@LiquorWreckedEmGood And you got a lot of licks right? :) Learning licks and analyzing the ideas behind them( Including the theory behind) is what makes you a better player.. Not posting stupid negative comments on youtube cause you have some kind of frustation
Better to learn a little basic music theory and then create your own licks. You're doing it backwards.
My negative comment was far from stupid. What YOU'RE doing is stupid. And your assumption that I am acting out of some sort of frustration is just made-up nonsense you pulled out of your butt hole. I can smell it all the way from here.
@LiquorWreckedEmGood Good one genius, you criticised the last person who responded to you for their assumptions about your frustration at your lack of talent and called it "made-up nonsense they pulled out of their butt hole", and yet now you're talking about my talent, even though you've never heard me play. Illogical moron.
@texbls It has the notes of D Major, but the lick itself seems like it has F Sharp as it's tonal center , so it may be F Sharp Phrygian (the third mode of D Major).
i have a bogner uberschall with bogner cab and i also have an engl oversized cab and i have a engl invader head and fender tele '52 and i use ibanez UV 777
and prestige and i bought not too long ago an ESP eclipse II
you know thats only my opinion!!!! kevin957.... you dont have the right to say that im a dumbass and you must respect others opinion ok? ... i only said that because of my encounters and experiences with other musicians who are pros they said that gibsons and fenders are good ................ because they said ....... DONT SAY JUNK AND BAD WORDS OK ... IM here to give my opinion and im expecting for a positive reply
1. Where in the rule book of life does it say that opinions HAVE to be respected?
2. Gibson is notorious for bad craftsmanship, in general. They strictly thrive on name recognition and a slinky scale length. Go play a Collings copy if you want to play a Gibson styled guitar that is actually worth playing.
actually i know a guy who graduated from berklee this year, i knew him for a while and in the early days i knew him, he always had this peavy wolfgang that eddie himself used a demo for, it wasa sharp black wolfgang with DiMarzio's in it ,it was an amazing guitar, so time passed and i met up with him again , but this time he had a tele , and i wondered "why the fuck does he have that" he told me that the tele wasa well rounded guitar for anything and its was his best choice of guitars to get.
i know kotzen used those custom RG's , i have his old as hell instructional REH video ,with him playing throught the laneys (if you can find the old VHS tape , its a great video for legato , which has been one of the significant things about kotzens playing) and i also must state dont rely on the pro's to tell you on what guitars sound the best, look at greg howe, hes currently playing laguna guitars (not big hella big as fender or gibson) but he has a great tone playing thru those guitars!
yah sorry 4 dat wrong statement yap it still depends on the satisfaction of the guitarist and on how he sets it and sound it up with regards of brand, shape sound and type of guitar and other gears like gtar effects and amps ... so many choices and for me it is more technically depends on the guitarist with regards in his technical knowledge in playing the guitar and making music
for me as for know im using G.L electric guitar and its S.G type like as angus young have but it is not gibson and its sounds good and versatile, my effects used is the zoom 606 japan made and my amp is the yamaha JX50 .. but my dream when i get rich in this life especially after graduation at conservatory of music is to have a telecaster, gibson les paul and taylor for acoustic guitars
a G.L ,nice. my gear consist of an american fender strat, with dimarzio HS-3's. i have 3 ibanez one is an origianl japanese RG, the other is an american S series and the last one is a paul gilbert model, the other guitar is a dean evo special, my amp a peavey EFX, my pedals one morley bad horsie wha and a limited edition hendrix wha(its purple) and i have one american ovation
but hey live you dream and achive the perfect , for me im a tone chaser like van halen
ah ok its good also to be a tone chaser but it depends on the satisfaction of the guitarist ... i already tried many great guitars and the greatest for me are the tele and a gibson les paul ... by the way are you also in college of music?
i understand , we all need diffrent guitars that have that right kind of fell to it...it makes the guitar player more comfortable and compatible with that guitar, especially depending on what kind of music that the musicians is playing. and no im not in any music college ...im just a mere high schooler
ah ok nice to meet u toxicity28 and thank you for your good recomendations suggestions ...... by the way im from the Philippines ...THANK YOU AGAIN PEACE!
its nice to also talk to you man. it fells good when you talk to some one on youtube that meets common ground with another youtuber ,insted of getting into arguements about petty opinions
I love his bluesy playing. Dont get me wrong, I like the fast technical stuff, too, but I find him so much more interesting to listen to than, say, Paul Gilbert, who I think is great, too.
how is this supposed to make you a better player? better to learn a little basic music theory and make your own licks. this video is shit.

now that's class.. he's not bashing poison, despite the soap opera crap that went on.. he's keeping it classy and talking about what he learned.
plus the TONE of that guitar when he backs off the volume is pretty impressive.. it's not just "duh gain duh gain" virtuoso nonsense going on there

yah thats true because kotzen also used the ibanez r.g with a floyd rose tremolo system before and during the 80's
but know he is using the tele and the strat
and for me the best guitar manufacturers are fender and gibson because many pros have chosen it more then other guitar makers
