this is not metal man more like alternative rock.......IN MY OPINION this is a disgrace. i have nothing against A Capella, except this band cause they can not do it good at all every song sounds the same there seems to be only one octave to there voices and they half to use machines to enhance that octave... look up a Capella metal by the global warming extravaganza, these guys are truly a Capella, no enhancers, no computers, not fancy synth just voices....

@ballsdeep420x did you listen to this video and make these judgements? your entitled to your opinion and yes they use a distortion to do a guitar solo its metal i can imagine the sounds of a guitar solo cant be done very well by mouth with out a little help (though im sure its been done). and im still like wtf over the alternative rock comment.. really so rather than metal there like Nickeback, breaking benjamin, red hot chilli papers, foo fighters, stained? more like Kamelot, Apocalyptica IMO

About the laughing, Honestly, I laughed the first time I heard one of your songs. It wasn't like " ha ha ha they suck" it was more like laughing when you're having fun. laughing, like " ha ha oh my god i can't believe how good this sounds, this band is f-ing awesome!" You guys are true artists, and after watching the whole workshop, I am really amazed at what you all are capable of. I can't wait for more music. Definitely buying, definitely not pirating lol.

I think the hardest part for me is, I play drums, while having the vocal abilities of most of Van Canto. That is to say, I could do bass, high Rakkatakka, or even most lead vocals. :(

EIn Civer von Arch Enemy wär mal toll. Vorallem ,da die Amott's echt so ziemlich die besten Gitarristen sind ,die ich kenne.^^ Die Vocals würd ich auch übernehmen. Ne ,Spaß beiseite ,aber die Soli's dürften dir gefallen ,wär halt mal was anderes ,als nur den "normalen" Metal ,sprich den ,der bekannt ist ,Trash, Symphonic und Melodic Metal.

Und noch ne Frage: Habt ihr eine Gesangsausbildung genossen oder euch das selbst beigebracht?

@galiant609 You can find distortion effects or guitar amp simulators as VST plugins, which I think are compatible with Adobe Audition. I'm not sure if there are any freeware ones around, though - the only such software I know about are Amplitube and NI Guitar Rig (both of which include a VST plugin format), but both are commerical.

Ich glaube der Mangel an A Capella Metalbands dürfte im Mangel an guten Sängern liegen. Es ist meist ja schon für eine instrumentalisierte Band schwierig auch nur EIEN guten Sänger zu finden, aber gleich 5?

Was der Name 'Van Canto' eigentlich bedeutet, welches Recording-Programm ihr benutzt (hab selber ein Mikrofon bei mir zu stehen find aba kein gutes und gleichzeitig gut zuhand habendes aufnehmprogramm) und ob ihr im Sommer bei Rock am Ring / Rock im Park dabei seid oder mal durch Berlin tourt.
