  • Absolutely Strut!..they don't like my comments as though this were All Times Universal!..but he would haveta laugh if my eyes were his other half, the Lord's Bride to Be!..Love Is An Excellent Thing!

  • Dewar, Dewar, Dewar

  • One of my all time favorite guitarist and vocalist!

  • Thanks for the goose shivers. You are my inspiration.Miss you James.

  • Back in summer 78, senior in high school coming. Skiing in the early hours at lake of the Ozarks, for the smooth water. I was visiting with a friend there and this other dude who put this 8-track on after we skied...about noon. It was 100 degrees outside but a chilly 65 in this dudes place. We had ptyedhrd last night so I fell asleep to this tune. I've seen Robin five times in my life and I think he is the most underrated guitarist...like ever. He and Davey Pattison should of stayed togthr!

  • soooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooooood

  • Hendrix is proud....

  • sooo FUNKY.....! And James vox smoothes it out so nicely...!!

  • Lead singer chewin gum??? Well, "I hope he brought enuff for everybody!!"

  • @scalemiester yeah - that blew me away too!!! How the hell do you even sing with a mouthful of chewing gum!! But Dewar is so good he can pull off anything - and do it so well!!!

  • trower is a legend. master of strat tone!

  • Saw Robin play this on Friday night at the ABC, Glasgow. Totally amazing.

  • Robin and James the best !!!!!!

  • JukeBoxFamous...(wanted!)

  • Love this cut. James R.I.P. you were the man and will be forever. I think the phaser was a bit much in the chord before he goes into the main riff, its a little less pronounced on the studio track, you almost can't hear the chord it has so much swish in it, but Robin's a killer like always.

  • Watching Jimmy singing so effortlessly only reinforces my opinion he's the best Scottish singer ever. Superb.

  • @blindneep Agree 100% Jimmy Dewar is probably the best UK rock vocalist ever . Shame he never achieved recognition he deserved as he was a class above the so called superstar vocalists who couldnt match him in my opinion . He seems to be better known and revered in the USA which I suppose is due to Robin 's popularity there . Anyhow thanks to you tube we can enjoy that voice .

  • Mr Smokeydog isn't quite right about the critics. I remember Charles Shaar Murray in the NME praised "Bridge of Sighs" very highly and called for more support. I was very grateful he did, being a Trower fan from 1974.

  • I love that mutron phaser

  • This is so damn funky.

  • Love this song. Trower is still da man.

  • DE Light FULL!

  • hey! oui lost our live feed 1:37 Fox.Rock's Czar Robin Trower!

  • ..always very COOL!

  • Can't beat this soulful playing.

  • Robin's like , damn i like this phaser pedal !!!! (grins)....

  • If you go back to when Robin Trower first emerged as a solo artist after leaving Procol Harum he was branded by the critics as a Jimi Hendrix rip-off and was'nt given his due for his own talented style of incorporating the same effects used by Hendrix but using them in a manner to develop an entire style of music based on mainly the flanger effects that Hendrix used on only certain songs for experimental puposes.

  • Man! Yeah! Whooo!

  • Songs like this and a host of others by Robin and the band and the magic voice of James Dewar makes you wonder why in the hell isn't this band in the rock and roll hall of fame. You don't even hear any of this stuff on the radio anymore and this stuff IS classic!!

  • Fuckin' BAD-ASS!

Been lovin' the studio of this for almost 35 years. What a GRIN to watch James do it live.

RIP, my Brother. Absolutely one of a kind, you. & Robin too!!

  • Flannnnnnnnnnnnnngeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee .................

  • God Damn It He Still LIVES!..I Love You Brother!

  • This was at the time of the bands funky Cities Dreams record when they brought in Rustee Allen from Sly to play bass so James 'the Caledonia Man' Dewar could concentrate on his god-given vocals......and boy did he concentrate

Rob wasn't bad on that strat either was he !!!

  • @jimmyjamesdylan Thank you. That answered the question I was about to post: Why isn't Dewar playing bass? But I do hear a big difference in his vocals here. I sort of lost track of Robing Trower after Bridge of Sighs and I'm not sure why. Maybe those first two albums were so good I didn't think anyone needed any more. I'm trying to catch up now.

  • What a great song. I love the tempo.

  • electric mistress flange!! nothing like it.

  • @cubbus09 YUP ! You must be an axe man like me.

  • James was the man R.I.P. LOVE THIS SOUND

  • James was so underrated ,,a great singer . May he R.I.P
