Im a Senior and have just used the plain jane flip phones from Virgin Mobile for years so an upgrade has been in order. This really helped me make my decision. Just ordered mine through amazon. I never liked being tied down to a contract so I always wanted to go with a prepaid route. I got mine for 93$ So I'm pretty pleased. It'll be my first android 'smart' phone.

@ManectricPup Yes, as far as I know its only available as a prepaid. You pay each month  after you choose a plan from 3. They are all affordable. You won't get in trouble since its not on contract if you decide not to pay. Lets say you skip a month, however your service will be temporarily cut off, you can buy another prepaid card to keep using it.

Sooooo True! It's like a brand new device and it's so easy to root and flash the rom. I had a lot more internal memory and the device is smooth and fast and my camera takes better pictures with the new settings. I'm on 2.3.4 CM7 and would like to be on 2.3.7? What are you using for your rom? Does the speaker work better?

Just the connection and all, Im in my car and I can't connect to SHIT, but if I turn my wifi on I can be online, even tho there isn't no wifi around, its weird ... or it will be total opposite, It gets annoying, but still recommend it, But I recommend the Motorola Triumph more! Virgin mobile sent me this phone as a replacement phone. I had the samsung intercept and i brought the samsung intercept back in February from Best Buy Mobile. I did review after review,and everyone said it was a good phone.... WELL I HAD 6 REPLACEMENT PHONES SINCE THEN!!!! It had tooo many glitches and the worst part was that it doesn't boot up properly. @wowitzelijah11 Don't get the Wildfire. The LG Optimus V is a GREAT phone! The Wildfire is basically the same as the Optimus V in speed. The LG Optimus V is one of the best simple Android phones on the market today. Other smartphones from major carriers don't compare when it comes to battery life when you have the Optimus V phone.

4:30 screen responsiveness is not so much an indication of processor power, as the low resolution of the screen, so the processor has less work to do.  Unless you really want to have sharp images, this is a really great compromise to make.

Just ordered one and can't wait to get it. Been a Virgin Mobile customer for 2 years already and could not be happier. Love that the plans that come with these have no BS fees for texting!

I just got this phone last Thursday and I really like it. But can someone please tell me why the battery life is so short and why it takes so darn long to charge it back up to full. I've had my phone on charge for the last couple hours and it's only charged to 34% from 10%. I would think that if the phone had a short battery life, they might make it charge faster than it does.

@lightsplease2 it's plastic and i ordered cheap screen protectors that they sell on the virgin mobile website for like 3 bucks i put it on right away and its been great. the screen protectors don't scratch easy and if they do you just throw on another one.

Phone's great except when it freezes occasionally. About 1 week after I bought it the power button didn't work after I unplugged it from charging, so the screen was black, until I took it to best buy to have them take a look at it.

But I was told that over at boost mobile you can get unlimited everything for $45. I'm not sure what phones they offer though. But if you really want this phone you should get it. :)

This phone has been good to me and you can't beat the no contract $43 a month after tax plan. The 3g is a bit spotty and will sometimes just disappear altogether, which requires me to restart my phone. BUT it does hijack the Sprint Network so I wonder that the root cause is. Other than that it's GREAT and the marketplace has many free awesome apps. Highly recommended.
