You need lots more mud...your hair should be plastered to your head! Also for our hair type a basic mud with just water and henna is best...lemon juice or anyother acid will only dry out our kinks even more! My mix is henna + just enough hot coffee to make a paste. I mush it in a plastic baggie (Ziploc) and wait for colouyr release before mudding up (applying). Hopefully you are having better luck these days and have found a better technique!
@Discodumpling Waiting till I buy more henna to show you how it works out with your mix. Not really looking for colour change, just hoping that it'll reduce breakage and repair my hair.
You need more henna for all that hair! Henna needs to be applied thickly, like cake frosting. Your hair looks to be a little longer than shoulder length when you stretch it out, so you should be using 300g-400g (3 or 4 boxes) for your whole head. When all your hair is covered properly, you shouldn't see hair - just mud! Since your hair is so dark, you won't see a color change, except a mahogany glint in the sun, but you will see lots of shine!
@lunahart Thanks for commenting. I wish I had seen your comment before, I was in Granada on the weekend and I bought 2 small boxes of henna, had I known, I would have bought 4 boxes. They were very cheap there. I guess I'll wait until I'm back top Granada to do it again, I really liked how moisturised my hair felt soon after the treatment and I believe it strengthened my hair. I'll make another video just for you!
@kikijo92 I would definitely suggest it. After doing some googling I found out that henna is good for hair that doesn't retain moisture... I didn't even know that beforehand but I discovered it... Definitely get some!
