His legend is mirrored not only by these older deities, but even in the Bible itself, by the story of Joseph. There are no historians outside of the Scriptures to mention the man Jesus anywhere. For the same reason no historian mentioned Zeus the man anywhere. He did not exist.

Jesus did exsist, but unlike the christians claim that he died on a Cross.....before he was captured God made it so that Jesus would be taken to Heaven and wait until the arrival of the anti christ. Only then will he return. Google in "minor and major signs before the day of judgement" and see what Muhammad (PBUH) said about it....some of which have come to pass.

I can't find your argument. Maybe because you have none. Probably because your only references to Jesus are religious scriptures written centuries "after Christ". You are going to need some non-religious contemporary references to prove me wrong. For example:Muhammad existed, there is a lot of non-religious historical evidence of this. But Jesus? You'd think such an influential figure would have been mentioned by a few contemporary historians. Or at least one. But, no. No one mentioned him.

This argument can go back and forth but they only way to resolve this is if you read The Quran Chapters 3 and 19....they talk about Jesus in deatil and what kind of a man was he. And why should you waste your time reading this book??? Becasue this book is the word of God. If you have time please read that....whats the worst that can happen?

Ok if I come across the Qur'an I'll check out those chapters. But you must understand, the Qur'an is the word of God to Muslims, only. To me as an agnostic, it is no more supernatural than the Torah or the Bible or the Bhagavad Ghita. It is a book written by mortal man, some 600 years after Christ, therefore it will not resolve the argument at all.

Thats the beauty of the Quran, the book could not have been written by Muhammad (peace be upon him) becasue he couldnt read not write, God revealed it to him through angel Gabriel (AS). You seem like a educated man who is also a man of understanding. The Quran would appeal to you becasue you like to challenge things. So challenge the Quran by reading it and try to prove it wrong. That is IRRELEVANT, and I'll tell you why: All of the attributes that made him special to history: son of virgin, child teacher, 12 disciples, traveling and performing miracles, crucifiction, ressurection.. all of these attributes are borrowed from earlier myths/religions. So we'd have to strip the historical Jesus of all that made him special. What do we have left then?

We Muslims believe in some of what you put down but we dont believe Jesus (peace be unto him) died nor in the crucifition AND RESSURECTION. Your right about the borrowing from earlier myths. The Romans didn't want to believe in an Unseen God so what they did was give Jesus the attributes of God so they can worship God better. This coincided with some of their pagen beliefs. History can vouch this.
