I couldn't get it t to work. I have installed python and csound. When I click rationale.py, the python cmd window opens briefly and then closes. Any advice on getting it working?
In this case it will probably be necessary to type "python rationale.py" from a command prompt. On Windows it's possible to make .bat files, and on Linux .sh files, that can simply be clicked; I can try to get you set up with one.
Hi. Yes, it's a Python program, so it'll run on most OS's. The Python version needed depends what version of OSX you're running.
For OSx 10.4, Python 2.5; for OSX 10.5, Python 2.5 or 2.6. After installing Python, then you install Csound, and Rationale will run from the command line. Drop me a line if you want more details!

Looks like a fantastic app... if I was working in JI/csound I would love to use this. Very interesting, great work!

Thanks! I've been planning for a few months to add MIDI output, but it's on the back burner. Few people are interested in learning Csound!

My pleasure. There's a lot I couldn't cover, so if you give it a try, feel free to email questions. It's free and open-source.
