I played this version. Episode 2 is the doctor and Episode 3 is Trans groose. and the level 3-5in normal version is 4-1 in beta version. after you finish 4-1, you will go back to 3-2.

No, it can't be the framerate. It shows 4 often, I've had much choppier results when a game read as 8 frames. It's still running far too smoothly to be around 4 frames a second. Maybe around 10-20 frames.

Some more changes from the final product that you didn't mention...

First, clarifying your points:

-All guards and bosses yell "Hey", instead of "Halt", "Stop" or "Comin for ya!" No rat death sound, no key sound.

-That number in the corner.

-Less censorship. Blood, crosses (instead of sceptres), and the crosses on the walls are more detailed. Dog food instead of cheese.

-The status bar borders being a different color.

-No smile when you pick-up a gun.

-Cheats don't work.

-Some levels are a lot more accurate to the PC equivilents (like the first level).

-All treasure no longer counts as one "item". Crosses and chalices count as 2, chest as 3, crown as 4.

-Episodes 2 and 3 are reversed.

-You can only carry 9 rockets.

-Trans Grosse fires much faster!

-The secret exit is still in 3-1, but since the eps were switched, the location changed.

-The secret level breaks the game! It puts the secret level as 4-1, so beating the level always takes you to E3M2!

If it were a cart, I would be millionaire and very, very lucky. No, it's a ROM that I found in a page where I though I'd find just the normal game but in the pack I found 4 different Wolf3Ds: This beta, a german translated version, a spanish translated and the normal one. Anyway, it seems that this beta isn't something too easy to find... or is it?
