A little research will show that Paul Watson is not a trustworthy person and would do just about anything to advance his cause; that and the rather unbelieveable nature of this "assisination attempt" lead me to believe that Paul was not shot at and is pretending. While I do think what those Japanese whalers are doing is wrong, I don't think that lying about getting shot is a very ethical way to stop them from killing whales. This incident leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

The main reasons is so they can maintain a Ready Deck, for incoming helos as they are our devert landings in blue water ops. Also matters if they are part of battle group or off on their own.

@Dingwell88 You are gravely mistaken about the Navy running from high sea states. For our smallboys (frigates/destroyers) they will avoid high sea states if it doesnt interfere with any missions. The main reasons is so they can maintain a Ready Deck, for incoming helos as they are our devert landings in blue water ops. Also matters if they are part of battle group or off on their own.

Yeah, I agree with the last couple of posters. I wear a vest daily. A real gun shot would have probably knocked him on his ass.
