The first few rounds will be close( around 4) then it would go down to game plan and making adjustments. Since Cotto does not have a legitimate trainer it would be his down fall. I don't think Manny is even focus on the 7th world title - he just need this money to help the flood victims in the Philippines. Manny's agenda is just different from all the boxers this reason alone keeps him hungry for success.
Watching almost all of Cotto's major fights in Youtube, I found he has a strong left hand. He seldom used his right hand. His right hand is not that strong. He could not punch while backing up. He also tends to fade in the later rounds. With guys who had the momentum of the fight, Cotto tends to hit with low blows, very apparent with the fight with Zab and Torres. If he is continously hurt by an aggressor he would back out and runaway being chased. Roach will capitalize on these.

Im not sure, i've watched the Cotto V Judah fight a few times recently and those early rounds lead me to believe that Pacquiao can have some success early on. Judah had Cotto in real trouble and Cotto had to foul to stay in there! Straight left hands out of a southpaw stance seem to land on Cotto with almost magnetic ease! However, on the few occassions where Hatton landed against Pacquiao he had him in discomfort and Cotto is a heavier hitter...i just dont know at the moment.

Pac will KO Cotto, Miguel's punch resistance will rear its' ugly head again in this bout. Clottey doesn't really have big time firepower so we can't use him as a gauge for MC's chin. Pac will test Cotto's beard especially after round 6 (Cotto fades badly after 6 rounds). Pac will take him into deep waters and drown him by round 9 you'll see that this fight is really over but Cotto's heart will keep him in it until he quits again or is put to sleep.

Any good professional boxer can sometimes be a counter puncher during a fight. So if someone suggest thats its impossible for Cotto to sometimes be a good counter puncher, thats wrong. If Cotto beats Pacquiao, THIS WILL NOT BE THE BIGGEST UPSET IN BOXING HISTORY. Pacquiao can be hit. In 2 fights against Juan Marquez, Pacquiao did get hit many times. Cotto can be just as fast and smart as Marquez and Cotto is a better puncher then Marquez. Can Pacquiao take solid punches from Cotto without getting badly hurt? Cotto has a strong chin. The first few rounds will be close( around 4) then it would go down to game plan and making adjustments. Since Cotto does not have a legitimate trainer it would be his down fall. I don't think Manny is even focus on the 7th world title - he just need this money to help the flood victims in the Philippines. Watching almost all of Cotto's major fights in Youtube, I found he has a strong left hand. He seldom used his right hand. His right hand is not that strong. He could not punch while backing up. He also tends to fade in the later rounds. With guys who had the momentum of the fight, Cotto tends to hit with low blows, very apparent with the fight with Zab and Torres. If he is continously hurt by an aggressor he would back out and runaway being chased. Roach will capitalize on these.

im a filipino and i thot Hatton was ganna slaughter pacquiao .... but he once again showed major improvement from his last fight and pulled one out of his ass.... i think cotto is the stronger fighter especially in this weight, but pac-man is full of suprises.. and i think filipinos will NOT be disapointed come Nov. 14. i hope 2 god pacquiao wins his next TWO fights ( *wink* )

lol. i gave hatton no chance in that fight. manny is great fighter, hatton is a good brawler, but he is no miguel cotto and in no way will this fight and that fight resemble eachother.

BAD CALL! clottey has no speed, no foot movement and no tactics....and still cotto can't win by TKO!...pacquiao has the answer to beat cotto..no doubt....not a good analysis brother.....you will regret...for sure.

where i agree with you is that clottey doesnt have much footwork. where i disagree is that he may not be pac fast but he does have good handspeed and he does have tactics. he uses his winky shell defense and picks his spots. And NO ONE will ko clottey. not a good comparison for pac but cotto has faced fighters w/ speed and movement like shane, judah and quintana. I;m not saying pac will or wont win, he is the favorite for a reason, he's truley great, but i like cotto in this fight.

Thanks for your response Man!! I think boxing needs more of the Pacmans quality to put boxing in the mainstream media which the sport is lacking... Kudos to Manny, the sports starts to look interesting again in the absence of the heavy weight division..I like the lighter weight because you can actually see a real action fight with speed, power and great performances.

I agree that Margarito cheated. When he was caught prior to the Mosley fight he should never have been allowed to fight that night. Fighters have been killed in the ring with "legal" gloves. I don't agree when you say "Pacquiao doesn't have the kind of hitting power to do severe damage to Miguel Cotto" you are just wrong. Unless he is KO'd early, Pac will hit Cotto a lot more than Marg did. He'll throw combinations faster than Cotto has faced. I think Pac will win by late round KO.

I have Cotto winning by decision. Cotto is too slick and he's going to keep backing away from Pacman and keep catching Pacman with unexpected shots.
Mayweather is going to have to fight Cotto instead of Pacman because Pacman is losing this fight.

I don't usually predict until I see them training. But, I already see Cotto trained so, in comparison to the way Pacquiao's training regien. I got Pacquiao by unanimous decision. This will be a 12 round boxing. yeah boy! You will see Pacquiao being too careful. And you will see Cotto very confident. But, once cotto pressures Pacquiao and make some hits, Pacquiao will burst into a thousand punches

I hope there will be no more excuses if Pacman wins the fight. From ODLH where people said before the fight his the bigger guy like Goliath vs David. The same with Hatton where people believe that no one can tough him with his division at 140 lbs coz he never been lost at 140 lbs. How about for Cotto, probably they will say, cotto was drained like ODLH and he didn't follow his coach instructuion like Hatton and MW sr. LOL

I respect your opinion but Pacman is used to being underestimated when he started fighting the well known boxers but he's proven them wrong each time.
The 7th belt he's fighting for is more of a motivation than a distraction, if he wants to put a stamp in a boxing world bearing his name as the only boxer to accomplish this feat this is the fight he needs to focus on being the first boxer to hold this new diamond belt and at the same time the first boxer to hold 7 world title belts.

I got Cotto winning this fight in a close one. It will either be a close decision win for Miguel or late stoppage victory. Dont' sleep on Cotto because of the Clottey performance. Pacman is going to have his hands full!!!

Im not sure, i've watched the Cotto V Judah fight a few times recently and those early rounds lead me to believe that Pacquiao can have some success early on. Judah had Cotto in real trouble and Cotto had to foul to stay in there! Straight left hands out of a southpaw stance seem to land on Cotto with almost magnetic ease! However, on the few occassions where Hatton landed against Pacquiao he had him in discomfort and Cotto is a heavier hitter...i just dont know at the moment.

It's a toss up. This is what boxing is supposed to be, champion vs champion. Win or lose, i'll go for Pacquiao because of his heart. He shouldn't even be fighting Cotto. He's doing something all of you will never see again. This dude is supposed to be a puny little boxer and he's out there bangin with the big boys. Pac is a legend, I hope Roach has another trick up his sleeve man 'cuz Cotto is a monster himself. If Pac wins this fight, he's in my TOP 10 G.O.A.T. If he beats PBF, he's in my TOP 5
