Although Hunger for Blood is no longer around I'de just like to say that Garrote does more damage than Ambush and can be used for Hunger for Blood so theres no need to waste the combo points to start up.

HEy, Garrote does ALOT more damage than ambush, its to mitigated by armor.

dont open with ambush.. open with garrote and go immediatly to hunger for blood then use ur 1 combo point for slice n dice then mutilate and evenom and repeat

I have to say if you are starting in stealth the best way to speed your DPS rush is to open with Garrote, hit Hunger for blood, then if you don't have a combo point left over to Slice and Dice, then you go ahead and mutilate and slice n dice at 1-2 combo points.  Then mutilate to 4-5 points and envenom and it will recycle your slice and dice. No need to use the full five points in SnD

/facepalm... never use rupture the reason you get higher dps with envenom is because of the envenom buff that occurs after envenom is cast which increases the chance to proc your posions which accounts for a huge chunk of assassinations dps, watch the time remaining on this buff and even if you can evenom before it falls wait and dont clip it as this will lower your dps...... also never start with ambush just mutilate from steath ambush is a waste of energy.

@UrStudMuffin1 for tank and spanks , muti will eat combat and equivalent gear puts muti approx 300-400 dps ahead , but for constant movement,trash mobs, or fights with target switching combat is the way to go,ooh and 4 point envenom spam is the way to go,dont use rupture unless you need it for hfb

i am a lvl 62 former twink (full nightslayer/bloodfang) as muti/combat but i dont use rotation i use cheap shot muti muti kidney SS then blind stealth then ambush fight over :/

Thanks for Vid man. I have been playing this game for about 3 years now and I usually PVP for the most part. However, with the new Dungeon queue system I am becoming addicted to PvE as well. So, I never really understood how these guys get these freaking 3k-5k dps. I was only doing literally 800-900 as combat, I switched to Mut and now I am doing about 1450dps not terrible but ya ... i guess it still bad. I have a few epics but still blues. Ty for this vid now I will try out your way.

I got an assassination rogue on my server who is about 5.3k Gear score and last time we did Onyxia 10 he got 7.4k DPS and pulled aggro off tank just as flame breath went of and, yeah, all DPS got killed lol. But a good DPS effort IMO.

ok hey not here to bash :) but advice though

1. dont ever use SnD over 2 CP... it gets refreshed by envenom

2. start off with garrote to moar dps than ambush and it also sets u up for HfB

3. your set up should be like Garrote, Snd, Hfb, and Mutilate to 4-5 then Envenom..

with that on saurfang and my GS is at 5.8k i do almost 8-9k dps

HEY GAIZ, well yes this rotation is out of date, now i use instant poison on my main hand, adn deadly on off. and the rotation i use is as follows...

ambush, slice and dice, (in a raid there are usually other classes putting bleeds, like warriors, and druids)then Hunger for blood, mutilate, mutilate, envenom. just keep Hunger for blood up and mutilate 2 times, and spam envenom,

throw in a random auto crit in there, and your good to go, other than that its staying on ur target.

You've got the basic rotation down, but you're attacking the wrong dummy. The Heroic dummy will give you a more accurate representation, but it still doesn't take raid buffs/debuffs into account.

WELL, the addon with the yellow dots is a feature with ICEHuD, and the energy and text is from an addon called Scrolling Combat Text.

this is what the best rotation is. pu garrote and HFB as 1. so you open with garrote, HFB, then go straight to SnD. 4+ cp envenom spam untill you need to rupture again to get another HFB off. new best spec is 51.18.2. if you cant find it msg me and ill link it.
