@OnnomonnomonnO It can be any kind of metal, One of my first coils was made with steel cable. However, Copper conducts far better which in turn gives you a more efficient setup and higher output.
I think the Dr. Mario - Music sounds good with this Audio-Tesla Coil too. Could you make a video of the Dr. Mario - Fever music and Dr. Mario - Chill music with the Tesla Coil too?
you, my dear sir, are amazing xD im actually trying to emulate the acrylic tesla coil you made. im really liking your terroids. but they are a tad bit out of my budget, do you have anything you would recomend for use as a top load? and where did you get that nifty chrome steel sphere you used? xD
@geckomage You can use anything metal with a round edge as a toroid. One of my firast top loads was actually made from a few IKEA fruit bowls. I got the chrome steel sphere from a flea market, it used to be a lamp holder:)
Does the lightning flash on the sound (and does the sound come from an external speaker) or does the produce the lightning at the frequencies of the sound (and does the lightning produce the sound)?
What happens if you cool the coils with liquid nitrogen or O2?

@OnnomonnomonnO Actually it will be better to use silver for primary coil , it's conduction is better than copper's .
