  • I hate to inform you that think Paul and this Hacket guy, or whatever, are the heart of Little Feat. They are still trying to make a living off the multy talented founding member, writer and the creator of Little Feat...The Late Great Lowell George. These guys con't touch him.

  • You have to see these guys live. Thats when you really start buzzing!

  • great instructional video - thank you

  • Great song and what a lovely place to have performed it!

  • Best rockin' band EVER!

  • anyone know what the tuning is?

  • I would like to know myself ? any answer?

  • pretty sure Lowell wrote slide guitar in open G tuning DGDGAD, but not sure if i'm right lol

  • @unfoundbassist ...DGDGBD....????

  • @PeluMaad that would explain the broken strings lol, guess I should stick to bass :) Your correct with open G being DGDGBD not DGDGAD. Wonder if the mandolin is dropped to D as well.... so it would be GDAD

  • @unfoundbassist ....I've never heard of altered mandolin tunings. Sometimes the octave and unison strings are changed up and of course, sometimes instruments are tuned lower...but the keys of G and D are probably easiest to play in standard GDAE tuning. Do you know anything about Gus Cannon's banjo tunings?

  • @PeluMaad I used to have a mando, and I have a tenor Banjo, no experience with a 5 string. I know Led Zeppelin's "the battle of evermore" is played in drop D on the mandolin. One of my favorite youtubers is Jim Richter, that guy plays lots of old rock songs on the mandolin. Check him out, the guys amazing!

  • how about texas twister, let it roll?

  • these two are good, but Lowell George wrote all the music and played the hell outta the slide guitar....Lowell was the TRUE heart of little feet...I mean they (little feet) have not put out a hit since his death, which shows that Lowell was the man

  • aren't we lucky that the true value of music isn't measured by whether or not it's a "hit"?

    BTW genius, it's spelled Feat

  • Gotta agree with ya there...lol

  • Well, LG is long ago dead. Why should that stop these good musicians from keeping on playing?

  • I LOVE the Feat....collectively and individually....rockin'st band ever!

  • double EA ever

    4 eaver featin'

  • Beautiful , guitar playin...and hopin we are all human.........sean.

  • "Pick me up in your brand new car...

You shake the short change from your old fruit jar"

    ............................yea!

Awesome Austinpickers, thanks for posting this gem!

  • Best kick-ass show with full band at Auditorium Shores in Austin. They got soul, rock, bluegrass.

Wild...compare LouAnn's version. That's blues for you. Amen.

  • i miss lowell

  • Is this the great show they did at the Colony Cafe in Woodstock NY..not sure it was great..

  • this was taped in Carmel, but Paul and Fred are always great.

  • it's tough for me to watch and listen to this...because it's such a lowell song...not doubting the talent, to me it just doesn't feel right.

  • These two are critically important to Little Feat but the heart? Lowell.

  • Scooter.....not just the heart.....the very soul of Feat as well.

  • superb. rocks.

  • feats dont fail me now!
