  • Great STudio¡¡¡¡

  • Can I record for free

  • is that a Malcolm Toft console???

  • @engendrox This board was designed by Gordon Clark with Joel Katz. Clark was the founder of Data Mix Corporation. DMC also built the first console board at Electric Lady Studio where Jimi Hendrix cut his infamous album, 'Electric Ladyland'. Clark also built console boards for the Record Plant recording studio and Mercury Records. Gordon Clark later worked for Dolby Labs.

  • @judsons thanx for the answer bro... very useful info... =)

  • cant mistake that Orban blue

  • Tape's rolling...

Love when he soloes the flutes track at 1:08...all that "mud, air , noise, beautiful approach!

Sight's not involved in the process as opposed to nowadays "addiction" to DAW GUIs, Plugins GUIs and so forth

    Old School Joel.

    Bravo!

  • 2" tape.... Love the analog

  • Can you please tell me if a L2000 samson mixer (20 ch) will work as well as the M-Audio projectmix mixer for recording? Im planning to buy the samson for recording and performing, but I need to know if it will give me good quiality for recording as well. What do you recommend? Im just doing my own home studio

  • uauu!! Just look at all that gear! Man that's sweet sh**! What's the name of the song?

  • @dbf678

It was written and performed by Ron Foster. Check out Ronfomusicart net. Go to music link and listen to a bunch of his music.

  • @judsons ,whats the name of that song, damn i need a clear sample of that, the hip hop world needs to hear this

  • Capt. Kirk on the mix

  • NICE SOUND AND MIX

  • that guitar sounds farken amazing,,,great tone!!! Just goes to show how using tube technology can benefit in the studio

  • That sounded awesome

  • i love the end because i hear the 2" reel to real stop i miss that i will love to record or track my music in your studio

  • Oh man i would just love to mixdown in this room.

Look at all that gear man, i'd need two lifetimes just to get cooking with half of it in there.

  • nice colorful mixer it turns me on lol

  • ça ressemble à une Trident TSM mais c'est pas ça :)

  • Joel Katz has worked and serviced for Ampex, MCI , Studer, Teletronics, Urei ,

    Pultec and Lang....woooo!

This can explain his spectacular gearlist ;)

For the desk, I would think about a custom MCI or ... an ultra rare Daniel Flickinger board.

    MMM?

  • maby a Toft Trident 80 series... Or even some sort of Neve

  • Man I can smell the 2 inch tape in the air. Long Live analog

  • now thats what I call ANALOG ,I love those sounds of music.

  • Music sounds good,I'm young but that sounds like real music with soul!

  • That might be cause it is the chords to easy like sunday morning and pretty much every curtis mayfield song ever.

  • great vid. would like to see more of these with Joel and some follow up vids where he explains his actions. Kudos. Please post more.

  • looks like some Alesis Adat machines in the background. Like XTs possibly. along with 24 track machines of analog greatness

  • Old School Studio, I love the tape and its warm quality.

  • i love this son. it's wonderfull

  • Joel Katz of Broadway South Recording Studio at his best as a recording engineer.
