Too much combat? Unimaginative? Wow IGN. Setting your standards too far. First I thought Zeta was a unique twist to Fallout so imaginative to me plus the wacky and zany toys in the ship. Not to mention that in Fallout 3 the combat was always heavy however it was less frequent. In this close-quarter conundrum of a map combat was light and more frequent. IGN, I know this is Fallout, but at least have more than just one person think out the cons and pros. Honestly.

@FalloutTactics92 Well, Fallout isn't just a first person shooter. It's more than just combat, and that's what makes it good. Taking away that isn't at all a good thing. You just can't compare a game like Fallout 3 with just a regular first person shooter.

MW3 and BF3 did actually get lower scores because of unoriginal singleplayer plots, but they're primarily multiplayer games. Fallout 3 doesn't even have multiplayer. Plot is much more important in a game like this.

Combat is ALL CoD is about. It has almost nothing else going for it. And when you're reviewing what is essentially a combat game, then it would be silly to say it has too much combat. But Fallout is so much more, and the combat aspect is only one element in the game.

ok i think he just worded to much combat wrong because i played through this dlc today (a bit late in buying it) and i now understand what he meant was that there are so damn many of these aliens, they don't die easy, you need A LOT!! of stimpaks and i mean a lot i went in with 117 stimpaks and came out with 3 and that was with some of the best guns like vengeance and the gauss rifle and wearing winterized t51lb power armor in perfect condition at level 28

I finished Broken Steel, tried the Pitt but didn't like that my weapons got stripped away :(. So loaded my save before I entered the Pitt and started this DLC and so far it's fun as hell. Yeah it's straight combat and the aliens are very relentless but that's a plus for me.

I'll probably do Operation Anchorage next, then Point Lookout and go back to do the Pitt last since it seems to be less on the combat side than the other DLC for this epic game.

see I did this dlc right after i left vault 101 and it was great cause it made the rest of the game easier cause i had all of the alien weapons without this dlc the game would have been harder. I am not saying i needed the alien guns i am just saying it helped me get through the game faster so i could see everything. (oh and the alien guns work great on the point lookout dlc)

You're on a ship trying to escape for your life! I don't see why too much combat doesn't make sense. And besides there was alot to explore if you saught it out. For instance in every room, after you lay waste to all the aliens, walk around and explore. It's freaken awesome. You get a real good idea of what the aliense were trying to do in first place except you have to do the detective work on your own.
