you POSSIBLY dislike this song?

  • wonder what Zep would have been like in the 80's and 90's

  • @JoeCrotchburger too bad we can never know, if only John Bonham hadn't died :(

  • this and hey hey what can i do should have been on the original 8 albums

  • Extremely underrated song.

  • 3 People dont have a girlfriend to wait for her to come home

  • One of the most amazing songs ever. Amazing.

  • This is the nicest song...makes you think 'bout those good times!

  • I just think of these guys, walkin the French Quarter at 2am back in '69, with the fog rollin in like it often does-all with that mightiness of knowing that there's no doubt they can lose, but being in the moment all the while-what I would do to have met them back then and just be strollin along and shootin the shit w/'em....if i had a time machine, that'd be the 1st place I'd go-b4 Jesus, Napolean, any of em...

  • Come on no one comes close to Zeppelin!

  • Feel the groove of John Boham!!

  • Yeah Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are my fav bands 2.

  • Shit, people who listen actual bands and think a rocker...

    Com'on Led Zeppelin is Godnes!

  • 2 people have been struck dead by the Hammer of the Gods.

  • The Rock N Roll Majesty known as Led Zeppelin

  • Comment removed

  • that reminded me why Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever, this gave me the chills

  • @0live0wire0 Gave me chills too!

  • I love the way they would start songs. They started with two simple chords right away. For whatever reason, that sounds great to me.

  • There's one person that needs to come on home. mister dislike on the greatest band in history. ^^

  • .....Sweeeeeet!!!

  • Ahahahaha 1 dislike! that idiot has no friends. Someone should punish them by tying them down to a chair and force them to watch 10 straight hours of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman!

  • 1:23 Eargasmic voice

  • Janis Joplin, anyone..?

  • I just had the greatest ear-gasm.

  • the o mighty zep!!!!!

  • I can't fuckin' stand The Beatles. They have very simplistic songwriting with very mediocre vocals.

  • The One person who disliked it is probably a Beatles fan

  • @rforfakes Beatles are better than Zeppelin. Zeppelin's the closest that will ever come to the Beatles, but you just have to admit that the Beatles are better. I love Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles. It's just that the Beatles are just something different. Plus, Beatles for most (I'll take anything by them) got better the more they progressed. Led Zeppelin never got past what they were when they started, and if they did it was just a little.

  • @Glen2k1 i have to respectfully disagree....i too like both the beatles and led zeppelin, but in terms of sheer skill and musicianship, songwriting, and just the ability to jam on any damn song and make it sound amazing, zep wins. the beatles are great, and you're right about them getting better with time, but everyone holds them in such high regards as the best band ever, when, in my eyes, they're not. you're listening to the best band ever. at least in my opinion. im sure im not alone there

  • @dlm9293 Led Zeppelin is my second favorite rock artist. I have wasted weeks literally listening to only Led Zeppelin, but I also have with the Beatles. The Beatles were more original, and had crossed way more things even if only for one song. I'm not saying Zeppelin sucks, but the Beatles are just something else. If you like Zeppelin you'll like Sabbath.

  • @Glen2k1 well you're absolutely right i love black sabbath...earlier sabbath anyways. and i have wasted almost all of my 17 years listening to led zeppelin and still there are moments i am left in awe by their music. i understand you're not saying zeppelin sucks, just as i am certainly not saying the betles do, i just like zeppelin better. but thanks for having a civil discussion with me and not turning my disagreement into an argument. i appreciate that.

  • @dlm9293 Favorite Zep album?

  • @Glen2k1 a tie between 2 and 3....yours?

  • @dlm9293 tie between 1 and 3. I love all of them except maybe Physical Graffiti.

  • @Glen2k1 sorry but why not physical graffitti? if any of their albums are below average zeppelin standard, i'd say it was in through the out door, and only because of jimmy page's absence from nearly all of its production.

  • @Glen2k1

Actually if you havnt listened to all of Led Zeppelins albums they have progressed tremendously, not at the point of the Beatles but as a band... They were amazing at what they were doing, i will give the Beatles credit as saying they are the greatest band by opinion. But Led Zeppelin had the potential to be the greatest band ever. Until John the greatest drummer in history in my opinion and Rolling Stones magazines as well died. Led Zep out classed them in almost every direction in op

  • @Glen2k1 I respect your opinion and hopefully you respect mine

  • @rforfakes Saying Led Zeppelin is the greatest is dumb.

They're good. But there were better bands even when Led Zep were in their prime, everyone knows it.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow Like the Beatles? haha thats basically about it... I have no idea besides the beatles who are you are talking about

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow

it depends on how you look at it. The legacy of Led Zeppelin will never be achieved by ANY other band. No one has been able to do what they have done. And honestly, name ONE band that was better than Led Zeppelin at anytime in their career. Many bands of that time may have had a top notch guitarist, but they sure didn't have four musicians who were ALL at the top of their game.

  • @DerekSkater11

I think Pink Floyd is close. Pink Floyd is my favorite band.

  • @696969Brian696969

That would be plausable I think

  • I've never heard this song before but I'm pretty sure this is a take off of an old R&B Song. THis is an R&B Soul song. ITs cool

  • Wow, an amazing song! Should have been on their first LP.

  • What a wonderful song...gotta love Zeppelin!

  • lovley VOICE!!!!!! amen to that.

  • is it on ANY record???

  • @Alu142 Coda with bonus tracks

  • Plant's voice in his early days is absolutely awesome!!

  • Bonhams beyond the beyond

  • Met Robert Plant once at a folk festival. He is a very sincere man and we ended up chatting about music and football. This was back when Page and Coverdale released an album. I asked him what he thought about Coverdale and he reckoned he was a wanker. Funny.

  • I WANT YOU TO PLEAAASE COME HOME!

    =D!!!!

They don't make music like this anymore.

  • hard to find it ! one of the best of zep ! well, all of them are the best of rock musiC they are like the mozarts of rock music

  • I had no idea that this song existed until i just heard on the radio and I own all the zeppelin albums.

  • This is so badass. It's fuckin' killer.

  • Backround singers????

  • several Robert Plant' vocals take

  • Yep, this song was an outtake for their debut album. Didn't had enough room on the album to put this song in... Took over 20 years to be heard again by fans. Amazing song!

  • Bonham is massive on this as always.

  • No, thats not what im saying! I would never do that, not with Zeppelin

  • amazing!

  • Just to clarify...it was recorded either in 1968 or 69. I can't remember now.

  • This is on the 2nd Remasters Two CD Box Set. Came out in early 90's. Of course this is just another glaring example of why Zeppelin is the best of all time.

  • It was also one of the B sides (along with travelling riverside blues) on the CD single "whole lotta love" released in the 1990s.

  • Damn, I can't find a song that dosn't suck from these guys!

  • I really hope you mean that you cant find a song that DOES suck from these guys...

  • and u nerver will my friend !!

  • is i on any complication or something?

  • i love this song so much...for me one of the best LZ songs..great lyrics ^_^

  • Excellent excellent song.

  • Thought I had listened to every song by the hammer of the gods, but I guess I was wrong.

  • just think i was walking through life thinking ive heard every led zeppelin song there is. until i clicked on this

    vary cool

  • you need some bootlegs.. they got all sorts of old covers and stuff.. blueberry hills a great show.. 1970

  • I'll tell the story to those who don't know it. They recorded this track in late 1968 for the first album and then the tape ended up missing! So, it wasn't on the album. 21 years later it was found in a trash bin behind a record company that wasn't Atlantic or Swan Song. Whomever found it returned it to the band then was released a year or so later.

(Did I get the story right?)

  • Or was it Traveling Riverside Blues? I believe it was Baby Come On Home.

  • Also, if that is the actual story that was presented to the public, you think it's true?

  • @MrDrProfessorJrMD

Couldn't they of just recorded it again?

  • Hearing this song makes me wish they'd release a Coda part 2 or something. The same question comes to my mind too, but maybe there was a legitimate reason (budget, time, etc.)

  • Well, I never recorded an album. A real album anyway. But I imagine in the process of creating an album, that things and ideas are constantly changing. They were going to put this on the album, it ended up missing, so they said,"Alright. This song here works. We'll use that."

  • I'm guessing.

  • ohh man i have every one of their songs besides this one! i need it!

  • Esta es una rola increible!!! es triste pero esta hermosa.... nena...vuelve a casa

  • the more i listen 2 it, the better it is

  • Unlike some of the legendary airships of times past that met tragic ends, Led Zeppelin will always soar high and fly on!

  • Met Rob Plant once at a festival. Good man, down to earth! He told me that he thought Dave Coverdale was a wanker.

  • They were fucking great. And they also piss me off, too; they must have so much unused tracks in the can to fill a whole four CD box that they will never release...

  • Seriously..."Complete Studio Recordings" my ass.

  • Blues @t its BEST !!

  • so raw & pure !!

  • Led Zep = Greatest band ever.

  • YOU KNOW IT !!!!

  • sounds so R&B like?

It this and original by them?

  • Great song! Should have been on the first LP!!

  • this song reminds me of my ex man i want her back so badly

  • lovely, especially the guitar @ 2:48 - 2:50

  • This song is pure awesome, it reminds me of a gospel song. I can't believe it was originally thrown in the trash!

  • awesome

  • I'm not a Led Zep fan,but THIS SONG is

    INCREDIBLE!

This is the famous track that a roadie

    discovered,lost,in a box labelled "New

    Yardbirds"...

    ****************************************

At this time I have need to sell some

personal items. Do you think the ultra-

rare PROMO SINGLE for this song

    would sell?

  • ronald vaughan? i dont belive your really related to the great vaughans, and why arnt you a zep fan, this is amazing. its magic in the form of sound

  • My original last name (which is secret,I

    was adopted) was not "Vaughan".

    *******************************************

I usually collect stuff on female bands, that's just the way I am.

    This song though,is REALLY soulful.

That's why the rare single is worth

    money.

  • Right on Metal Freak!!!

  • Well it's true. :)

  • BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES! led zeppelin is the greatest band that ever smiled upon the world

  • This was, without question, one of the greatest Zeppelin songs every recorded. As i understand it, it had been recorded and "lost" for years until they started putting together their box set in the mid nineties. Thanks for posting!

  • Never understood why this wasn't released on any Zep album- it's got to be one of their most soulful tunes... it's definitely one of my favorites...

  • In 1993 There Was A Box Set Called "Complete Studio Recordings" That Had All Of There Albums With 4 Out Of 5 Unreleased Songs, This Being 1 Of Them! Its Extras On The Coda Album!

  • @ReigNitemare I'm pretty sure it was on the album "coda"....

  • i found it on lime wire looked up led zeppelin found it listened to it and liked it

  • lovely song

  • i heard this for the first time on the radio in 2006. i'm a huge led zeppelin fan and bought all of their albums by 2003. I thought I had heard everything (I knew about Traveling Riverside Blues, Hey Hey What Can I Do and White Summer/ Black Mountainside) then this came on the radio and i was like WTF is this!?!?!? I don't really like it that much
