man why are you people so bitter about macs. the only thing pcs are good for is gaming... i guess and thats for kids. the macbook does everything better and more efficiently. everything is easy to use and reliable. my mac has never crashed and i never had any software problems. its runs the way a computer should run. its almost perfect. i think most people are just envious of macs
Guys, Mac doesn't COMPLETELY crash. It just quits the application before it has a chance to roast your computer. And btw, you don't have to start it up again. Only time I've ever had to force a shutdown on my Mac was when I opened Spore and it went fullscreen, and then Spore froze up cause of some weird bug and could "only be quit from the Spore menu" so I couldn't just manually quit it.
@dontworrybehappy6 Agreed. You can bring Windows to a Mac. I can (though it's costlier) put a better video card and a bigger hard drive on my Mac, as well as a better processor, etc. It's not ENTIRELY as "customizable" but who cares? I use a Macbook that's 3 years old, and it can't run EVERY game. My friend's desktop Macintosh has a killer processor that could probably run Crysis. My brother has Mac, Win, and Linux on one computer. Can a PC do that?
@Miizujin I meant like, the application. Or program. Or whatever PC calls it. Safari for Mac, internet explorer for PC. I can get Google Chrome for my Mac. Windows 7 isn't THAT great. I've used it before. Yes, it's a damn good operating system, but it's not like Macs don't have something equally good.
@MegaCellProductions i had a mac and it crashed too many times so i took it back to the apple store and said "take your peice of shit back im buyin a pc"
@ipodappshelpyou Yeah, sure. Trust me, if you ever owned a Mac you would know that it doesn't "crash too many times." If you're going to hate on PC, you need to be smart. Everyone knows that PC crashes more than a Mac, even people who would like to say the opposite admit that. Yes, Mac has its flaws. But when you lie about something just to troll your opinion on the internet, that truly shows your character -_-
@TheZombiesarepeople2 I've owned three Macs in the past and my $400 laptop does not crash as much, I'm telling the truth, I'm not saying that Apple or Microsoft are bad company's I am just saying that my Macs crashed more than my PC, just my opinion. ^_^
@ipodappshelpyou Well, when it comes to crashing, I must say that Macs DO crash individual applications more often than I would like :P HOWEVER, I have never had a Mac crash the entire computer (except when I was playing Spore as I said above ^ ^ but that was Spore's fault, not my Mac's)
@Tiel424 Spore only allows you to exit the game through the game menu. If the game itself froze up on fullscreen, even on a Windows computer, you would have the same result. Except, since Windows can't force a shutdown without a major loss of battery quality, so after the 3rd time it would probably fry your computer and you would have to get it fixed. Just saying.
@dontworrybehappy6 So SORRY! That wasn't me, that was my little brother. Somehow he keeps getting on my account and posting stupid comments. Again, SORRY!
lol MACs ... I have an almost 3 year old PC at work I use for printing out quotes that is still faster than the newest, highest priced 2011 imac .. when will you guys learn
Wow macs hardly get viruses and ive yet to see one crash bad.Macs are high quality that explains the cost . Macintosh is the most advanced os in my opinion.good luck with your failing life. No offense to people who own pcs. ( i own both!) just mac is better
At the start of the video, it shows he hates macs. He's saying that PC's never crash or they do because of the mest up coded OS. So isn't that proving Mac is better?
Wouldn't you have a mest up coded program than an operating system being nest up? Without the OS there is no use for programs or even having a mest up os like Windows me, or vista.
WTF man You made countless errors in your description and you seem to missunderstand the concept of "Macs/PCs crashing". When a computer crashes it shutsdown or you are forced to shut it down due to it freezing... Macs generally don't crash (I've witnessed it twice) Windows does... VERY OFTEN (especially XP).
Stop hating on Mac for making easy to use and reliable computers for people who are n00bs and at the same time very advanced computers for the pros out there...
That's incredibly relative. My Windows installations haven't crashed or locked up ONCE in the last 10 years. That's a testament to proper setup on the first install. Something you only need to do once, I might add.
By contrast, I unpacked a friend's iMac last month (despite my warnings), and in the first 30 minutes we suffered 2 kernel panics and 5 Safari lockups.
So much for Mac stability! Pound for pound, Windows is far more stable when set up correctly.
@Todesstern9393 Actually I have a Windows 7 based laptop, and I also have an Intel iMac. I've never experienced more crashes than I have on the iMac, and the iMac has the ATI x1600 so it overheats, and displays graphic glitches, but Mac OS X doesn't set the fan speed higher on its own, at least with Windows it controls the fan speeds, I had to manually set the speeds myself just so it can run good, and it still doesn't run good. Macs are NOT user friendly, it doesn't work the way you WANT it to.
@ZackaryVS Im done and tired talking to n00bs eat shit and die for all I care. Use windows and be proud of it because you know what I'm done caring about people who've decided to find any reason to hate macs. So anything I wrote commenting on this video - don't think I'll reply to any responses.
@TheUberDeity Whoa, whoa, whoa. You can hate on the computer, you can hate on the operating system. Hell, you can hate on Steve Jobs. But don't make fun of Mac users. You obviously don't know any.
All of which can be done on a PC with comparable, or BETTER software. For every Final Cut Pro, there's a Sony Vegas waiting to stomp it. Not all music producers use Macs. We've got the choice of better sound cards and hardware and a plethora of infinitely better programs. No professional uses GarageBand to record music, sorry. Now try utilizing a REAL music program like Sonar Producer. Instant Mac-destruction. ProTools and Reason run on PC, so that argument is out.
No you don't. :) But if you did, then I commend your blatant stupidity, as NO program can take advantage of 12 cores, period. So you basically overpaid for what is essentially a worthless piece of shit.
You're only as strong as your weakest muscle. I suggest you take a look at the 12-Core MP's video card and RAM, both of which are obsolete and pathetic. 12 cores won't do you much good. Like all newbies and stat-whores, you think more Cores equals better performance. Haha!
That's just the problem. It isn't future-proof. The 12-Cores in the Mac Pro will be eclipsed EASILY in 6 months by CPUs with triple or quadruple the processing power. And since NO programs can fully utilize 12 cores, there's no sense in utilizing 12 cores. Last year's Mac Pro failed 3 out of 4 benchmarking tests and only held a minor lead in video encoding. So much for the power of 8-Cores.
Bigger number does NOT mean more power all the time.
Never upgrade to a platform that hasn't been readily accepted as mainstream, or you'll be sorry. When Quad-Cores first came out, they performed equal, or sometimes WORSE than their Dual-Core counterparts, yet spec-whores bought them up in droves just to say "i bought one." Same with 8 and 12 core systems. Quad-Cores are industry standard and 6-Cores are just making headway. You'd be better off sticking with a 6-Core system only, and even THAT is overkill right now.
There's a reason why last year's 8-Core Mac Pro got the living tar beat out of it by Quad-Core systems. Why? Because the Quad-Core had better relative components, including much, Much, MUCH faster RAM and GPUs, preventing bottlenecking. High intensity applications like high-end gaming or 3D animation require RAM/GPU power, something that the Mac Pros ALWAYS lack. Apple uses ECC RAM, meant only for servers, and slower than conventional RAM. Their graphics cards are HORRID.
Nah I take it in stride. :) It's fun pointing out the glaring faults of idiots who post nonsense without any common sense or evidence to back them up. Makes my job as a YouTube butcher so much easier.
For a laptop I use a Clevo X8100, and I'm in the process of building another desktop, but I'm holding off until the next Intel chip refresh, which should be soon.
Snow Leopard was found to have a minuscule increase in desktop multitasking performance when pitted against Windows 7. As for light weight and battery life....huh? Exactly what PC laptop were you using before? You don't need an ASUS G73JH-A2 for college.
You got ripped, I'm sorry, but it's true. Your Macbook cost you WAY more than a better PC laptop would have.
@Giovanni1989 Mac fag. Macs are just peices of shit. Besides, even if he couldnt afford one, why would he berate it. Little kids being exposed to mac due to parents wasting precious money on stuff that looks "shiny, cool, new awesome and A PEICE OF SHIT THAT HAS FANCY ANIMATIONS"
macs are for noobs and those who dont know much about hardware.macs are for lazy people who dont even bother to look at the price properly and to at least...COMPARE...
@BobDolman Its not out for mac pc's I am sure if you want it you can put it in the ZIF CPU Socket and see if the motherboard will load it from the BIOS.
Its a try but i have no idea if Mac OS will run a 6 core i know it will run a 4 core that just came out for it! Mac just start'd using Intel
Most windows PC's are not set for the 6 core Central Processing Unit just yet because it just came out!
So if you want to laugh like you know what you are talking about your wrong.
@TheUberDeity you did not get what i say'd the 6 core is not out for the mac computers yet. That doesn't mean that the mac os cant run it. Read what i say'd dam. They don't sell the 6 core for the mac systems yet. You can put it in your self and see if it can post from the threads.
I know what you're saying. But it'll be a long time before Macs get 6-Cores, period. They're still utilizing generic quad-cores that get trounced by everything else on the market. Maybe when DDR4 drops in a few months, Apple will start utilizing 1333Mhz DDR3.
@TheUberDeity Now your getting it! If you have read the who works of my posts then you would of seen that! They just got intel. Read what i wrote before you comment.
Secunia: Apple software has the most vulnerabilities.
Mac users are fucking retards! They are getting BSODS because they go to C:/Windows/system32, and delete everything. They dont install Anti-Viruses because they are lobotomy patients.
That being said, I applaud Mac lovers for trolling a "Mac sucks" channel in order to defend their platform of choice, but it's a lot like trying to say that all of Toyota's recalls are myths and that they never happened, purely because you're a Toyota buyer. At some point, the lunacy, foolishness and immaturity must end, and you have to 'fess up to reality.
@TheUberDeity you are my idol. Apple makes those shitty commercials because they are jealous and they want people to think that Windows sucks. You will get a BSOD only if you delete shit from "Windows" folder you fucking assholes. You need to learn how to use a fucking computer. Steve Jobs is a fucking imbecile. Everything he makes sucks dick. iPhones have signal problems, Macs crashing more than PC, iPad too big, ishuffle doesnt have a screen and so on...
I have to agree with you. When a professional hacker (and Mac lover) who used to work for the NSA says that Macs are the most easily hackable computers on the planet, it's pretty hard to dismiss those claims.
Fact is, they are literally the LEAST secure machines on the planet. When Malware authors finally deem OSX to be worth their time, they're (according to Charlie Miller) going to have absolutely ZERO trouble making their attacks work.
Actually, it isn't possible to delete stuff from your system32 folder unless you take ownership of the files you are trying to delete and change the permissions on the file. People who delete stuff from that folder without any knowledge of what they are deleting probably wouldn't know how to do that.
In case you haven't figured it out.....a Troll is someone who goes onto a channel that he doesn't agree with, to start fights.
Kinda' like you, going to "Mac sucks" channels and trying to beat people who are 10 times smarter than you. You know.....that thing you do every week with me, and keep failing at.
Trolling is also following me into every other channel just to get my attention. :) Don't call pot black, Mr. Kettle. You're SO easy to slaughter.
Naaaaaaaaaahhhhh, you claimed it. And no, the Mac Pro CAN'T tackle anything higher than 32GB. The 2009 line was susceptible to nothing but an unstable, untested 64GB RAM package consisting of RDIMM RAM. The 2010's can't handle it, as that little hardware trick has been fixed.
As for sock puppet accounts, hahahaha! I don't need a sock puppet account to slaughter your ass. Since I arrived here, you've been nothing but entertainment for me. NOTHING MORE.
CompIlliterate is so DESPERATE for my attention that he even started following me into channels that had nothing to do with computers at all, just to reply to my comments and get me to talk to him.
Then he creates a sock puppet account and says he wants to talk to me over Skype, probably to jack off to the sound of my voice :)
This coming from the guy who's sheepish and foolish enough to go out and buy an untested 64GB RAM module kit that Apple doesn't support on their limited hardware.....not even knowing that its outdated RDIMM RAM modules, just to say 'hey, my Mac can handle 64GB of memory"
Which is alot like strapping two jet engines onto your car, just to beat the guy next to you at a red light, not knowing that it might blow your car up.
@TheUberDeity its true what im saying and what you are saying is wrong mac is way better then windows and if you think that that is a lie well you are wrong but its your opinion that windows is better so i dont care about that. but it dosent get owned by evrything in the market bitch
You state opinions. I state facts. Windows 7 DESTROYS Snow Leopard on a head-to-head comparison of high end performance, and CNET ran the test. THeir computers are abysmally shitty, piss-poor excuses for computers that get absolutely raped, slaughtered and spit at by machines with REAL power.
Just go ahead and pit your top-tier, fully loaded Mac Pro against the types of machines I can build for $1000 LESS. Thing is, they'll have 5 times the power of the Mac.
@TheUberDeity Dont you get it asshole mac is better and snow leopard pwns windows7 and by the way windows is too crappy mine always gets blue screens of death and ive never seen my moms mac get kernel panic.
and mac has a wireless feature that windows dosent even have so basicly apple pwns microsoft. and macs have 10 times the power of windows.
Obviously YOU haven't gotten it, but I suggest you read the CNET article where Snow Leopard went up against a Bootcamped Windows 7 on the same Macbook machine, only to get RAPED by Windows 7 on high end gaming and graphics performance, everywhere it really counts. All SL did was hold a meager, marginal lead in desktop multitasking performance and battery life.
WHAT wireless feature, exactly? What in the fuck are you talking about? 10 times the power of Windows? Hahahahahahahaha!
Do yourself a favor. Don't talk about things you're CLUELESS about. Is Apple's piss-poor 1066Mhz ECC DDR3 going to hold a candle to the high performance 2200MHz DDR3 available for PCs? NO!!!!
Are the pitiful Mac graphics cards going to compete against 5970s and GTX480 cards? NO!!!!
Mac lacks EVERYWHERE. Apple purposely does this as bait for schmucks like you to come walking by, take interest, then drop your pants and take a good assfucking at the cash register. Congratulations!
@TheUberDeity yeah uhh i dont tell my mom nor my dad to do that i just dont complain to then but anyway mac is better with the software the graphics and of couse it only crashes when u have windows running on a mac
I was an Art Director for 15 years, kid. Do you think I haven't used Macs before? I've been using Macs directly, or inadvertently, right up to this year's iMac line. Trust me when I say they're NOTHING to write home about. I got annoyed and bored with OSX's kindergarten-level functions and dead-endedness, and as for the hardware.....well......we all know Apple scrapes the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hardware components, so all I did was snicker.
In short, Macs suck. Have sucked since 84, suck right now, and will continue to suck until Apple wakes up and gets tired of being the computer world's biggest joke. Anyone with a generic tech-knowledge in their brain knows this. But for every smart person, there are 100 of you weak-minded sheeple who get a hard-on at Apple products, only to wonder why your P.O.S. Mac can't even keep up with 3 year old software.
Another fried Macboy. Yes, you were. Conversation OVER.
TheUberTroll is another faceless gutless wintard whom goes around channel to channel talking shit about the apple platform, upon being slaughtered by a mac user under his former account that he was using sock accounts, suddenly several accounts were closed on the same channels, including the former account, furthering suspicion of sock accounts. Fearing being slaughtered on a live skype challenge, TheUberTroll offered nothing more but a one page excuse littered with sexual demeaning text.
CompIlliterate128 is just another spec-whore who gets a hard-on when he sees bigger numbers, not realizing that they'll mean WORSE performance and even LESS bang for your buck than doing what every smart person does..........builds a PC with maximum charged, latest and most powerful hardware.
I kill this little kid every week. Is it any wonder that he's going to seek out obscure, untested and obsolete shit hardware in an attempt to make it look as if his machine of choice is better?
Which doesn't matter in the SLIGHTEST, since Apple hardware can't take advantage of the most powerful hardware out there. 1066Mhz DDR3 is its limit, so if you can find it cheaper somewhere else.....SO WHAT???
Your claim of 64GB on the Mac Pro is
1) for the 2009 line ONLY
2) weaker, and more pathetic than standard Mac RAM
3) is nothing more than an untested hardware hack by an obscure 3rd party company
The vast majority of their competitors use the same ram, and THEY cannot take advantage of the more powerful ram, so the 1066mhz ram claim is a moot point.
Ive swapped ram in other apple machines before, and the warranties were still valid. So I guess im really fucked now.
You have no proof of this other than your own words, since you're a faceless lifeless troll.
Not to mention that Apple's notoriety for closed-source hardware configurations means that adding the OWC RAM kit undoubtedly equals an automatic voiding of your precious Apple warranty if something goes wrong.
Seriously, it's guys like CompIlliterate128 that make Apple the company they are today. "Bigger number is BETTER!" That's what they live by, without stopping to read between the lines. That's why they buy Macs. Cluelessness begets cash register sodomy.
All hail CompIlliterate128, a guy who....in utter desperation of proving himself (and failing terribly) decides to tell Apple what their own computers are capable of, despite the fact that Apple built them and sells them.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such is the lunacy and pitiful minded tomfoolery of Mac lovers.
I just LOOOOOOOOVE raping and annihilating know-nothing fool-fucks like faultyservice who haven't a CLUE what they're talking about......only to kick their ashes to the curb thereafter.
If the Mac crashed because of a badly coded OS, wouldn't a simple program crash, such as the one you showed with Photoshop, cause the whole OS to crash?
All operating systems have their ups and downs, none are perfect. If you actually find a computer with a build quality that matches the Macbook Pro (such as the Dell Adamo for about $1800, or the HP Envy for about $1200), you'll see that the pricing gaps aren't as big as you think. Unlike other manufacturers that make low- and high-end computers, Apple only makes high end stuff. That's why the prices are so high. Do some real research, don't compare budget computers to the MacBook Pro.
The current Macbook Pro is $2499. guess what. It sucks.
Compare it to a G73 series laptop by ASUS for $1600, or a Clevo X8100 (which literally kills, murders, and rapes every Macbook in Apple's line).....and yes.....the price gap IS big.
@TheUberDeity Yeah, the MOST EXPENSIVE one is $2499. They start at $1199. The Asus may have better specs, but once again, it's a cheaper build. A great deal of the MacBook Pro's price comes from the aluminum unibody case.
ASUS has the best build quality in the business, and the absolute BEST warranty. Try reading it sometime. I can purposely spill my coffee all over the machine, and ASUS will replace it free of charge.
Face it: ASUS has been the leader in quality for decades! That's why their hardware is the absolute best in the business, and always has been.
Mac on the other hand, uses mid-range parts in a unibody design. That's HARDLY enough to justify the price tag.
@TheUberDeity Believe me, if I'm ever in the PC market again, the first place I'll look is Asus. They make fantastic computers. But the point that I'm trying to make is that they're made of plastic. The plastic cases bring the cost down quite a bit. The best comparison would be to the white MacBook. Is that computer overpriced? Yes! Is the MacBook Pro overpriced? Probably. But not by as much as you think when you compare it to a comparable computer like the Adamo or Envy.
I fail to see why someone would want to shell out a ton of more money for an aluminum body case. PC cases come in aluminum as well, especially the truly high-end ones. But for a laptop? Plastic suits me just fine. I don't give a hoot about the exterior styling (which Mac fans seem to think is a deal-maker or breaker). I care what's inside. And laptop price tags should always be a reflection of the hardware inside.
Apple hasn't gotten that through their skulls yet.
@TheUberDeity Ok, that may be your opinion, but it's not everyone's. I'm just trying to explain why the price is so high. I'm not here to argue which system is better because frankly, I don't care what you use. I'm happy on my Mac. If you like Windows then more power to you. I just hate it when people judge the Apple hardware gap like it was 5-10 years ago. I can play FSX at ultra-high settings on my year-old baseline MBP 13", and that's as much power as I need.
@TheUberDeity The Mac Pro isn't a gaming machine, it is designed for power users. If you need a better video card (because the video card really is the only thing holding it back), you can upgrade it just about as easily as you could on a PC.
Yeah, sure, and bring the price tag up almost to $10,000.
Tell me, moron.....are YOU willing to pay an xtra $3799 on top of the existing $3799 to max out a Mac Pro's RAM with slow-as-fuck, first-gen 1066MHz DDR3 (ECC, to make matters even worse)?
For $1000 less than the price of a top-tier Mac Pro, I'll create a custom PC with 6 times the power that'll eat that little aluminum trash can for breakfast. I've already done it, in fact.
Actually, MORON, maxing out a Mac Pro's RAM costs an additional $3799 on top of the existing $3799 price tag.
Unfortunately, that's first-gen, cheap, slow-as-fuck 1066MHz DDR3 (ECC, to make matters even WORSE!), meaning that you're getting the absolute slowest, bottom of the barrel RAM available.
A quick call to Apple will confirm that Macs cannot handle any RAM other than 1066MHz, so upgrading is useless.
faultyservice = motherfucked YET AGAIN, four times in 3 minutes!!
No, it's $3799. Period. End of story. It's already been checked on Apple's site. And that's for cheap 1066Mhz DDR3 (bottom of the barrel). Argue till' you're blue in the face.
Your comment about upgrading to 64GB of RAM is more CompIlliterate128 bullshit, son :) I just called Apple and they said "No way, José. 32GB is the max."
Also, have a wonderful, WONDERFUL time tracking down 8GB RAM sticks for cheap :)
So, what have you got for me next week, Comp? Are you gonna' try the one-up game again? Or has failing for the 14th or 15th time soiled your appetite?
Not to mention that Apple themselves state that it's not possible. Now you're going to trust some random, nameless, faceless blogger who decided to jury-rig his system?
Or have you forgotten that because of dual and tri-channel configurations, putting 8x1 RAM sticks in a computer will actually offer a DECREASE in performance as opposed to a gain?
You're so funny! And annihilating you is SOooooooooo easy :)
You engineers have no common sense, ill send it to you in a PM.
^_^
And still my claims still stand, I can max out my ram to 32gb for $1000, and for $4000 upgrade my ram to 64gb ram. Oh while holding the "6" and "4" keys (64-bit mode). Given I purchase these parts, and install them myself.
That's why you bought Mac. My comment stands as 100% undisputed FACT! You look at the bigger number and ASSUME you're getting a higher peak performance, despite
1) Single 8GB sticks are SLOWER than a 4GBx2 configuration
2) The OCW RAM you speak of is weak RDIMM, instead of FDIMM (which on 8GB still sucks)
3) That paying that much money for 64GB of RAM is the most foolish, clueless thing you can possibly do.
I haven't forgotten. But what CompIlliterate128 is talking about is the same idea as putting a Chevy engine in a Lamborghini. Not only is it pointless, but it's stupid. But then again, he hasn't said anything smart since day one, so why should I be surprised that he'd be willing to listen to a tinkerer who has only tested an unproven RAM kit BY THEMSELVES that is basically low-grade, low-performance RDIMM RAM? Latency times and quality mean nothing to him.
wouldn't know much about that as I'm not a comp junkie but I know guys who are. I get what you're saying though. still 64GB in a Mac is impressive even if it isnt really 64GB quality
No, it isn't 64GB quality. It's like when I was building computers for people who didn't like paying higher prices for RAM. I told them "you get what you pay for. If you buy shit RAM, you'll get shit performance." I load my computers with NOTHING but the highest quality, lowest-latency RAM on the market at any given time, and the results speak for themselves. Besides, this "trick" can only be pulled on the 09' MP line. It's nothing but a cheap hardware hack.
maybe but thank you for the clarification though. Does not matter if you are using Mac or PC though nobody is going to use 64GB let alone 32GB. just a waste of cash.
You're very right. But spec-whores are not only a dime a dozen, but very naive and easily fooled, my friend. It's no different than looking at the GHz of a particular CPU vs. another and automatically assuming that higher number means better, faster performance. Half the time, it's quite the opposite. It doesn't matter what number of hardware you put in. What matters is real world tests.
I however, am FAR too intelligent to be a spec-whore. I know what to buy, and when.
@TheUberDeity Maxing out a mac pros ram only costs $1000 fact.
Its possible to upgrade a mac pros ram to 64gb ram fact.
Common sense man.
Oh and as far as your narcissistic personality disorder is concerned, you were challenged to a live MVP debate with my buddy nicks alter ego and the best you had to offer as a counter was a one page excuse riddled with oblique arguments and sexually demeaning text. That's pretty gutless if you ask me.
In other words, you made a sock puppet account (your "buddy") to try and challenge me to some half-witted Skype conversation so he could sit there and get turned on by the sound of my voice, right?
Thanks, Comp!! You just outed yourself!! Hahahaha!!
Like I said, you can try for YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEARS to beat me, and you'll never do it. Every time we argue, I send you home in 5 different suitcases of assorted body parts and one big crushed ego.
@TheUberDeity Um no, I have a face and name, so does nick. You on the other hand, do not.
My claims still stand, you were wrong, it doesnt cost $3800 to max out a mac pros ram, and its not impossible to max it out to 64gb, AND if you still cannot man up to nicks skype challenge, you are still a gutless, faceless, troll.
Keep talking, cunt. Apple's site says $3700 to max out the Mac Pro's RAM, therefore it is. All a person need do is check it out for themselves.
You can max out a Mac Pro's RAM to 64GB with pathetic, garbage RDIMM RAM (which no self-respecting computer expert would DARE do), and still pay an astronomical price tag for DECREASED performance. And you'd do it because you're a weak-minded stat-whore.
"Nick" is just another cunt. I don't play with little children. I dismiss them.
@TheUberDeity I don't upgrade through apple, I buy the parts from some 3rd party outfit and do it myself, just like I dont send my car to the dealer to get repaired,
Still my claim stands that a mac pro can be maxed to 64 gb ram. You said otherwise to both, and I proved you wrong.
ive yet to see you take on this live challenge, and offer something else other than a petty gutless excuse. Your still nothing but a faceless cowardice troll.
hmmmm thats funny, my mac has an i7 quad core and i only payed 1000 for it

Sorry, but I prefer my Mac Pro octo-core to any Windows PC. You can have your opinion.

TheZombiesarepeople2 10 months ago
Why don't you guys just SHUT THE FUCK UP! Jesus, Macs and PC's are totally different and do good with different things.
Mac:
Doesn't need virus protection. (At least until people start creating viruses for it)
GREAT for Video editing and a small amount of games.
Doesn't ever crash. (At least in my experience with Macs)
Can use both windows operating systems.
PC:
Great for games
Great for internet surfing
dontworrybehappy6 10 months ago 5
@dontworrybehappy6 Agreed. You can bring Windows to a Mac. I can (though it's costlier) put a better video card and a bigger hard drive on my Mac, as well as a better processor, etc. It's not ENTIRELY as "customizable" but who cares? I use a Macbook that's 3 years old, and it can't run EVERY game. My friend's desktop Macintosh has a killer processor that could probably run Crysis. My brother has Mac, Win, and Linux on one computer. Can a PC do that?
Btw, Mac has a far better internet browser...
TheZombiesarepeople2 10 months ago
@TheZombiesarepeople2 Google Chrome win's, hands down.
Window7 is the reason Mac's still are trying to compete.
Miizujin 10 months ago
@Miizujin I meant like, the application. Or program. Or whatever PC calls it. Safari for Mac, internet explorer for PC. I can get Google Chrome for my Mac. Windows 7 isn't THAT great. I've used it before. Yes, it's a damn good operating system, but it's not like Macs don't have something equally good.

@TheZombiesarepeople2 I've used a Mac too, but it just got boring. I guess Diffrent Operator User's see everything diffrently.

But when you lie about something just to troll your opinion on the internet, that truly shows your character -_-
TheZombiesarepeople2 10 months ago
@TheZombiesarepeople2 I've owned three Macs in the past and my $400 laptop does not crash as much, I'm telling the truth, I'm not saying that Apple or Microsoft are bad company's I am just saying that my Macs crashed more than my PC, just my opinion. ^_^
ipodappshelpyou 10 months ago
@ipodappshelpyou Well, when it comes to crashing, I must say that Macs DO crash individual applications more often than I would like :P HOWEVER, I have never had a Mac crash the entire computer (except when I was playing Spore as I said above ^ ^ but that was Spore's fault, not my Mac's)
TheZombiesarepeople2 10 months ago
@TheZombiesarepeople2 OH NOES! It was the software's fault, not the computers! Macs are infallible!
Tiel424 9 months ago
@Tiel424 Spore only allows you to exit the game through the game menu. If the game itself froze up on fullscreen, even on a Windows computer, you would have the same result. Except, since Windows can't force a shutdown without a major loss of battery quality, so after the 3rd time it would probably fry your computer and you would have to get it fixed. Just saying.

Todesstern9393 1 year ago
@Todesstern9393
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@Todesstern9393 Actually I have a Windows 7 based laptop, and I also have an Intel iMac. I've never experienced more crashes than I have on the iMac, and the iMac has the ATI x1600 so it overheats, and displays graphic glitches, but Mac OS X doesn't set the fan speed higher on its own, at least with Windows it controls the fan speeds, I had to manually set the speeds myself just so it can run good, and it still doesn't run good. Macs are NOT user friendly, it doesn't work the way you WANT it to.

@Armaangandevia1
Haha!
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity i know that i just want it to be future proof
Armaangandevia1 1 year ago
@Armaangandevia1
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@Armaangandevia1 dude i know im just saying it will not crap out on me in 4 years or will slow down a lot and wont be able to handle the processes
Armaangandevia1 1 year ago
@Armaangandevia1
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity I DONT GIVE A SHIT
Armaangandevia1 1 year ago
@Armaangandevia1

So much for confidence in Apple.

1) for the 2009 line ONLY
2) weaker, and more pathetic than standard Mac RAM
3) is nothing more than an untested hardware hack by an obscure 3rd party company
4) will void your Apple warranty
Your comments DON'T stand. Mine reign Godly.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@Troll
Still my claims still stand and you were wrong.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
Not to mention that Apple's notoriety for closed-source hardware configurations means that adding the OWC RAM kit undoubtedly equals an automatic voiding of your precious Apple warranty if something goes wrong.
Seriously, it's guys like CompIlliterate128 that make Apple the company they are today. "Bigger number is BETTER!" That's what they live by, without stopping to read between the lines. That's why they buy Macs. Cluelessness begets cash register sodomy.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
All hail CompIlliterate128, a guy who....in utter desperation of proving himself (and failing terribly) decides to tell Apple what their own computers are capable of, despite the fact that Apple built them and sells them.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such is the lunacy and pitiful minded tomfoolery of Mac lovers.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
I just LOOOOOOOOVE raping and annihilating know-nothing fool-fucks like faultyservice who haven't a CLUE what they're talking about......only to kick their ashes to the curb thereafter.
It's about as easy as taking a dump :)

If the Mac crashed because of a badly coded OS, wouldn't a simple program crash, such as the one you showed with Photoshop, cause the whole OS to crash?
kiddfroster 1 year ago
All operating systems have their ups and downs, none are perfect. If you actually find a computer with a build quality that matches the Macbook Pro (such as the Dell Adamo for about $1800, or the HP Envy for about $1200), you'll see that the pricing gaps aren't as big as you think. Unlike other manufacturers that make low- and high-end computers, Apple only makes high end stuff. That's why the prices are so high. Do some real research, don't compare budget computers to the MacBook Pro.
TheElevatorChannel 1 year ago
@TheElevatorChannel
The current Macbook Pro is $2499. guess what. It sucks.
Compare it to a G73 series laptop by ASUS for $1600, or a Clevo X8100 (which literally kills, murders, and rapes every Macbook in Apple's line).....and yes.....the price gap IS big.
And embarrassing on Apple's part, I might add.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Yeah, the MOST EXPENSIVE one is $2499. They start at $1199. The Asus may have better specs, but once again, it's a cheaper build. A great deal of the MacBook Pro's price comes from the aluminum unibody case.
TheElevatorChannel 1 year ago
@TheElevatorChannel
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Believe me, if I'm ever in the PC market again, the first place I'll look is Asus. They make fantastic computers. But the point that I'm trying to make is that they're made of plastic. The plastic cases bring the cost down quite a bit. The best comparison would be to the white MacBook. Is that computer overpriced? Yes! Is the MacBook Pro overpriced? Probably. But not by as much as you think when you compare it to a comparable computer like the Adamo or Envy.
TheElevatorChannel 1 year ago
@TheElevatorChannel
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Ok, that may be your opinion, but it's not everyone's. I'm just trying to explain why the price is so high. I'm not here to argue which system is better because frankly, I don't care what you use. I'm happy on my Mac. If you like Windows then more power to you. I just hate it when people judge the Apple hardware gap like it was 5-10 years ago. I can play FSX at ultra-high settings on my year-old baseline MBP 13", and that's as much power as I need.
TheElevatorChannel 1 year ago
@TheElevatorChannel
that's nothing to be proud of. The top-level Mac Pro couldn't even crack 30 FPS on Call of Duty 4 at 1680x01050 with 4x AA.
That is.....in a word.......TERRIBLE.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity The Mac Pro isn't a gaming machine, it is designed for power users. If you need a better video card (because the video card really is the only thing holding it back), you can upgrade it just about as easily as you could on a PC.
SchindlerHaughton 1 year ago
@SchindlerHaughton
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity
Anyone can buy a budget mac and upgrade the parts cheaply. ram is an easy upgrade option.
And the price is higher because of support. I had a far better experience interacting with an apple genius.
faultyservice 1 year ago
@faultyservice
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Actually, its $1000, for $4000 I could upgrade the machine to 64gb, using 8gb ram modules.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
@Compwhiz128
No, it's $3799. Period. End of story. It's already been checked on Apple's site. And that's for cheap 1066Mhz DDR3 (bottom of the barrel). Argue till' you're blue in the face.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Since when do I have to do ram upgrades on apples webpage?
Is it difficult to install ram in a mac pro? Is it not possible to order that same RAM from some other outfit, and install it myself?
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
@Compwhiz128
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Thanks for the promotion, but I guess you didn't know about this article here:
blog . macsales . com / 3369-you-can-put-64gb-ram-in-your-2009-mac-pro-8-core
Still both claims still stand, regardless of what you want to think.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
How interesting that your link comes up as dead!
Haaaaaaaaaahahahahaha!!!
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
You engineers have no common sense, ill send it to you in a PM.
^_^
And still my claims still stand, I can max out my ram to 32gb for $1000, and for $4000 upgrade my ram to 64gb ram. Oh while holding the "6" and "4" keys (64-bit mode). Given I purchase these parts, and install them myself.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
@Compwhiz128
NO, you tech-illiterates have no common sense.
Move along, KID!
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity
i think you are both forgetting the main thing. no computer needs 64GB of RAM since there is no viable platform for such execution
MaestroDraven 1 year ago
@MaestroDraven
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity
wouldn't know much about that as I'm not a comp junkie but I know guys who are. I get what you're saying though. still 64GB in a Mac is impressive even if it isnt really 64GB quality
MaestroDraven 1 year ago
@MaestroDraven
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity
maybe but thank you for the clarification though. Does not matter if you are using Mac or PC though nobody is going to use 64GB let alone 32GB. just a waste of cash.
MaestroDraven 1 year ago
@MaestroDraven
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity
Well anyway quit the arguing. There are bettter things to fight over
MaestroDraven 1 year ago
@MaestroDraven
Ohhhhh, this isn't fighting, really. I mean after all, SOMEONE has gotta' educate these youngsters :)
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Maxing out a mac pros ram only costs $1000 fact.
Its possible to upgrade a mac pros ram to 64gb ram fact.
Common sense man.
Oh and as far as your narcissistic personality disorder is concerned, you were challenged to a live MVP debate with my buddy nicks alter ego and the best you had to offer as a counter was a one page excuse riddled with oblique arguments and sexually demeaning text. That's pretty gutless if you ask me.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
In other words, you made a sock puppet account (your "buddy") to try and challenge me to some half-witted Skype conversation so he could sit there and get turned on by the sound of my voice, right?
Thanks, Comp!! You just outed yourself!! Hahahaha!!
Like I said, you can try for YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEARS to beat me, and you'll never do it. Every time we argue, I send you home in 5 different suitcases of assorted body parts and one big crushed ego.
Yes, I do :) You and I both know it.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Um no, I have a face and name, so does nick. You on the other hand, do not.
My claims still stand, you were wrong, it doesnt cost $3800 to max out a mac pros ram, and its not impossible to max it out to 64gb, AND if you still cannot man up to nicks skype challenge, you are still a gutless, faceless, troll.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
@Compwhiz128
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity I don't upgrade through apple, I buy the parts from some 3rd party outfit and do it myself, just like I dont send my car to the dealer to get repaired,
Still my claim stands that a mac pro can be maxed to 64 gb ram. You said otherwise to both, and I proved you wrong.
ive yet to see you take on this live challenge, and offer something else other than a petty gutless excuse. Your still nothing but a faceless cowardice troll.
