  • How can you tell if you've penetrated the bony plate at the sinus floor without perforating the membrane? Do you just 'wing it' or can radiographs tell you where you are?

  • @SuperTonymarquez Bone sounding. If it feels hard than you are still in the bone. Usually you can tell if you have perforated since suddenly there is no resistance unless you entered a sinus septa. A radiograph to double check is always a good idea. using a blunt instrument to feel the tenting if the sinus membrane carefully is a good idea. You don't want to place grafting materail floating in the sinus. placing some colatape or gelfoam before placing the bone grafting helps seal any perfora

  • Sexy background score! Club music! Anyways, this procedure looks easy on a schematic video, separating the sinus lining in this manner is easier said than done!

  • Looks simple, but this go terribly wrong if the membrane breaks

  • δεν αντιλαμβάνομαι πως θα σταματήσουμε τον τρυπανισμό 1mm πριν το έδαφος του ιγμορείου. (???)
