This video reminds me of when I was fishing for peacock bass in a small South Florida canal (with the exception of the vagrant taking a nap along the canal shoreline). They are great fighting fish. Catch and release are a must for these South American imports. What lures did you use?
A single blade spinner bait with a chartreause skirt and red-eye jig head (Walmart, or a Rappala Shad Rap # 7 in Baby Bass pattern (topwater) with two trebble hooks is my favorite and have had the most success with.

I really doubt you've caught 15 pounders down here. I've been fishing peacocks for 6 years and I haven't caught nor seen a peacock caught over 10 lbs

thats a small guy i have caught 15 pounders in south florida but they are very fun fish to get the put up a fight and they are very aggresive.

thers a park in coral springs with a lake and a crap load of peacock bass. just use some live bait. i got like 10 in 1 hour
