  • What conc HCL?

  • "Alright. First video with narration. I'm no Morgan Freeman so don't be too harsh."

that's funny shit man! Morgan Freeman is the BOMB narrator!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wont electrolysis work too?

  • Very clear, explicative & educational !! A constructive critic, if I may. Maybe add a little more enthousiasme. I mean, maybe you could try to put a bit more emotion & intonation in your voice. Besides, for what's remaining, everything seems perfect. Keep making those experiment, plenty of them are unique; didn't find another one about making Ammonium Chloride that is efficent, like yours Thank you!

    .

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* A super TNT deflagration !

  • nice video

  • Nice videos! You've got some cool stuff here. Your voice actually kind of sounds like mine, creepy :-o

What are you going to use your zinc hydroxide for? I hadn't seen many uses for it.

  • Sure you can turn pennies into zinc hydroxide, but I can turn them into a hotdog if I had enough! Can you do that?

    :P

  • @AmatureChemist True, however the copper will go much, much faster, and give you plenty of time to remove the penny before the zinc begins to react. We did a experiment in chemistry were we destroyed a penny. We first used nitric acid to remove the copper coating, then we use HCl to dissolve the penny. Good point though.

  • If you have a nitric acid available, you can use that to remove the copper from the pennies, but leave the zine, for a faster reaction with the HCl.

  • @AmatureChemist Pah! Stop talking rubbish; your awesome at what you do!

  • Its nice to here a voice with these videos for once. I honesty don't know why you didn't do it before!!

  • Interesting.

  • love the narration!

  • @AmatureChemist alright wasn't sure if it was like illegal:P

  • @AmatureChemist

can such solution of zinc chloride be used for electrocoating? if yes could you make some videos how to do solutions from some metals like stainless steel, brass, copper, vanadium, chrome, nickel, titanium i think it could be useful for me and all DIY Hobbyists. The purpose is to use metals that have some special atributes like good electric conductivity (copper) thermal, kinetic or friction resistance, to transfer them on parts of wanted material. Thank you

  • @AmatureChemist where can i get it?

  • can hyrdochloric acid burn people?

  • wow floating penny's kewl

  • I like the narration :)

  • thanks for all the replies guys! i can understand weapon-state ions like U-235. but as i said, i only want a small sample of each element. doesnt matter what kind of ion/state its in, as long as it doesnt get me in trouble with the feds

  • You're just as good as Morgan Freeman, if not better. Maybe a little louder would have been nice but I'm not complaining. Why pre-1983 coins? I thought later contained more zinc.

  • ha why is everybody doing intos now? anyway cool vid, narration was fine, pretty simple. also what are you planning on doing with the zinc hydroxide?

  • is it illegal to own a very small amount uranium?

  • @Techn0Junki3 no, united nuclear sells it

  • @hkparker well are any of the elements illegal to own? because when i get my own apartment, i want my own real periodic table. Like a big periodic table with all the elements encased in a glass cube. Trust me, i have seen one. just look at periodicvideos vid on the big PT. its awesome

  • @Techn0Junki3 You can have ore or DU, but not weapons grade/fissionable which is U-235.

  • cool.
