  • Hermosa canción y bellísima voz. Felicitaciones makithecat por este regalo al espíritu-

  • what a greta duet it should be, Nana and great Solomon king

  • VERSE 1 IN ENGLISH:

Where will she go, (so) fast and fatigued, the swallow who's leaving here?

For if in the wind she finds herself lost, searching for shelter, she won't find it.

Next to my sleeping place, I will put her nest, in which she may pass the season

I too am in the region of the lost; oh heavenly sky, and unable to fly.

  • VERSE 2 IN ENGLISH:

I also left my beloved homeland, that mansion which saw me born.

My life today is errant and anguished, and I can't return to my mansion any more.

    Beloved bird, darling wanderer, I will always draw my heart close to yours;

I will hear your call, tender swallow; I'll recall my homeland and I will cry.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH for Nana of Greece and her beautiful performance of Narciso Serradell Sevilla's "La Golondrina"! Regards!

  • Very beautiful voice and song.

. . "La Golondrina" (The Swallows), Carlos Francisco with orch.

  • @GomezLaPaz NO SE LA ROBO SOLO LE PUSO LA BELLISA MUSICA A LETRA QUE COMPUSO NICETO DE ZAMACOIS, NO HAY QUE PELEARSE COMPAÑEROS

  • Absolutely beautiful !

  • Lovely! Thanks! The pictures of hard-working migrants say it all... First heard this in 1963 on a UNESCO compilation record; migrated to the U.S., found it again on Napster (thanks to my son) and now here, thanks to you. Migration is HARD, and I even wasn't looking for "a better life", just followed a man.

It was sung on the funeral of Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands (who was German and loved Mexico) and yes, it will be played on mine too

Me encanta.

  • Beautiful & Moving. Did you ever hear this in the movie, "The Wild Bunch" (American movie with William Holden made in 1969 - directed by Sam Peckinpaugh)? Very, very touching scene as the main characters leave on horseback from a small Mexican village.

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written, it was composed many years ago by a mexican doctor Narciso Serradell Sevilla and its spanish original name is "LA GOLONDRINA", which means the swallow and while the original words are too sad and melancholic, anyway the melody is 24 karat golden. In mexico it is played every time someone is departing as a farewell. the voice of Nana Mouskouri is unusually beautiful.

  • @jomaemta pardon me-- I meant to reply to Gomez La Paz

  • @jomaemta Thank you for this comment! Also, this song is more known in Mexico as "Las Golondrinas" /but there are more other songs titled as "La Golondrina" and/or "Las Golondrinas", but they are just DIFFERENT songs. Regards, collector of "La Golondrina" versions w.wide. Also, so sad, so far I know, Nana Mouskouri has not this song in Greek language.

  • Interesting how the French interpretations of this song, "Cet anneau d'or" and L'anneau d'amour" are so different. The French versions by Patrick Normand, Les Gendarmes, etc. are about a man hoping that the wedding ring he placed on his love's finger will be a reminder of how much he misses her and wants her back.

  • Beautiful - just beautiful!

  • Amazingly beautiful song... Very tuneful, neatly performed by Nana Mouskouri... Thanks so much for sharing! ♫♪♫♪♫

  • Very beautiful indeed !

  • oh how I love this song

Enhorabuena. *****

  • Gracias para palambras y mucho gracias para video, salvatorie....

    Mike
